A/N: I do not own Naruto or the songs. This chapter is also slightly more light-hearted than the last one.

Every time I look for you, Blink-182

Every time Sakura looked for Sasuke, she was disappointed. Every time Naruto found Sasuke, he was let down. Each time they came across him, they wondered what the point was briefly, before getting back up and chasing after him again. It was clear in their eyes to the rest of their teammates that this constant searching for him prevented them for moving on, and that as a result they remained in the dark.

(Don't Fear) the Reaper, Blue Oyster Cult

Kakashi had learnt, through his many decades of being a shinobi, to not fear death. It was natural to him. Having lost so many close to him, he was no longer scared of death like some of his counterparts; in fact, a small part of him welcomed it, which often led him to taking overly dangerous missions.

So when the reaper came to claim him after fighting with Pein, he went to it with open arms.

Too bad Nagato brought him back.

Online Songs, Blink-182

Ino was a source of constant irritation for Shikamaru. The way that she constantly nagged him, the way in which she obsessed over diets and her insistence of training instead of just relaxing and watching the clouds. He was irritated in the way in which she mooned over Sasuke and her rivalry with Sakura, and the way in which she would bug Chouji to loose wait. He was irritated by the way in which her hair would shine in the sunlight and distract him from clouds, the way in which merriment would dance in her eyes, and her disdain for barbeque.

Exitlude, The Killers

Sarutobi had seen everything. Having been the Hokage not once but twice, and seen the village attacked numerous times. He had seen death, he had seen destruction and fear and resentment. He had seen birth, he had seen life and hope and happiness. He had witnessed generations of shinobi pass through the academy and then the gates to the village. He had seen everything, and now it was time to bow out of the life he had grown to love. It was time to exit.

This Love, Maroon 5

The 'love' Sakura felt for Sasuke was a great source of exasperation for Kakashi. The training sessions were littered with covert glances, giggles and simpering. The Uchiha didn't do anything to assuage the affection, his icy 'hn' often creating fluttering inside Sakura which would lead her to swoon. Kakashi wasn't sure what he had done or who he had offended to deserve such an irritating set of genin, but he was rapidly cursing the Third for foisting the lovesick Team 7 on him.

All the Small Things, Blink-182

Hinata loved all of the little things about Naruto. She loved the way he wore orange, the way he would look blankly at her, the way in which he was genuinely concerned about the amount of times she would blush and fall silent, the grim determination he would possess on a mission, and his love for ramen.

Naruto loved the little things about Hinata. He loved her fiddling fingers, the way she couldn't hold is gaze, her long soft hair, the way she would stand up for him, and the determination she would possess in order to make herself stronger.

Finally, they both loved the way they loved each other.

Walk this Way, Aerosmith & Run-D.M.C

Shikamaru loved it when a plan came together. He loved being able to predict where the enemy was going to be, and able to lay traps that would neutralise the threats when they walked that way. It was easy for him; the only effort required was laying the trap in the first place. Having fine-tuned them over years and hundreds of missions, he could lay one and then simply wait in the tree tops for his prey to walk into them of their own volition. No fights, no irritating injuries, and a 100% success rate. Just by the enemy walking the right way.

Trying Not to Love You, Nickleback

Lee had been told several times by Sakura to not love her, and that she wasn't interested. After his first rejection, Lee had gone to Gai, who despite not having any expertise in this area treated him to an afternoon of sparring to help get over it.

He had asked her again at the end of the war, but after having been rejected once again, he went to Tenten for advice. Tenten helped as much as she could, but Lee found it hard to not love Sakura, finding that he was falling deeper in love with her.

What he wasn't banking on was that Tenten was trying to not love Neji at the same time.

She's a Rebel, Green Day.

Tsunade never followed the rules. She hated them. If there was paperwork to do, she would avoid it. If she was in a meeting with clan heads, she would glares at the heads into submission. She would quite often ignore the elders, and her teaching techniques were…. Questionable. She would drink sake, gamble, and everything else that was generally frowned upon.

But she was also a saint.

