Air

The metallic clank of the mechanical winch counted down the seconds to Shane's death. The harness around his shoulders did little to squash his fears.

"Shane, if you don't open your eyes, I'm telling everyone at school you still wet the bed."

Shane glared at Stephanie, who sat smirking beside him. "I don't know how I let you talk me into this."

"I guess I'm just that damn good, huh?"

"You are a pain in my –" Shane's words were swallowed by the manic rush of air as the suspension snapped, plummeting them several stories. All save one. "Fuuuuuck!"
