Bella Swan was currently preoccupied with the feel of Edward's hand in hers. She hadn't done a lot of hand-holding - dragging her little cousin around the mall totally didn't count. Honestly, she never would have pegged herself as a hand-holder. It was so couple-y and clichéd. But with Edward, it felt nice.
She had been a little surprised when he asked her out. After all, he was a part of the popular group, even if it was only by being a blood relative to Forks' Golden Boy Quarterback, Emmett Cullen.
Yet here they were, at the Fall Carnival, where people bought funnel cake and plunked down money to try their hand at the dunk tank - two things Bella had never, ever considered doing. Somehow, it all seemed perfectly acceptable with Edward.
