Zuko and Katara in the Fire Nation Royal palace infirmary, Katara was bandaging the wound that Zuko got from Azula's lighting. Zuko had many memories in this room, the main one was being treated after his Agni Kai with Ozai.
They were in peaceful silence until,
"Katara, we need to talk"
"What do you want to talk about, Zuko?" Katara asked confused
"Us,"
"What do you mean?" Katara asked, yet again confused, finishing the bandaging
"I mean we can't be together," Zuko explained pulling on a robe.
"Why?!" Katara demanded
"Two reasons" Zuko said simply
"One, we have someone else to be with; you Aang, and me Mai"
Katara looked at him, "So? We can be together, what about them?"
"Two, Katara, there are some things in this world that are not meant to be, we are one of them"
