The next day is bright and sunny as Johnny is watching a nearby Velociraptor and Dilophosaurus fight take place. The Dilophosaurus spreads its magnificent frill towards the Raptor and attempts to spit at its opponent to cause blindness and paralysis. The dinosaurs were put together in an attempt to see how the animals would behave when brought together in an enclosed environment. Both are labeled HDO-9; juveniles.

The Raptor dodges the movement and hisses fiercely at the Dilo's vain determination at taking down its adversary. The Raptor lets out a menacing scream and lunges at the Dilo, grabbing hold of its neck and tossing it to the ground. It then sinks its front claw into the belly of the animal and the Dilophosaurus screams in pain as the Raptor successfully kills and starts eating its opponent...as the Dilophosaurs is still alive.

Johnny turns away disgusted and makes a mental note of keeping both dinosaurs in separate paddocks, rather than allowing them to fight in the same enclosure. He mutters how the behavior of animals is treated like a circus, rather than giving the creatures the full respect they deserve. Soon, a loud hiss takes place from above and a female's voice booms over the speakers "Johnny Lielow, Doctor Grimes has arrived on the boat." Johnny sighs heavily, checks his appearance, and makes his way towards the East Dock in order to greet his guest.

At the dock, a much older man in his early fifties is having his cargo unloaded from the boat by civilians as Johnny approaches him and extends his hand.

"Dr. Grimes, what a pleasure to see you", Johnny addresses. The doctor scoffs and reluctantly accepts the outstretched hand presented by Johnny.

"Good day, Mr. Lielow. I hear you've had unsatisfactory progress on the island", he remarks.

"Indeed, sir. As you know, my father is overly ambitious in finishing his hellish creation, and as such has failed at every attempt."

"And why have you called me on this matter?"

"Sir, with all due respect, your company has unsuccessfully been unable to recreate living specimen in order to further profit your future in recreation technology. Jurassic Universe, however, has done intricate advances at bringing the dinosaurs back to life in a way that all of mankind could have never imagined."

"Get to the point."

"I feel as if a large profit is in place for you to take my father's unimaginable dream and alter the reality. He is completely unaware of the awesome power this technology unfolds, and therefore is unaware of the capable responsibilities that take place as well. Since my unfortunate relationship has kept us apart, I feel your company is more than willing and more than capable of taking this theme park and putting it to good use."

"Johnny, how long have we known each other?", Grimes asks.

"Quite a while, sir", Johnny replies.

"With that being said, why are you interested in selling this advancement? This park was created in favor of your father, and his over-ambitious goals have been proven to exist in real world situations. What exactly is your thought process on the manner?" Johnny lets out a long sigh before proceeding.

"Sir, my father is insane. His plans to make an elaborate theme park have failed rapidly and as his closest related relative—apart from Mr. Ludlow—I no longer wish to be associated with him. The fact that he's mentally unstable makes the matter even worse, and I feel as if my faith and trust in him has been proven rather thin since this idea was in place."

"And you feel as if we can make it work?"

"Absolutely. You see, your company focuses primarily on recreating the dinosaurs in a more natural way. My father's scientists have given them growth hormones which I feel has led them to acting out rather strangely."

"Strangely?"

"Yes, sir. Some of the dinosaurs have purposefully destroyed lab equipment, wires, fences and even power sheds and controls in a vain effort to destroy our expertise."

"And you assume that hormones are the cause?"

"What other cause could it be?" Mr. Grimes sighs before indicating to the workers to stop what they're doing and leave Johnny and him in peace. He rubs his chin thoughtfully before directing his attention back to Lielow.

"Johnny, you have worked tirelessly in bringing this park to life and all your hard work hasn't gone unnoticed. But it seems to me that you don't fully realize the complexities of these lifeforms to jump to such conclusions."

"Do you have a theory in mind?"

"Do you remember you mentioning how all the new dinosaurs have been taken off the lysine contingency?"

"Yes, that's correct."

"And what has happened since then?"

"Well, if anything they're flourishing", Johnny shrugs.

"Johnny, Johnny, Johnny", Grimes tuts disapprovingly.

"Nature is the gift of mankind", he continues. "That has been bombarded for the selfish reasons of a personal motive. In all the billions of years of Evolution, one might think that we have evolved ourselves to a far grander and less impossible assessment of great achievement. With that being said, I don't think your knowledge on the subject is thoroughly rational to assume that this is something to be taken lightly. If the dinosaurs are 'acting out', as you say, there must be something more logical taking place."

"Such as?"

"I'm not sure, but if we are to fully understand the greatest beasts the world has ever known, I don't fully believe that Biosyn is what you're looking for in order of redistribution."

"But sir..."

"Listen, I think we have something truly wonderful on our hands that should be something to consider for the foreseeable future."

"What do you mean?"

"Johnny, you want your father's name destroyed, correct?" Johnny nods.

"Then why not make them better than before?"

"Better than real?", Johnny inquires.

"Why not? The dinosaurs are already acknowledging the removal of the frog DNA and are slowly becoming more like their ancestral counterparts. Didn't Mr. Wu discuss this break-through in making the dinosaurs bigger and badder with even more teeth?"

