It was strange feeling, Danny's shoulders slumped in exhaustion.

Wondering thru the dimension of the dead certainly brought a recomforting feeling to Danny, he felt some of his energy returned with all the ectoplasm-based surroundings.

The first thing the halfa had realized when he entered the Ghost Zone was the fact it was warm…He didn't really knew how to explain it, but having a cold core, Danny was recently unfamiliar with anything related to heat.

Danny glanced backwards and sighed. He sort of missed them, although being betrayed would leave a scar, it was hard saying goodbye to who had been his friends for like ever and all he known in his life too.

Danny simply couldn't go back.

But where to start again? It wasn't like someone would actually miss him.

Danny closed his eyes for a second, his fists clenched on misplaced anger. All he wanted was to sleep, let all his worries drift away in slumber.

Instead, his eyes wandered at the direction he was going, he sniffed. It was at least two hours to make it to place he wanted without the Spector Speeder.

He wasn't so sure he would make it there in one piece.

From what he gather from around, he was somewhat in the North of the Ghost Zone, near some ghost lairs.

The halfa groaned, Great. More ghosts meant more trouble.

"Well, if it isn't the freaky boy with ghost powers." He heard a voice behind.

Indeed. Trouble.

Danny moved uncomfortably in his bed-Wait bed?

His eyes stir focusing on the dimming light that lit up the room, Danny took a glanced at himself, he sighed when he realized the events hadn't been a dream.

Danny made a pain gesture as he moved himself in a comfortable position, not to say his whole body was sore, at least his healing factor was already kicking in. He flinched as he sat, running a hand in his bruises, there was the burn from that weird ectoplasm-like substance and some claw marks.

He sighed, just taking to a moment to rest, until it hit him-

This wasn't room. Danny instantly became alerted, now that he thought of it, this wasn't a place he recognized at all. "Well well,"

But it was a voice he recognized. "Skulker." Danny turned to greet the Ghost hunter with menacing green eyes.

Skulker grinned in return. "Hello whelp."

Ignoring the pain, (He was pretty used to it already.) Danny clenched his fists ready on a fighting stance. "What do you want, Skulker? Where am I?" The halfa asked cautiously, narrowing his eyes suspiciously at the ghost.

Skulker only laughed in reply, "The only thing I did was founding you on a weakened state in all, floating absently thru out the ghost zone."

"Oh yeah? That's all? No evil scheme behind this?" He crossed his arms, an unamused look on the halfa's face, "Somehow, I don't believe that."

"It's not my problem if you don't believe me," The metallic ghost smirked, "Now, onto the thing I been waiting until you wake up. The hunt." Skulker raised a gun, expecting the halfa to put a good fight like he always did, instead the little whelp just let himself fall in a near chair, his eyes down.

Skulker pouted, lowering his weapon, he raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you going to run?"

"What's the point? I'm helpless on… what I can only imagine is the inside of your lair, I'm too weak to transform and I have nowhere nor no one to go." His voice was low with a slight broken tone, "Better finish the work that damn portal couldn't." Danny kicked the floor in anger.

Skulker was slightly worried -Not that he would admit that outloud.-, he didn't like when a prey surrender, there was no fun on that. However, he did have a story with the younger halfa. So, he did something that even surprise himself, he sat next to the ghost child.

He sighed, "Would you mind, telling me what happen?"

Danny's eyes widen slightly as he looked over the ghost that wanted his pelt and often terrorize his -No, it was never his town. It was only Amity Park. "Why, pray tell, you, of all people, want to know?"

"I'm curious." Was the only response.

I have nothing to lose. Danny thought as he took a deep breath, avoiding looking at the metal ghost, "I-I-…Them." Danny sighed, letting his legs unto his chest as he buried his head into his knees.

He tried to talk, but he felt a knot on his throat that kept him from making words, "I…I-I" The full-ghost raised an eyebrow, but Skulker really do seemed like listening...

His shoulders slumbered fell down. He breathed slightly, "They betrayed me." Having no word from Skulker, Danny continued. "It- It started weeks ago. We didn't get out often… and I just thought they were having a rough time, but it was weird you know?" He closed his eyes briefly, "We talked about everything together. Then, they started making excuses and it appeared they were always busy. I- " A tear slipped out of Danny's eyes, he clenched his fists. "I am so stupid! I never figure out my so-called best friends were traitors!"

"Traitors." He repeated as if the word was finally sinking in.

He wiped his watery eyes, suppressing a sob. He didn't care any more he looked weak and vulnerable. "B-Behind my back, They gave my secret, my ecto-signature, my life to that God Damned Guys In White!"

Skulker was taken back for a second, "The Guys In White?"

Danny nodded slightly, sighing as he buried his head on his hands. "I'm sorry, the Guys In White are terrible humans, they even cause more damage than ghost ourselves."

"It's like they have an own personal vengeta against us." Danny added.

"So, you say those humans friends of yours betrayed you?" Danny flinched, but nodded.

"Then, that is not tolerated." Danny looked up to Skulker in confusion, "They had a code with you and they broke it."

