It's been well over a month since my explosive conversation with my brother. After I had told him I'd lost hope he just denied my claim before hanging up. That was the last I've heard from him so far, and here I am about to drive all the way to North Carolina to see him and mom. It was Christmas season, though here in California the only way you would know was the obnoxious amount of Santa's plastered everywhere.

But other than that my car trip across the country was relatively boring. I only stopped to sleep in a motel, and get up to go. The entire trip took me about 2 days of straight driving, but it was well worth it once I finally saw snow about 50 miles from my original home of Burgess. To be truthful I was a bit excited, I mean this was only my second time coming home since my mom and dad divorced about 14 years ago. I was around 4 at the time, and I only started coming up after buying my own car at 16.

Dad never wanted to see mom again, and hell knows I wouldn't even let him if he tried. Anyways, it took me about 30 minutes before the towns buildings came into view and I followed my guide to the small home. My small old home. Bouncing in my seat I parked in the driveway, freshly shoveled, and grabbed my duffle bag. "Mom?" I called as the door opened. I wasn't met with my mother however, rather my brother. Jamie once again had gotten taller, with slight stubble on his chin, the sign of a young adult male. He ran out towards me, skidding to a stop to hug me tightly.

"Sophie! Oh my god it's good to see you! Damn you skinny!" He commented before looking over and making a face as if he was apologizing for cursing.

"I'm not that skinny! You're just fat!" I joked light heartedly, all thoughts about our conversation so long ago gone, looking over as mom came out. "Mom!" I yelled running to her and hugging the woman tightly.

"Oh it's good to see you sweet heart... Jamie get her bag will you? Oh come inside you must be exhausted!" She cooed.

And so the day went till dark, Jamie and I sitting and watching old Christmas Movies with mom, till she got tired heading upstairs. Though it seemed as if Jamie had been waiting for that as he immediately sprung up and stuck a head out the window. "Alright you're good!" He yelled.

I shivered over on the couch from the cold air he was letting in hugging my blanket tighter. "Jamie your letting in all the cold air!"

"Oh it's just Jack!" He stated seeming to watch me expectedly.

"Oh... right...?" I raised a brow. I had the feeling however he was about to once again lecture me on Santa Claus by the way he was leaning forward. "... What...?"
Jamie stared into space for a moment before frowning. "Sophie you... you can't see any of them can you...?"

"Jamie do not start talking about Santa and Jack Frost again!" I groaned standing up and shivering at the sudden cold air from leaving my blanket. "I don't wanna talk about this again!" I grumbled going into the kitchen and grabbing a mug of hot chocolate.

"How can you not believe in them Sophie?! I mean you remember seeing them don't you?!" Jamie asked poking his head up from over the couch.

"I mean I remember having that wild dream about the Easter Bunny but what does that have to do with anything?" I questioned sipping as I once again sat across from him.

"That wasn't a dream Sophie that was all real! That was the Warren! Remember?!"
"Jamie it was a dream!" I exclaimed frowning. He rolled his eyes before pulling out a small stuff rabbit, it worn and slightly dusty, though I knew exactly what it was. "Bunnymund..." I mumbled the toys name as he handed it to me.

"Mom found it in a box of old stuff, you must have left it here."
I nodded petting its soft fur. "I got it for Christmas when I was little and obsessed with rabbits."

Jamie nodded smiling. "Remember? He gave it to you because of the bond you and Bunny shared. You're his favorite after all."

Sighing I nodded hugging the rabbit close, and shutting my eyes as the memory played. "Yeah... I remember it.." I murmured the feeling of a soft warm furry object on my cheek before my eyes opened and I frowned. "I never saw it again after I left..."

"Sophie please... you have to try and believe for them... they need you to see them again..." Jamie whispered softly as I looked down to my lap. "Remember we defeated Pitch Black? How Bunnymund, North, Tooth, Sandy, and Jack saved us all?"
"I..." I shook my head as memories flooded my mind. "I don't remember anything Jamie... I can't... I mean why should I? They're just imaginary figures made to make children happy."

"Oh Sophie... They're as real as you or me... you've just got to believe they're real." He took my hand as I closed my eyes. "Just try..."

"Jamie this is stupid... no one is going to be there when I open my eyes." I mumbled willing myself to believe.

They are real.

They are real.

I believe in them.

I took a deep breath and exhaled before opening my eyes to see...
