Chapter one: day one

"Hurry guys, school awaits" a girl said to two boys who were accompanying her, the trio began in the car park; The girl was petite and much more colorful then her friends donning a long dusty pink sweater and skinny light grey jeans; Her light blonde hair whipped around her as she walked down the street towards the school with a smile. "Better catch up, Victor" the taller one said side glancing towards his friend; The boy who spoke had an intimidating look about him, wearing dark grey jeans and a big black plain hoodie to hide his face, underneath the hood hid is dark brown hair, styled to spike up a little at the top. He was getting out the drivers seat of the black Sudan, through the hoodie he appeared cold, bored and detached.
Victor was also tall, he's an average guy, his clothes consisted of blue jeans and a white shirt, his face was average, his own light brown hair styled short and spiked, he jumped out of the backseat.

Victor just looked at his friend with a sigh and made a move to catch up with the girl, "Nora wait up!" he called after her, his accent hinting to a German background, he picked up his pace to meet her. The other boy remained closely behind them the whole way.
"God another year" stated Victor after they had finally entered the building, the place was buzzing with movement and activity; Victor casually put his arm around Nora's shoulders walking on the left of her down the corridor and finding their lockers, their individual locker numbers being sent out before the school year began.
"Just think Victor, three years left and we were able to talk the anti-social one into joining us!" Nora turned her head a bit to the right to smile at their shadow, who just smiled back in response.

"So this is it?" 'Anti-social,' remarked as the three entered the classroom 104 which only had so few people in it so early. This was homeroom for the trio, they would have to be here twice a day everyday to start and end for the rest of the year, how droll.
The room was set up, five single desks across in lines of four in the classroom.
Nora took a seat in the front row closest to the window and Victor took the seat behind her. The shadow opted to sitting in the back corner closest to the window being a spare seat between himself and Victor, setting himself to be alone and maybe get some rest before they had to start.

There were 20 desks to be taken in this classroom though the class did not appear to be even half that big, soon 11 spots had been taken;
Next to Nora in the front row sat a girl with messy red hair, she had small sleek green glasses on to hide her freckled face, she wore a long dark green skirt and a white blouse, she was listening to Nora talk about her holidays, beside Victor sat a girl with brown hair she had a smile on her face as she conversed with another girl who sat in the center of the second row, she was laughing with the brunet, she had blond curly hair, both wore jeans while the brunet wore a gray blouse and the blond wore a dark red shirt with a white jacket.
No one sat in front of the shadow but next to him in the back row sat a blonde haired boy, who looked like an athlete, he wore black jeans, a jersey with the school colours and a white shirt underneath, he too was talking to someone, another boy who had sat next to him, he had short black hair and wore white shorts with a blue sports top on.

On the other side of the room, closest to the door the first desk was free the one behind it had a boy smaller then the others of the room he was wearing colourful but dulled trashy gentlemen attire being trousers, shirt, tie and blazer, he had a book in hand reading with his auburn hair shrouding his face. Behind him was another boy he had one leg over the other and using his arm to lean on the desk, he wore a green shirt and black baggy jeans, he had slim black glasses, and had shaggy dark red hair he spoke animatedly to the boy next to him, who was listening attentively, this boy was quiet pale with ice blue eyes who too wore glasses but these were a dark brown, he had dark brown hair that was not as long as the others but still hid his ears.

A few minutes before the bell was due to go another student walked into the classroom, he had longish dirty blonde hair, he wore skinny purple jeans and a dirty white shirt on; his dark green eyes seemed to scan the room with a feral grin it stopped at the shadow in the far back corner.
Unbeknownst to the boy, purple made a beeline towards his spot, the part of the class near the windows seemed to ignore purple where as the trashy gentlemen had put his book down and the other two boys stopped talking to see what was going on.