"Yes, but..."

Mr. Grimes holds up a finger, gesturing Johnny to be silenced before he continues.

"Then instead of running Mr. Hammond's name through the mud, the dinosaurs could be reserved for something far grander and far from impossible. Instead of extinction, we'll focus on preservation."

"And what about the incidents that have taken place?"

"It's a far cry for something much more admirable."

"No, Mr. Grimes. I want these dinosaurs destroyed."

"Destroyed?", Grimes asks in disbelief before laughing throatily at Johnny's comment.

"My dear boy, nothing can be destroyed when dinosaurs are living! I believe we can make the utmost of the circumstances."

"But..."

Just then, a loud blast is heard from the speakers and the female voice from before blares "Raptor on the loose! Charging sixty miles per hour West from the paddock."

"Oh shit", Johnny mutters and runs to nearby shed to pull out an electrical pole and taser before gesturing towards Mr. Grimes to stay put and running off in the fields.

Johnny carefully walks through the vast jungle, staying on edge for any sudden movements. His weapon is fully charged in case of an attack and he's moving slowly to avoid any loud noises that might frighten any creatures nearby. He listens carefully for any particular sounds, but no luck has been made so far.

As he reaches almost a mile or two away from the enclosure, he cautiously steps over a large branch that had fallen from a recent storm. It's covered in moss and is deep within the ground. Soon, he hears something that stops him in his tracks. He draws his weapon forward and continues to move.

Just then, he hears a strange noise that sounds completely unusual. It's high-pitched and distant but appears to be coming closer at range, making Johnny more vigilant as well.

He then hears a nearby tree rattle and quickly charges the pole up as more trees continue to shake violently with an unknown force quickly running forward. Lielow stands prepared for the thing coming rapidly, and the pole lingers to spark as it waits for a strike. Shortly, the force is close enough for swift footprints to sound just a few feet away, coming closer and closer without hesitation.

Before he can respond, a figure pops out from behind the leaves and dives headfirst into Johnny, instantly knocking him to the ground. The pole is knocked from his hands but as he goes to retrieve it, he looks up and sees the commotion; a Parasaurolophus. Johnny sighs in relief as he slowly stands to his feet and picks up his pole.

"Hey there", he addresses as he slowly approaches the dinosaur. "What're you doing way out here?"

Just before he can reach her, she suddenly shakes her head violently and Johnny notices a large chunk of flesh missing from her side. She darts away before he can get too close to inspect. Before he can respond, the conversant high-pitched screech is heard again and Johnny is greeted with nearby snarling. He unhurriedly spins around to find a Velociraptor staring right back at him. Johnny freezes as he faces a stand-off with the hungry predator. Her mouth is dripping with blood and it's plain to see that some meat from her latest attempted kill is still visible in the gaps of her teeth, signifying the escaped Parasaurolophus.

The Raptor circles Johnny and he matches her movement. Upon closer inspection, he notices blue marks running down her back and the color of her skin.

"Hey Blue. How's it going girl?", he calmly asks her as she cocks her head and continues to stare at him.

"It's okay, Blue. I won't hurt you", he says again and Blue looks directly into his eyes as he endures to calm her down. Blue snarls and approaches him slowly. He then tries to discreetly charge up the electrical pole, hiding it behind his back with Blue watching his every move. He presses a button and the sparks begin.

Blue stalks him to a nearby bush, causing him to stumble momentarily and almost fall to the ground. Blue roars fiercely as Johnny maintains his posture and stands upright. He holds the pole to the front of his body just as Blue leaps into the air, right in his direction. As Johnny is about to strike, Blue suddenly falls to the ground behind him and appears to pass out from the fall. He carefully walks towards her and notices a small dart in the back of her neck.

"What the…", he begins...and turns around to find a man he has never seen holding a dart gun and looking quite pleased with the result of Blue, who lies on the ground, shaking in pain.

"Hey, what are you doing?", Johnny yells.

"Calm down", the man addresses. "It's just a tranquilizer dart", he explains before sliding the gun behind his back.

"Who the hell are you? You're not permitted to be here."

"Jeremy Carver", he addresses before checking on Blue. "She's gonna be fine", he states as Blue starts to calm down and relax as a result. He starts to lift her up and cradles her close. He then walks away from Lielow and heads in the opposite direction. Johnny quickly follows.

"Did my father hire you?"

"No, Roland Tembo did. The hell lizards are running wild and after his work on Site B, hired me to help him out."

"Wait, Roland is here?"

"Yeah. He just arrived", Carver explains, feeling slightly annoyed at the array of questions.

"Did my father put you up to this?"

"What do you think?", the man asks rudely. "You really think he wouldn't be taking proper precautions after '93?"

"My father isn't exactly a very reasonable man", Lielow mumbles.

"Serves him right. Now if you'll excuse me, I got work to do", Mr. Carver remarks before shoving Johnny out of the way and leaving him behind. Johnny stands dumbfounded at the turn of events and heads towards the East Dock to reconnect with Dr. Grimes and, evidently, John Hammond as well.
