"Oh my Padfoot. What's wrong?" Moony sat down next to Sirius and wrapped his arms around him. "What happened? Tell me sweet one. Why are you hiding out in the library crying?"

"I've ruined everything." came the muffled reply.

'Wha?' Remus thought kissed the side of Sirius' head. He's so confused for two of his friends are upset, one is mad and the other is well here in his arms crying for...well he does know what for.

He sat there confused for a bit as he rubbed Siri's arm. Silence descended upon them as one cried and the other comfort.

Finally after a few minutes Remus asked "Dear one, what do you mean? Why do you say that? Whats ruined?"

Sirius turned his head and looked at him with dull eyes and choked out "Mine and James' friendship is no longer cause I couldn't hide my feelings anymore. It's ruined, so there will be no more James and Sirius. No more Padfoot and Prongs."

Holding him closer, Remus whispered "I'm sure it will be alright."

"How can you be so sure?" Dull grey eyes started at him "how can you know that I haven't ruined everything? What if he hates me forever?" Tears continued to flow down his cheeks. Burying his face in Remus' shoulder he clung to him.

"He wont hate you forever."

"How do y..."

Remus place his finger on his lips and said "Cause he's James."

They stayed like that for an hour or more, until there were no more tears left to cry, then Sirius pulled away.

"Thanks Moony, I really needed that," He said through sniffles.

"Anytime Buddy, and hey you never know Padfoot and Prongs will be together again, you just have to have patience."

"How can you be so positive all the time?" Sirius asked.

All Remus did was chuckle and say "Hey that's me."

Smiling he ruffled Padfoot's hair, kissed him on the cheek, then asked "Are you going to be ok Pads? You know I'm always here for you. Especially if you need a hug and a shoulder to cry on."

"Yeah, thanks Moons you're a great friend," Sirius smiled at him. "I'll be okay." (I guess was left unsaid)

Giving him one last kiss (this time on the nose, which got Padfoot to laugh) Remus left the library.

Later in the dorm, sitting on his bed, Sirius contemplates what Moony had said.

He lost in thought that he doesn't notice the door open. Or that James was the one who opened it.

But when James saw him in the dorm he closed the door and went back down to the common room. He walked over to the couch and sat down, his eyes were drawn to the fire.

He stared into the flames and got lost in his own thoughts as he thought about what happened.
