Chapter 2: Memories shattered
A few hours passed since the group learned of their upcoming s rank mission. Once receiving additional details from their guild master the group headed out to their destination. Elsewhere on the other side of the border of fiore is the kingdom bosco pouring down rain. Bosco used to be a weak kingdom as it was only used as the battleground of its neighboring countries but is now a strong kingdom thanks to their now king kaizu. The land is silent with a few town people occupying the streets wearing worn out and torn covers over them since recovering from years of warfare. Occupying the center of the land is the now royal family castle that is surrounded by military officers. Inside the palace is a room with a round table position in the center of it with five people sitting around it. Their appearances were masked due to the lack of light in the room since the only source of light is that of a candle. One of the five cleared it's throat before speaking out.
"Why have you called us here king of bosco? We do have our own issues to handle then being called upon like a bunch of sidekicks." Stated sturnly by a female talker.
Wild laughter erupted from one of the many participants. A low but powerful grunt could be heard making whoever stop their laughing with troubles as small snickers could still be heard.
"Be it as it may i agree with her. What reason did you have summoning us?" Followed a low male voice.
An sinister laugh followed the question. "Well my friends." Started an amused deep male voice still letting off an sinister chuckle. "I just thought i should let you know we finally found the witch."
The group sat in silent until being broken by the loud crashing sound of thunder. The light of such filled the room revealing a dark shaggy haired male with a wide malicious grin. The light diminished leaving the room once again in darkness. Meanwhile back with team natsu now with wendy and carla the group stood by a pier looking towards an island full of buildings and at the very top is a fortress.
"The item that we're looking for is in that fortress." Lucy explained with a confident smile.
Grey looked over at her with a smile seeing her excitement.
""Someone's excited for what's to come." He says amused with his own small grin.
Nodding and pumping her arm she smile grew more.
"Well of course i am. These past missions have been a snap. At least i know this is going to be a piece of cake." She replied back.
"Be it as it may we should still proceed with caution. The whole land is filled with goons trying to protect the relic that we seek." Erza explained as she stepped up.
"Don't over exert wendy." Carla says in a worried tone s she flys around wendy.
Puffing her cheeks she showed her battle face. "I know carla. Don't be such a worrywart." She replied.
"Whatever! Bring them on! You ready to kick bad guys ass happy!" Natsu shouted excited punching his fist into his hand with a wide grin.
"Aye sir!"
Not caring if the others were ready natsu and happy as always charged into the town instantly running into trouble. The two halted at the appearance of the goons who looked at them sinesterly. The one in the front revealed a small grin with a deep chuckle.
"We knew you bastards were on the way. So trust and believe this island will where you fairy punks die. GET HIM BOYS!"He explained before commanding.
Following the command the men that stood around the leader of the pack rushed towards natsu. Seeing them rush towards him natsu holds his grin as he pulls back his right arm clenching his hand into a fist that instantly ignited.
"You idiots, Do you not know who you're dealing with?" Natsu started.
Getting closer he swung his fist towards the group releasing a wave of flames with an explosion following right behind with dust filling the air.
"WE'RE FAIRY TAIL WIZARDS!" He shouts ecstatic.
The goons yelled in pain from the attack as they are pushed back being blown away. The blast caught the attention of the others as they see the cloud come out the alleyway. Not far from the explosion running on rooftop buildings is erza slashing and hacking her way through all that stood in her way. A group now stood in her way but she did not stop. Instead she revealed a small grin as her body is coated in a blinding bright light. Still bathed in the light multiple swords appeared around her before zipping towards the threat slashing them up. The light fades showing erza now wearing a Plated armor that covers her chest, with a large metal flower over it, and she wears a large billowing skirt that has metal plating in the upper area. Her stomach and neck are uncovered, and she has large metal wings that appear to be made of individual blades, as well as a wing-like headpiece.
"I see no reason why natsu should have all the fun." She says with a smile before flying onwards.
Trailing behind is lucy and wendy running through the road only to stop in an open road only to be surrounded by multiple enemies. Chuckling can be heard within the group which made lucy look at them with disgust and wendy looking cautiously.
"Well well well. It looks like our lucky day boys. The boss says kill them but i don't think he'll' mind if we keep some pets." Shouted out pervy outside the group.
Lucy got her composure from the comment and got serious.