"What?"

"Look, Danny…" Wow, it was weird calling him by his first name, "What I am saying is the three had some sort of …How to put it…bond. It's like a code of honor we hunters have, you humans call it friendship or some nonsense like that; You promised that you'll have their back and they'll have yours."

"Ohhh, Oh."

"And if someone brakes it, it is punished as high treason with their lives." Skulker eyed a new blade 2 meters long and his hunting equipment, but Danny stood mid-step to stop the older ghost.

"Woo, there buddy! Humans don't kill when a friendship is broken." Skulker quirked an eyebrow at the halfa, "Really? There no fun on that."

Danny sighed, "We really need to discuss your meaning of fun."

"Whelp," Danny turned to face Skulker, who had an unreadable expression on his face, "And…do your parents know?"

The teen shook his head, "For all I know, they don't now I'm Phantom. But the most probable thing is those Jerks in White told them." He gulped, "Maybe they're already planning on how to dissect me right now."

"I'll hunt them down if you like…"

"As much as I appreciate the offer, I need to…um…you' know.. keep…going- Who am I kidding! He would never say yes!" Danny let a scream of frustration as he swung his arms.

He blew some strip of hair that had fallen in his face, "I'm really stupid."

"Eh, A little." Skulker smirked, "Who would never say yes?"

"No one, forget it. It was stupid."

"It is an insult to me that you call yourself stupid."

Danny gave him an innocent look, "What? I do have tell you a lot that even the stupidest of all can beat you."

"You do know I can capture you anytime, right?" Skulker said, amused. Raising a small, but threating handgun at Danny's level eye. "Yeah, but you haven't which makes me think you like me." Danny replied, crossed arm with a playful smile.

Skulker huffed, retreating the gun. "In your dreams. You know… you are the most amusing prey I have ever had."

"Um...Thanks?" Danny chuckled; He couldn't believe it. He was actually having a good time with Skulker. Danny then, leaned over the wall with one arm stretched.

Danny retreated almost immediately, he rubbed his forearm and stared at the burn. It was probably a second degree burn and it sure hurt, he grimaced at the touch. "Maybe, I can ask Frostbite to check it?" He whispered more to himself than anything.

"Frostbite?" Skulker asked as he approached the child, "You mean the yeti ghost that roams in the frozen lands? Hmm, didn't thought you knew him."

Danny did his best to glare, "I know more people than you know."

Skulker rolled his eyes, "Good for you." He turned to some treasure-like chest and dig on it searching for something, "Here," The metal ghost handed some bandage to what he consider to be his former enemy, "You do know how to bandage yourself, right? It would be really awkward if I-"

Danny held up a hand, his eyes widen "No! No, I do know how to bandage myself," He smiled, "Thanks." The teenager directed his attention on the burn and started bandaging.

Skulker nodded and went to the bed, arranging the blankets and mattress. He even fluffed the pillow, "So, that you can sleep comfortable." Danny only stared in confusion, "What? Before you go with your friend, you obviously need to rest. I mean look at you!"

Danny shifted uncomfortably, "Thanks for the hospitality, Skulker. It's a lot coming from you, but I can fly and use my powers like this, I had worst." The only response was Skulker giving him a threating look as the ghost crossed his arms, "It's the bed or me shooting a tranquilizer dart."

The boy raised his hands and walked to the bed, "Okay okay, you win." He smirked, "Which is only because I let you. I mean I do always win our fights,"

Skulker grinned, "I'm going for some tape now."

Danny glanced at him, frowning, "For what?"

"To place it on your mouth." Danny's lips made a 'o' shape, before the silence for a few second and the laughter later.

Skulker was already passed the doorway to actually go look for something (Not the tape :3), when the child shouted: "Wait!"

The flaming hair ghost turned to look at Danny, which oddly to the older hunter, was standing there with gratefulness and the light that had lit in wonder in his eyes return. "Thanks. For everything."

Much to everyone in the room's surprise, Skulker did not grinned, instead a genuine smile spread into his lips.

And Danny could not help but to return the smile.

Me: Aww! Who ever said ghosts have a core and not a heart boom!

Danny: Ghost do not have hearts.

Me: And here I thought I was the pessimist, *Turns to Danny and smacks him on the head* It's a metaphor!

Danny: *Rubs back of head* Okay okay. I do have a heart you know!

Me: Yeah, but you're half alive so it doesn't count. :3

Danny: *Glares at Me* Whatever.

Me: Okay, *sigh* I'm trying to upload this as quickly as I can, but remember I have a life! I need to do… stuff.

Danny: Of course, *Snorts* Stuff like doing your homework, instead of this.

Me: …

Danny: /(^u^)/

Question to be questionified:

Who would never say yes? -Skulker.

On the next chapters:

Clockwork looked at Daniel with sadness, even when he wasn't a spirit who commonly showed emotions. The boy had been into hell and back into his entire his existence.

"You're believed dead." The Time Master said blankly.

Danny's head snapped in Clockwork's direction. "What?"
