Chapter 0 – Welcome to Despair Peak – Part 1
"What a weird place to meet my classmates"
Location – Classroom
Junko groaned as she reached for her head. However, as she did, she lost her balance and tumbled to the ground. "Owwwwww. What the heck is going on?"
As our hero looked around, she noticed that she was in a classroom. A very… VERY weird classroom. One with cameras, monitors, iron plated windows and a weird childish writing. By her hand, there was a paper that seemed like had the same writing on it.
"Hello new student of Hopes Peak class 78! Please head to the main entrance for 8:00am!"
As Junko looked up at the clock, she noticed it was 8:04am. "Shouldn't be that much of a problem, right?"
…Big mistake…
Location – Entrance Hall
So… being stared down by a giant guy with a pompadour is not what she expected. "Can you tell me why you were 12 minutes late?" The guy spoke with a strict and rough voice as Junko cowered a little. "I-I woke up randomly in a classroom at around 8:04ish and since I have no idea where I amIlookedaroundfortheentranceandcouldn'tfindituntilnowPLEASEDON'TKILLME!"
The breathed in before he sighed. "That is a fair reason considering everyone else is confused as to what is going on. But next time, try to be on time." Junko never knew how fast she could nod until that moment. The man sighed as he fixed his blazer. It was a full black uniform which seemed almost militaristic. On the right shoulder, there was a symbol of something called the crazy diamonds. The pompadour guy looked at her with arms crossed and a slight smile.
"The name is Mondo Oowada. The Ultimate Moral Compass. I apologize for my behavior, but I follow the ideology the rules help with our survival. Trust me… I know from experience."

Junko sighed as she looked around the room and noticed that there 13 students minus her and Mondo. So it there were 15 students… wait… it couldn't be…
Junko's eyes pop open as she noticed a girl with a black bob-cut hairstyle. She was wearing a pair of bottlecap glasses and a grey sailor school uniform. She had a black scarf around her neck. Junko rushed past Mondo, surprising him, as she hugged the girl. "Mukuro!"
Mukuro stared at the girl confused before she noticed who it was. "Junko!" Yes, this was Junko's twin sister, Mukuro Ikusaba. The Ultimate Writing Prodigy.

Mondo looked at Mukuro with a stare that questioned all this. Mukuro sighed as she smiled at the Moral Compass. "We're twin sisters. I went with mother while she stayed with father." Mondo nodded before he turned to Junko. "You still haven't introduced yourself."
Junko flushed in embarrassment as she turned back to face Mondo. "Sorry… I'm Junko Enoshima, the Ultimate Programmer." Mondo nodded and gained a small smile. "That's a good talent. We'll need all the smart minds we can get to find out what has happened."
However, they were cut off but a girl in the back corner. "Kidnapping. All of us went unconscious in the main entrance. I should have listened to my prediction."
This girl had flowing purple hair while her eyes were closed. As they opened, two dull grey eyes looked up but not directly at Junko. The girl was wearing what seemed to be a mixture of a school uniform and a shrine maiden outfit with a dark purple coloring.
"Greetings Programmer. I am Touko Fukawa… the Ultimate Clairvoyant."

"Anyways… number 16 is entering now." Junko looked confused until she looked at the entrance. There was a short boy with brown hair that had an ahoge. He wore a white dress shirt, black dress pants, black dress shoes, a black trench coat and was holding onto a black fedora with a green watch on his right arm. "Ah… apologies for being late. I had to finish my investigation this location. I never enter a situation without knowing the facts."
The boy placed the fedora on his head as the ahoge disappeared. "The name is Naegi. Makoto Naegi. The Ultimate Detective. A pleasure to meet you all."

Makoto walked up to Junko and stopped in front of her before looking up. "So… can you inform me of who everyone is?" Junko looked around and sweat-dropped a bit. "Well… I'm Junko. The guy who looks like he's about to explode is Mondo. This is my sister Mukuro and that girl in the corner is Touko… I think. That's all I know."
Makoto nodded as he spoke aloud. "So we got the Programmer, Moral Compass, Writing Prodigy and Clairvoyant. Understood." Junko looked at him confused until he explained. "I knew of what the names and talents are of my new classmates. I just don't know what they look like."
Junko accepted it as they moved on to the next student. He was big and pudgy guy who wore a camo jacket over his uniform shirt. He also had large cargo pants, black boots, a hamster like face, small round glasses, and a dog tag around his neck. The pudgy boy saluted the two. "Pleasure to meet you both. Hifumi Yamada, Sergeant First Class." Makoto nodded as Junko looked confused. "I see… pleasure to meet you Ultimate Soldier."

To say she was shocked was an understatement. Now, she normally didn't judge… but come on! He seemed to be stretching out his cargo pants for god sake. Makoto however, looked at the boy impressed. "I heard you've never taken a wound and are extremely loyal." "Correct." "I see. Pleasure to meet you Yamada."
As she recovered, she followed Makoto to a dyed red-haired boy. He seemed have a black and gold jacket over a t-shirt… that said 'T-Shirt'… as well as baggy beige pants. The boy also wore a pair of sandals while he grinned. "Ha-ha! I'm all fired up! I am 'The Akai Kaze' but you have permission to call me by my non-screen name. Leon Kuwata! The Ultimate Fanfic Creator!"

