And finally, here it is! The chapter wherein the story gets its namesake! Woo! I think it's hilarious that essentially, the first chapter was just a setup for this chapter, and the first chapter was so much longer. Anyways, I own nothing. Enjoy!

Before the world went to hell, Marshall and my birthday would usually mark the beginning of winter. We'd almost always have snow, and we had a tradition to go out and make snow angels and enjoy the cold weather. But, after the war, the seasons in Ooo and Aaa had completely changed, and it never snowed anywhere near our birthday anymore. Our birthday was essentially in the summer, now.

When we woke up the next morning, we woke up to a big surprise. For the first time in almost a thousand years, it had snowed. The white powder was everywhere and covered the land like a welcomed blanket. It was beautiful. Marshall and I must've just stood there, looking outside the cave, for hours, just admiring it all. The sky was clouded enough that we didn't have to go out with protection, and Marshall laughed as he tossed me one of his coats, before we rushed out to enjoy it all.

It was snowing softly, and while Marshall was wearing a hat, the fluffy white powder slowly began sticking to my hair, and Marshall's idea to have a snowball fight wasn't really helping anything. He giggled innocently and ducked for cover, and I laughed, going up and hiding on the top of the opening to his cave so that I could have a better shot. I smirked when I noticed there was a certain little hero on his way here.

When I said he should visit, I didn't think he'd do it the next day.

I laughed, though, and threw a snowball at him. He laughed, and I went down to him, and I guess it was unsurprising that he started throwing snowballs at me too. Marshall giggled like a child and came out from his hiding spot, and I pouted, calling that it wasn't fair because it was two on one. Finn laughed and said that I could easily beat both of them if I wanted to, so it was totally fair. I laughed and turned into a giant bat, gathering up snow in my arms and throwing my new snowballs at them. They laughed and hid.

When we all finally started to get cold, Marshall brought some hot cocoa out. He started a fire inside the cave, and we all gathered around it. Fionna showed up soon after, and I smiled, before cuddling into Finn.

. . .

Marceline cuddled into me, and I was a little surprised, but happy too. While it was beginning to melt, she had a thin layer of snow that was covering her long, raven hair that almost seemed to make her glow. She looked like an angel. A snow angel.

She looked up at me for a moment, and with the cozy light of the fire, she smiled. She leaned up and kissed me, and I smiled.

She was my own personal snow angel.