"Helllllo, hey so are you new? You look bored, You look like…, hey…" purple continued to chatter away about anything to a point in which the others of the class began to pay attention. The shadow decided to finally look up at the clown as he was talking, his hood still on, the shadow noticed that most of the class was watching this scene. The shadow looked back at purple whom was still somehow chatting away, as friendly as his tone suggested his words were not. The shadow, having decided his opinion of purple, put his head down on the desk again and then spoke "forgive my rudeness; a bit tired, can we talk later, Jack was it?" "Were you ignoring me" Jack's mask dropped a little "don't be rude boy, this is my spot, so move." he said with venom.
Being ignored again Jack quickly lashed out and actually swung his fist towards the boy's head which was effortlessly caught by the seemingly sleeping boy his own strength out matching Jack's, something that was obvious through body size.
"A bit high on your own drama, aren't we Jacky" the shadow remarked raising his head just a little to use the pet name, pissing off the smaller boy a little more.

"Bruce, stop it now, let go of Jack" Nora sternly said appearing before Bruce and Jack. Bruce looked over to Nora who stood in front of his desk now with a angry expression, with a sigh Bruce released Jack's fist "Look Jack I was here first, just sit over there, it's just like this seat just on the opposite side of the room" Bruce pointed towards the other back chair Jack just starred at the boy in the hoodie trying to see his face as to glower him directly in the eye and strike some fear into him.

Before Jack could really retaliate, the homeroom teacher worked her way into the classroom. "Jack, Nora please, find a seat," she said as she was preparing to take first role. Nora went back to her desk, and Jack went to the before suggested desk and sat down seemly calm but side glancing at the new shadow; Bruce put his head back on the table only answering when his first name was called.

As the home room teacher left giving the class time to settle as they would be sharing most of their classes together, the first being English which was in the next five minutes, Jack was about to take this opportunity to get back at Bruce when he saw Victor get up and begin to talk with Bruce, Jack stayed seated deciding to spilt his attentions between Bruce and listening to the two boys in front of him who actually were both paying more attention to Bruce and Victor, while pretending not too.
"Shall we have a quick game?" Victor asked as he pulled up a chair from the empty desk and sat in front of Bruce with a smile "pawn to C4" Bruce responded, though the hood hid his face Victor could see his smile "Pawn to E6" Victor said starring straight at Bruce, "knight to F3" "Pawn to D5" "Pawn to d4" "Really Bruce" Victor asked as Bruce just smiled back while leaning back into his chair, noting that some were watching him again, "knight to F6" "Knight to C3" "Bishop E7" "Think our time is up Victor" Bruce said amused as Victor got up with a smile to head back to his table, "Oh Vicky" Bruce called out earning a glare from said boy "Bishop to G5" he said with a smirk Victor was about to respond when the teacher had chosen to walk in.

"Good morning class, Victor would you like to find your seat?" The teacher began as he made his way over to the front desk. "So another year together again, I knew this class would remain the same like back in middle, except there is a new student!" there was something wrong with this man Bruce had decided he was acting far too flamboyant for one.
"Is that you up the end there, Mr. Wayne?" the teacher asked excitedly over such a well known name now in their class, he asked "Come up and introduce yourself to the family"

Bruce was 'almost' at a lost for words, this teacher was an idiot, that much was easy enough to tell. Aware of the stares that the class was now blatantly sending, not for earlier actions but now for his identity, Bruce decided on standing up and removing his hood as to properly introduce himself to the class and the teacher.
In the friendliest voice he could mange and a fake rich boy smile "Good morning Mr. Garrison, and class as you've heard my name is Bruce, I am excited to be part of the class for the year, I hope to learn about all of you, and I'm sure Mr. Garrison will be an great English teacher" he preformed laying on some of his charm which worked wonders as the teacher was actually sporting a blush and students were silent.