Junko looked at him with concern while Makoto simply nodded. "I've heard of you. The only man who turned fanfiction into real fiction. Understandable. Pleasure to meet you Kaze." Junko was shocked that Makoto even called him his screen name before she noticed that Mukuro glared at Leon. Well, Mukuro had complained once that someone turned one of her books upside-down with a fanfiction… Oh… Oh…
Junko placed that in the back of her mind at that moment as she moved on to a… short girl? The girl had brown hair and brownish eyes. However, she seemed to have a scowl. She wore a what seemed like a biker jacket, wrappings on her chest, jeans with rips and a chain around her neck. Her knuckles were also wrapped.
"I know that fucking look… I am a man bitch! Chihiro Fujisaki! The Ultimate Biker Gang Leader!"

… is not responding. Error 404. While she tried to understand this, Makoto nodded. "I see. The youngest gang leader in history. You lead the Black Pythons correct?" Chihiro seemed to gain a cocky smirk as he turned to Makoto. "Glad someone knows about the best." Makoto nodded. "Yes, while a street gang, you surprising haven't caused any need for police. It's a pleasure to meet you Fujisaki."
After that episode with Junko, the two moved onto the next person which was a lavender haired girl. She wore a purple hoodie, grey sweatpants, red sneakers and… that was it. Makoto looked at her confused. "Who may you be?" The girl shyed away a little before she spoke. "K-Kyoko Kirigiri…" To Junko's shock, Makoto looked more stumped. "I… don't think I actually know you." Kyoko rubbed her arm while she looked with a weak smile. "Yeah… I'm kind of the… Ultimate Lucky Student." Makoto's eyes popped in realization at those words. "Ah right. There's a lottery every year for a Lucky Student."

Junko while calm on the outside, cheered on the inside. Another normal person! "Pleasure to meet you Kyoko!" "A pleasure Kirigiri." Kyoko nodded as the two moved onto the next person. The guys seemed slightly older as he had large dreadlocks reaching his mid-back. He wore a yellow long sleeve dress shirt, a black striped tuxedo vest, a silver tie, a pair of black dress pants, black dress shoes, and a pair of reading glasses on his face. He had a slight stubble that seemed to give him an aura of maturity.
"Ah, pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Yasuhiro Hagakure, the Ultimate Gambler. If you wish to play a friendly game, then that's fine."

Junko seemed to find the man very relaxed for the situation. He smiled compared to everyone else who seemed to be on edge. "If I had to make a bet, you're wondering why I'm calm. Correct?" Junko looked shocked before she nodded. Makoto seemed to rub his chin before he nodded with his eyes closed. "I see… you're known to be the "Calm King" in the gambling rings. The man who could read everyone to a T around 30% of the time." Yasuhiro laughed while he nodded. "That's right. Even then, I'm usually right even if it's not the 30% percent. I'm just not always sure about some people."
Junko watched as the two calm collected men talked. However, she gathered an understanding. He gets 30% of the people he reads 100% correct. The rest is just 0%... it varies. '…Scary…' As the said their short goodbyes to Yasuhiro, they moved onto a girl running into them with so much energy. "Hiya! I'm Aoi Asahina! The Ultimate Baseball Star! Pleasure to meet you!"

Junko looked at her appearance. The girl had brown hair in a ponytail and chocolaty skin. She wore a basic baseball uniform with red stripes down the side of the arms and legs. She wore red baseball shoes and a red baseball cap. However, Junko looked down at one spot before she crossed her arms. '… That is so unfair…'
Makoto seemed to be deep in thought before he opened his eyes. "Now I remember. You're the first woman to enter the male league. People say you're gonna be the first female to rise to the top of the major leagues." Aoi nodded with energy. "Yep yep! When you hear Aoi Asahina, you'll remember the girl who made history!"
As the girl rushed off, another girl walked up to the two. She was extremely muscular with scars, tanned skin and wild white hair. However, her outfit seemed very counteractive. She wore a mixture of a sky-blue business dress along with blue earrings. Along with blue high heels, she looked down at the two of them with a kind smile. "Greetings. I am Sakura Oogami, Heiress to the Oogami Corporation and the Ultimate Heiress."

Makoto hummed as Junko tired to figure out how a girl could be two completely appearances at once. "I see. You're the Heiress to the Oogami Corporation. If I remember, they are the leading company in medicine correct?" Sakura nodded. "Correct. You seem very knowledgeable." Makoto nodded. "A detective needs to be. It's been a pleasure Oogami."
As Junko moved on, the next person almost made her burst in laughter. The boy wore a pink jacket with a pair of skinny jeans, fashionable pink dress shoes, a gold shirt underneath the jacket and an earring that looked like a mic in his right ear. He had spiky black hair with gold streaks, red eyes, a shiny gold glove on his right hand and a gold felt fedora on his head. "Hello! I am KIYOTAKA ISHIMARU~ The Ultimate Pop Sensation!"

