The next morning, Sirius had quite effectively forgotten about the whole train charade, or appeared to have forgotten, and focused all his energy on acting normal around Lupin. Their uniforms, as always, were worn improperly and they were, as usual, late to class. Just because it was the first day of their last year didn't mean they were any more encouraged to participate properly to class. Lupin on the other hand, was his usual good student self. He sat with Lilly rather than the marauders however, which was the first red flag. When they went out on the grounds to eat lunch he spoke little despite the bubbling conversation going on around them. By the end of the day Sirius was seriously worried. When they got to the common room he pulled James aside. They looked at Remus who was sitting at a table alone reading a book. Peter was trying to convince Evans to help her with his homework, and had left the other three alone for the time being. "We've got to do something for Moony."

"What?" James asked, clearly stumped. Sirius looked thoughtful for a moment before snapping his fingers and slipping through the crowd over to Remus.

"Are you single Remmy darling?" Sirius asked.

"Currently." Remus replied not looking up from his book. He was clearly in no mood for games.

"Well, as it turns out, I am too. It's that just...dandy?" Sirius cooed.

"If you ever say dandy again I might kill you." Remus growled.

"Oh but Remus DARLING, would you be so kind as to put your nice big cock in my-" Sirius's quite loud declaration was cut off when Remus beat him over the head with his book. Well at least, Remus had been aiming for 'over Sirius's head', he had hit him square in the nose. Said nose, was now broken and bleeding quite profusely.

"I will not put my cock in your anything." Remus hissed before turning to James who had finally joined them, looking mildly concerned at Sirius who was holding his bleeding nose and glaring accusingly at the stag animagus. "You'd better get your friend to the hospital wing." Remus said before stalking off to their dorm.

By the time the others returned to their room Remus had been mulling over the events of his last year so far. All two days of it. He needed new friends. He needed to not be gay or a werewolf or a marauder. He needed to transfer. But no. He would never find a more loyal group to call his own, these annoying, pure blood, rich boys were his friends and he needed to accept that. So when they entered the room, laughing with each other he rearranged his features in an apologetic grimace. "Remus, you missed all the fun!" James guffawed loudly. Peter nodded eagerly.

"It was not fun!" Sirius sulked.

"Everyone else thought it was funny." James slapped Sirius on the shoulder.

"It's not funny if it's at someone else's expense." Remus frowned.

"There. See? It was not funny." Sirius said as he sat next to Remus.

"Peter was getting on Evan's nerves and just as she was about to hex him this prick walks in through the portrait and gets himself transfigured into a wolf. He couldn't very well turn back because then everyone would know he was an animagus." James burst out laughing once more. Sirius hugged his knees to his chest and leaned his head on Remus's shoulder.

"All the girls wanted to pet him." Peter supplied eagerly.

"They were all over him and he's just a bloody baby about it! Whimpering and hiding under tables." James said holding his stomach.

"They pulled my hair." Sirius mumbled before pressing closer to Remus who figured the most comforting thing he could do for Sirius would be to put his arm around him. So that was what he did. And Sirius, being the fool he was, buried his nose in Remus's neck.

"Do you not like it a bit rough?" Remus smiled. James burst into a new wave of laughter and Peter chuckled along with him. Sirius blushed so furiously it warmed Remus's neck. In retaliation, Sirius sunk his teeth into Remus's neck with a soft growl. Remus stiffened at the erotic display, knowing the other two hadn't seen what Sirius had done.

"Do you?" Sirius murmured. That was it for Remus. He had set such perfectly clear boundaries and here was Sirius dancing across them with a smirk. His punk arse was so easily won and yet, did Remus want that prize? Had he ever wanted it? Maybe, Remus thought to himself, he had always wanted it. From the moment he laid eyes on the shaggy haired mutt he had been smitten. Oh, how well he'd hidden it, so well, in fact, that even he had been unaware. But did hipsters and punks mix? Remus still didn't quite fully understand what a hipster was; perhaps it was the Juliet to Sirius's Romeo. Although Remus felt he would be the Romeo in this romance, Sirius being the flounce he was. But his mind was pulled back to his present predicament as Sirius's hand slipped under Remus's shirt and up his back to trace images Remus had no hope of deciphering. What was his decision? Could he even say no at this point? Sirius was in his bed with hand under his shirt, his teeth marks in his neck, and the time it had taken to happen all stacked up against Remus. Who would believe him if he asked Sirius to stop, after letting the boy get so far? Did Remus even want to say no? He had only one clear option, date Sirius Black. As insufferable as the boy may be, Remus submit to the decision. Although, there was always the option of killing the boy. James wouldn't blame him; he too had experienced firsthand, all that was Sirius Black. But, with the boy alive, at least Remus could get what he wanted out of the relationship too. What he so desperately needed at that moment. So he grabbed Sirius by the front of his shirt, which had drying blood from his nose on it, and yanked him back fully onto the bed before snapping the curtains shut around them.