There was a small chuckle from Victor that went unnoticed by the class who all remained silent as Bruce sat back down with a ghost of a smile, there was another short bellow from right next to Bruce.
After the intro Bruce chanced a glance to the side of him to see the blond boy in a jersey. The teacher had shortly after begun his class, which gave the boys a chance to talk.
"Morning Harvey, pretty sure Victor said something about intelligent individuals in this class, what are you doing in here?" Bruce asked the blonde that sat next to him who just stifled another chuckle. "Laid it on a tad thick, wouldn't you say so Mr. Wayne?" "Did the job didn't it?" most of the class were listening to the teacher but there were a few students who knew that the two were talking and were straining to hear.
"So what's with the stand-offish look? Didn't Nora sensor your wardrobe today" Harvey remarked with a smirk. "Yes that, let's not discuss that," Bruce said curtly "and this is not 'stand off' its meant to 'blend in'" "Not with your name Wayne" Harvey said and began laughing again finally attaining the teacher's attention to the fact that some of the class was not listening.

Putting his hand up Bruce had hopes of defending mainly Harvey and himself.
"Yes Mr. Wayne?" Mr. Garrison asked in a very serious way.
"I hope to apologize sir, Mr. Dent and I were speaking about the 'the curious incident of the dog in the night time' we were to read, and how Christopher had a particular way about him Harvey thought that he didn't have any emotion he was just going through his Asperser's where as I believed he did have to some extent emotion whether he could acknowledge it or not was another topic, could you help us, perhaps be a mediator and tell us your thoughts? I know you being our English teacher would know the answer" Bruce once again charming his way around the teacher worked perfectly.

Receiving a glare from Nora, Bruce fought off an actual smile this time.
Before Mr. Garrison could reply to Bruce, feeling oddly good after the praise, his phone had gone off to which he dishonorably excused himself from the class making an excuse that it was important, leaving the class to their own devises.

"That's four glares you managed to get off Nora and all within an hour, you're gonna get in trouble" Harvey's deep voice sung aloud after the teacher had left, Victor and the boy next to Harvey just laughed with Harvey.

"If I'm going down I'm taking you with me Dent" Bruce said, his eyes quickly sweeping the room noting all its occupants for the first time since arriving. "Did you even read the book" Bruce asked looking back at Harvey "apparently I did, and I cared enough to have an opinion, fantastic save by the way, think I'll sit with you more often" Harvey said with a chuckle, "Please don't Harv, it will upset Nora and then somehow I'll have to do something about it" Victor told Harvey in a bored tone.
"Calm down Vicky, I'm not going to be a bad influence" Harvey replied with a smirk knowing the nickname would piss the boy off.

"That's five" commented the boy who sat next to Harvey "wasn't even me" Bruce sighed. "So when were you gonna tell me you were joining our school let alone the class Wayne" The boy asked attention now on Bruce "Well Ethan, I was planning on telling you about 26 minutes ago when the 'very nice and highly intelligent' Mr. Garrison announced my attendance here" Bruce answered him looking boredly at the door, "oh you do remember Ethan? I didn't think you would you only met him the once" Harvey commented pushing his way into the discussion "and what a memorable encounter that was" Victor said while facing the front "Vicky if you're going to contribute, at least move back here" "Harvey, can you refrain from calling me that " Victor replied coolly to Harvey while glaring at him. The teacher had finally finished on the phone and was coming back into the classroom, causing the class to pay attention again.

A student tried to sneak into the classroom being considerably late; he was lean and from first look could be considered an outcast short sleeved shirt over a long sleeved one, short blonde spiked as much as it could. "Not late on the first day Zsasz?" Jack called across the room practically beaming to the weird looking kid, causing the teacher to acknowledge 'Zsasz'.

"Morning Victor nice of you to join us" Mr. Garrison said "you know me sir" he responded awkwardly and sat down in the front chair next to the door. It was then he did the double take at the boy at the back starring at Bruce; he got a wave and half smile back in acknowledgement.

The class just went on as normal or as much as it could, 10 minutes later class ended, the teacher left the room, students slowly packing up their things about to head to the next class. "Darling Bruce, just tell me why, you said you would behave yourself" Nora confronted Bruce who just looked passively back at her while picking up his bag.