To prove his point, he sung his name and struck a pose. Junko would have laughed if his singing voice wasn't so damn good! Makoto pondered before he realized. "Now I remember where I heard that voice. My sister is a huge fan." "Ah, I always love fans! What's here favorite song?" "If I remember… Fallen Grace." Kiyotaka gained a somber yet happy expression. "Ah, that one. That was one of my most impactful. If I get to meet her, I'll give her an autograph."
Makoto nodded as he moved one while Junko followed. However, she stopped as they noticed the next student. It was a girl with what seemed to flawless natural blue hair. Her skin had no blemishes while her face seemed to scream cute, sexy, and beautiful all at once. She wore an orange and blue sailor uniform while she walked on orange high heels. Junko's mind was literally screaming in jealousy as this girl seemed perfect in looks!
"Hello. I am Sayaka Maizono, the Ultimate Fashionista." She then smiled a smile so bright that Junko had to cover her eyes. What is this girl!?

Makoto stepped forward as he pocketed sunglasses… 'Really!? He had those?'. "If I remember correctly, you're known as… what was the title again." Sayaka smiled bashfully. "The Most Beautiful Teenager in the World… Yeah. I'm still embarrassed of that title." Junko held back a groan as she watched this girl. Stunning, literally makes her outfit work… humble!? How is she becoming the 'Perfect Girl' so easily?
She then noticed Makoto walked as she was about to follow. However, Sayaka's words stop her. "Don't worry. It's fine to be jealous of perfection." Junko turned back to see that Sayaka had a cocky smirk. "After all, I'm perfect. And you… well…" Sayaka chuckled. "Where do I start? You may be pretty but that's it. Nothing more like someone like me."
As Sayaka walked off and Junko moved to follow Makoto, a thought entered her head. 'Ok. I have a reason to hate her. Perfect.'
The two moved on to a guy with blond hair. He had a pair of glasses on while he wore a simple white and brown uniform. However, they could see what looked like a wetsuit underneath. The guy looked at them before he scoffed. "Who are you two Plankton?" Junko glared and mumbled. "I could as you the same." The boy then snarled at Junko. "Unlike you two, I'm a shark. Not a pathetic plankton like you. And for the record, the name is Byakuya Togami. The Ultimate Swimmer." And with that, he walked off.

Junko groaned as she now had two arrogant people. Makoto said nothing before he pulled out a notepad and wrong down in it. Junko looked confused before she let it slide as 'detective stuff.' The two then moved onto the final person. To her shock, it was the reverse of Sakura. The girl seemed to have a pale complexion that gave her a doll like feel. Her black hair in two twin-tails and red eyes combined with it to confuse Junko. Because… the girl was wearing a martial art karate Gi. Her belt was a black belt while she was barefoot. The girl seemed to be doing martial arts. As the two got closer, the black-haired girl turned and bowed. "Hello. I am Celestia Ludenburg. The Ultimate Martial Artist."

However, Junko was confused. She seemed to be Asian, yet her name seemed European. It seemed like Celestia was trying to lie… but before she could ask, a sound occurred as a monitor nearby turned onto static.
"Testing… Testing… One Two, the cow went boom. Ah! We're on. Hello students! I hope you got introduced to each other because I need all of you to head on over to the gym for opening ceremony! See ya bastards soon~!"

Junko didn't understand why she was afraid at that moment… but soon she would discover…

Hey guys! Paeon Kanetsu hear! And this is technically Chapter 0 but also the real Chapter 1! Now firstly… Here's a list of ideas of what I was thinking of appearances for each student.
Junko – Mix of her normal outfit, buttoned up, with normal Makoto and normal Chihiro's colours.
Mondo – Mix of his normal outfit and normal Kiyotaka.
Mukuro – A greyer and duller version of Touko's normal outfit.
Touko – Literally a mix between a schoolgirl and shrine maiden as stated.
Makoto – A stereotypical detective with the fedora, trench coat and fancy clothes.
Hifumi – Army outfit mixed with his normal self
Leon – Natsu. Just… Natsu Dragneel. He's a nerd so he dresses like a character he knows. Plus Izuku Midoriya's 'T-Shirt' tee-shirt.
Chihiro – This was more of a thug/biker/delinquent look with some Mondo aspects?
Kyoko – An everyday girl with comfy clothes. Simple as that.
Yasuhiro – A dealer at a casino with his colour scheme and hair from DR3. (My most personal favourite)
Aoi – A basic baseball uniform. Didn't have much for this one.
Sakura – Her normal body, a businesswoman outfit and a fancy gathering dress mixed.
Kiyotaka – Gold plus Sayaka's pop idol colours plus Michael Jackson
Sayaka – Her normal outfit but with orange instead of white. Going for Complementary colours.
Byakuya – Not much except a high school student who always wears a wetsuit underneath.
Celestia – A Karate Gi. That's it.