"Here they come, wendy." She warned low.
Nodding to hearing her words the group rushed at the two. Aiming towards wendy first one swung his sword towards her head. Ducking down she avoided being decapitated and quickly going for her counter. Lunging at him she dug her elbow into his gut using her ability to manipulate wind help her to increase her destructive force. The attack instantly cause the thug to faint causing the others to stop in shock for a second before charging back in. The second wasn't in vain since wendy used the second to scoop her area to prepare her next attack. Pushing herself of the fallen thug body she flipped in mid-air and land hard into the face of another. Using the male face as a platform she pushed herself into the air to sail over the group on the left side. As she sailed over the group she sucked in the air around her as it stuff her mouth.
"SKY DRAGON's…..-" She thinks as she continued charging. "-...ROAR!""
Shouting her last word in her head she released an destructive hurricane-like blast at them. Hitting its target the move causes a powerful impact making the group to fly away. On the other side of the street is lucy facing her group of thugs. Grabbing her whip she whip it towards the air of one of her pursuers. Yanking hard and using the momentum of her enemy she spun him in the air and slam him into his companions. She then jump high to avoid being grab from behind. Looking down at her opponent holding down her skirt she sees the grabber's hand was aiming for a different target. Her skin shivered with such force before grabbing herself protectively.
"JUST WHERE WERE YOU GRABBING!" She asked!
Using her whip she caught the side of a building and used it to toss her on the roof. Being alone she quickly pull out a key.
"Gate of the Archer, I open thee! Sagittarius". She shouts.
A symbol of an arrow appeared in front of her as an horse top costume male appears in his underwear. He holds an bow in one hand as he salute with the other.
"I'm here, lucy~moshi moshi." He says obinently.
"Let's do it sagittarius!" She command.
"Yes~moshi!"
Holding her key to her chest a small grin appears as her clothes and hair shine brightly. "Star Dress-"
The light fading away she is now dressed in the clothes of her sagittarius outfit. She is also now holding a bow in replacement of her whip.
"-Sagittarius form!" She finished.
Not taking time embracing her form she looked over the roof top to see her enemies climbing up the side of the building. Pointing her bow towards the goons she charged up her energy as she pulled back the bow string.
"Star Shot!" She shouts out before releasing an ray of arrows at the gang of foes. At impact the arrows exploded causing them to fly off in different directions.
Next door grey is running through the town dodging arrows shot at him as he lose his clothes. Hearing them yelling and shouting he smirked before looking back at his foes with a smirk as he placed his right fist on his left palm. The air around his hands quickly drop in temperature as the air becomes an icy mist.
"You guys are annoying…. ICE MAKE-" Thrusting his arms creating a bow following his companions lead he shot arrows which are subsequently shot at high speed towards his enemies. "-ARROWS!" He shouted out.
Time passes and the sun soon drops behind the ocean the group finally reached the fortress doors. Stepping up towards the door natsu place his hand on the door and released an burst of flames to knock down the doors. They walked inside to see the room filled with treasure with some obviously coming from different parts of the world. Erza reverting back to her original armor step up out the group with a serious face.
"Split up and search for the staff. Once we locate it we will leave quickly." She says with determination.
Listening to her everyone took their own direction and searched for what they were asked to retrieve. As she looked lucy stops and slowly turns her sights on a closed door. The door didn't look but she still found herself gravitating towards the room. Opening the door she is faced with the usual dark room with the item they were looking for in the center of the room cliche and like everyone else she walks in with no hesitation. A smile grew on her face as she Inched closer towards the item.
"Hey, you guys! I found it!" She called out.
Now having it in her grasp the team quickly went towards the exit. All was clear until a mysterious dark figure crash through the ceiling window and land between the group and the team. The figure wears a black skin tight bodysuit with a sword holster on it's back and a mask covering its face. Going off the figure build they could tell it was a lean muscular male with the only features being known about his real appearance is his spiky black hair. Pulling lucy back natsu guarded her noticing the male figure setting his gaze towards her. Not much of a talker natsu smiled and rushed it towards the male.
"I don't know who you are! But get out of our way!" He shouts as he sends a fame infused right hook at the new fighter.
The attack connects making flames consume the foe. A smile forms on natsu face but it is quickly washed away as he sees the fighter standing their with his hand over natsu fist showing he blocked off the attack. Natsu looked confused and surprised at that.