"My dearest Nora I thought I was, was my choice of seating the wrong move? Where would you prefer me to sit?" Bruce questioned back sighting Victors glare and sighing "Still at Nora's beck and call? For shame Bruce" Harvey said to Bruce as he to began to leave the classroom "Maybe I'll sit with Rachel for the next class I don't see why Nora would be against that" called Bruce with a smirk and then proceeded to hold eye contact with the blond boy from across the room "I guess if it's to keep the two of you separated then I'm more than happy, besides I want to catch up too I haven't seen you for months" Rachel cut in stepping in between the boys and taking Bruce's hand. Bruce just smirked at Harvey and allowed the brunet to tug him along.

"What class do we have next?" Bruce asked passively to Rachel "didn't memorize the planner Bruce?" Rachel answered back as she lead the two down the school hallway, it was worse this time round as Bruce had forgotten to put his hoodie back on and was now exposed to every stare and could hear every whisper, Bruce watched on dejectedly 'and it begins' "I did, I just didn't think history was this way" Bruce answered back, he might be wrong but this looked like a science area. "Thought we had chem? Wait a minute" Rachel stopped the two of them and checked out her timetable. Bruce felt another set of eyes but they weren't so much trained on him, he really didn't like to be out here too many people; he noticed a guy from his earlier class wearing a trashy gentlemen look, 'Jervis I believe' Bruce thought. It looked as though the boy was making a beeline to Rachel and Bruce but was tripped by what could only be described as a brute.

Jervis landed face first in front of Bruce, his auburn hair shrouded his face as his belongings scattered everywhere; some students could be heard laughing as the bully had picked up one of Jervis' many books.

"Alice in Wonderland? How old are you boy?" "a boy that reads Alice in Wonderland? Thought that was a little girl's bedtime story?" one of his fellow lackey's commented. Bruce remained tolerant of the group through out the whole ordeal and bent down to help Jervis with his stuff, who to slowly sat up, eyes wide at who was now helping him "Are you alright Jervis? That was a harsh fall" Bruce asked as they stood back up, Jervis was a little shocked at Bruce knowing his name whereas Rachel remained quiet not knowing how this was going to play out, 'With Bruce anything is possible' She thought to herself. "Quiet, I try to avoid over-grown apes like them" Composing himself Jervis spoke with very little confidence but unfortunately loud enough to be heard.
"What did you say you little freak?" The ringleader made to grab Jervis but was stopped, and for the second time that morning Jervis saw Bruce stop a fist with ease his fake smile still happily in place, this being more impressive then when he had stopped Jack, as the bully was bigger than Bruce.
"The fuck Wayne, you're not going to defend the little shit are ya?" the brute asked trying to free his hand "May I please have Jervis' book back?" Bruce asked in the most friendly voice he had, Jervis was in shock during these events, now standing back next to Rachel "Fuck you I'm going to rip that shit-ass book to pieces" 'I should probably step in soon' Rachel thought as she prepared to take a step forward, too late though as the bully began howling in pain as Bruce had without difficulty spun the other around and was twisting his arm "Tiny, if your going to speak like a trash I'll treat you as such, now…" Bruce said again nicely as 'Tiny' was now on his knees. "The Book" Bruce spoke with a deep undertone, his voice could chill the devil himself.

One of Tiny's lackeys tossed the book to Jervis, who snatched it and held it to his chest protectively after checking it for damage, and Bruce finally letting him up. "Until next time" Bruce said, smiling again as he then took Rachel by the wrist and lead her away with Jervis, who was following close behind.

Walking back down the hall of lockers and the students who witnessed the scene, continued to watch as the three walked back the way they came; Rachel was embarrassed, Jervis was disheveled over Bruce's actions so many questions he now had; and Bruce who took lead in the middle, escorting the trio back to their class with his head held high smile plastered on his face, as one would expect from the illustrious Bruce Wayne.
