You may not know this, but they – the humans – are killing again. Mutants. I'm assuming a steady stream of these children have been coming through the doors, as that's what Charles asked me to do. Recruit.
Why couldn't I tell you? If they found me, I wanted to make sure you were completely innocent of any involvement. Charles, he was willing to put his life at risk, as was I. But I wasn't willing to risk you.
I love you with all my heart. I cannot bare to lose you. If you lose me, I know Charles will look after you. Charles is my best friend, my confidant, as you are, but he has powerful friends. He can keep you safe – as I could not.
As it turns out, he doesn't have to. I'm back, now, y/n. And I'm back for good. Our child will be raised with two loving parents – that is, if you'll take me once again as your fiancé.