"To slow." Says the male low.
Pushing out natsu arm the man caused him to lose his balance before thrusting out a straight kick towards his stomach. The attack hit home as natsu sails back into grey. Erza quickly turns into her previous armory readying her blades.
"You four get out of here. I'll hold this person here." She demand.
The black suited fighter raised his hands which stop erza as he shouted out for order.
"Whoa whoa whoa. Easy now. I'm just here for the staff that your big boobed blonde bimbo have." He explained while pointing at lucy.
"I AM NOT A BIMBO!" Lucy shouted out in rage.
"He described you perfectly huh lucy?" Happy questioned hiding his smile.
"WHAT YOU SAY YOU DUMB CAT!" She shouted again.
Ignoring her weird conversation with happy grey is the one who step up now with his serious glare aimed at their enemy.
"Whatever the reason may be. There is no way we going to let you get to the staff." He explained.
The male shakes his head. "I wasn't expecting you to. I just figured i'll ask first before i take it." He replied.
Revealing his hands he has two pins to two light grenades now in them. Tossing them they are succumbed to the blinding light. The team shielded their eyes but not in time as they are blinded by the light. Unfaded by the addinal light, the male swiftly maneuvered his way towards lucy to take the weapon. The pursuer quickly stops and sends a swift jab to his left side to be in collision of an attack by natsu. The two stood in an stalemate which was easily broken with natsu putting out more strength in the end. The fighter jump back to create space with his surprised to see natsu already on him sending an onslaught of attacks. The male managed to block them but not as smooth as he had wished.
"How is it that you know where i am?" He asked curiously.
Letting out a small chuckle flames covered natsu. "I'm a dragon slayer pal. Even without my sight my other senses are enhanced. That includes my sense of smell and hearing. You're mine! Fire Dragon's…..- " His cheeks expanded before releasing a wall of flames at the mysterious person. " -...-ROAR!"
Not having time to block off the attack the figure blocked off the attack as the move made the inside of the fortress to explode. The inside now clearing up showed the group to be alone with their avisary now gone. Natsu stood in place proud of himself as he rub under his nose.
"That's how you handle that. What you think happy?"
"Great work natsu!" He replies to his friends question.
Lucky rolled her eyes before taking a step forward only to stop to see the tip of the staff began to glow brightly and lucy couldn't seem to get her hands off it. Adding on to the strange events a symbol of an flower appeared underneath her feet. This caused her to panic. Seeing the events happen the team looks to see lucy look at them with eyes of concern.
"Umm guys, A little help here."
Once pleading for help her eyes went lifeless as she began to float in place. Natsu of course was the first to step up but is stopped by an invisible wall blocking off his path. To his surprise the wall was able to absorb the sheer force of his destructive attacks.
"LUCY!" LUCY LISTEN TO MY VOICE!" He begged out to her but with no answer.
The others made attempts to break whatever was blocking their path with no prevail. Lucy floated there staring at them with her lifeless eyes. Her back began to shine bright as two wings formed from the magical energy flowing out the staff. The team looks surprised at this as she is then wrap in them leaving the others in awe. Meanwhile back in the kingdom of bosco the king still holds his meeting with the still unidentified group of members.
"What do you mean you found the witch? Where?" Questioned the same female voice in urgency.
"Precisely what i said my dear queen. Soon the key to travel between reality will be a gift on to us. Once the feathers appears that's the key to the beginning of the end. Just like "He" Said." Answered the king with amusement.
Back with team natsu they continue to force a way out of their confinement until seeing lucy be absorb in the blinding light. Not wanting to lose one of his companions natsu mustered up as much strength as he could call upon and his right fist burst in flames.
"Fire Dragon's…..-" He thrust his fist into the wall and his flames ram into the wall with no effect until shattering the wall to pieces. "...IRON CLAW!" He finishes before bursting into a full sprint to save his friend. "LUCY!"
Grabbing her thousands of feathers burst out of her body leaving natsu to his building around them began to crumble apart. Not paying attention to the destruction natsu kept his attention on lucy. Only to feel her body temperature drop and not get any response.
"Lucy!" He called out.
End of chapter two. Each chapter may be longer or shorter than the last depending on how much i want to put in the chapter. Umm leave some reviews if you have anything to say. I'm always opened for thoughts.