Everybody's Changing, Keane

When Naruto returned to Konoha after his training stint, he felt out of place. His peers had grown into chuunin, Neji even having reached jounin. His little flock of followers, Moegi, Konohamaru and Udon had graduated and become genin, and Tsunade's face had been carved into the mountain. Things had changed without him realising, and him staying the same rank as before he left felt odd. He felt out of place for a while, trying to come to terms to the changes everyone had undergone and the fact that he no longer felt the same.

In the Morning

Every night, Sakura would gratefully sink into bed, shutting out the goings on of the day. The evenings were generally known among the shinobi population as 'Sakura-time'; i.e. don not disturb her unless it is a life or death emergency and the hospital is too far to get there without being stabilised. However, these were few and far between, allowing her to have time to unwind on her own. Not even her teammates would bug her.

That would be saved for the morning.

When We Stand Together, Nickleback

The alliance between Suna and Konoha had, at first, been tentative with distrust on both sides. This was intensified after Orochimaru's attack on Konoha, but after it was agreed that that was whole misunderstanding on Suna's part, relations began to improve.

Of course, they improved the most due to Naruto's friendship with Gaara, and in turn led to the Great Shinobi Alliance, allowing the five great nations to do something unprecedented a generation before-hand: Standing together.

American Idiot, Green Day

In the Konoha 11, there was one that was considered an idiot; Naruto. Having suffered it all his life, it became second nature to be referred to as a knucklehead, it eventually becoming an affectionate nickname. Despite this label, he was well liked, and although didn't lead teams was often a valued member.

Sai, when it came to emotions and feelings, was as clueless as Naruto was regarding other matters. He was just as much of an idiot as Naruto was in this regard, but like Naruto was able to learn, albeit slowly and with the requirement of much patience.

Maybe that was why they were put on the same team.

Bottoms Up, Nickleback

There were several ways in which a shinobi relaxed. Some, such as Naruto and Lee, liked to have a few rounds of sparring in the training fields, not stopping until they were completely exhausted or required medical attention or, in most cases, both.

Some liked to read, such as Kakashi. Although the reading material could be less then delicate, it was still a popular form of relaxation, and one many shinobi enjoyed since they could escape their life into another's.

Some, such as Shikamaru, liked to simply not do anything at all. This was, for them, the ultimate form of relaxation and it wasn't uncommon to spot snoozing shinobi dotted around the lake.

And finally, others simply liked going out with their friends to the nearest bar for a drink.

Should I Stay or Should I Go, The Clash

When shinobi got back from missions in which they had been injured, there was only one question on their lips when they reached the hospital; Can I go?

Often shinobi were knocked out by their teammates to stop whining and convictions that hospitals were not necessary. Hospitals were considered the ultimate undesirable destination. It meant that you hadn't been good enough to prevent an injury that required more expertise than was provided in medical kits at home or about their persons. It also meant that you were pulled of the rota for at least a week.

Maybe that was why medi-nins were so highly trained in tai-jutsu.

Losing My Religion, R.E.M

After the first death, Kakashi had stopped believing in the supernatural. By Minato's death, he was convinced that if there was anything up there, then it obviously was not paying any attention. He couldn't understand how a benevolent being could take away his father, best friend, other best friend, and sensei before the time he had turned 15.

As a result, he could pinpoint the time in which he lost his religion.

You're Gorgeous, Babybird

Ino was gorgeous. She knew she was. Everyone else knew she was. With a bat of her eyes, she could get most people to do anything for her. She didn't do this very often, but she knew it was true.

Sakura was gorgeous. She wasn't so sure, obsessing with her forehead, but she did have at least Naruto and Lee chasing her, willing to do anything for her.

Tenten was gorgeous. She didn't know this, but it was true. A certain Hyuuga often found beauty in the way she could wield her weapons and scrolls around, with single minded focus so rare in other people.

A/N: Hello. So it's been a while since I have updated anything, and this is an attempt to shift some of the chronic writer's block that has settled in my brain since… about a year ago… maybe longer… XD

Also, these aren't my songs. My dad recently gave me his old iPod and I have yet to put my own music on.

Anyway, please review!
