Also very important note Kyoyo is Ayumi's nickname for Kyoya. She also refers to him as Kyon and Kyo, just to clarify, very rarely does she call him Kyoya.

Chapter 2: Unwarranted Proposals

Ayumi stood at the entrance of Namimori Middle and looked up at the bright blue sky, placing her hand over her eyes to avoid the sunlight.

'Today's gonna be a great day, I can feel it.' she thought as she smiled to herself.

As she removed her hand from her forehead she noticed the sun wasn't beaming down on her anymore. She looked up, confused at the sudden shade that had hit her.

'What the hell is that…?' she wondered.

A large flying projectile about the size of a person was falling straight towards her. Ayumi stood there, squinting her eyes while trying to get a better look. As the projectile came closer, her eyes slowly began to widen.

'Oh my god, you idiot. You could die. You're too young to die. You haven't even gotten Kyoyo to acknowledge your greatness.' she inwardly panicked. 'Oh shit, oh shit. If god exists, just don't let me get hit by that thing.'

Ayumi ran around, worrying and spastically flapping her arms, rather than moving herself out of danger's way. The projectile crashed onto the ground and stood in front of Ayumi. It raced towards her and grabbed her by the arms.

"MAYUDA AYUMI SENPAI! JOIN MY FAMILY!"

Ayumi froze. A million thoughts were racing through her head, but the only words to escape her lips were "What the fuck."

"Look at Dame Tsuna, he's gotten gutsier. First he asked out Sasagawa and now he's proposing to Mayuda."

The flame on Tsuna's forehead died out and his grip on Ayumi loosened.

"Agh!" Tsuna screamed, realizing he was in public in nothing more than boxer shorts once again. "I-I'm so sorry Ayumi senpai!" he bowed.

"Uhhh…" Ayumi stood there, her mouth gaping open. "I'm gonna go now, Tsuna." she said as she ran into the school as fast as possible.

She walked into her classroom, pulled out her chair, and sat. Her hands gripped her head as she thought about what had just happened.

'What is my life? Why was Tsuna naked? Is this some elaborate joke that everyone but me is in on? And what was the flame on his forehead all about? Oh my god, he said join his family. Does Tsuna want to marry me? I'm not ready for this life. I only met him a few days ago. I mean he's kind of scrawny right now, but he could be pretty hot in the future. Tsuna in the future…...hmmmm….. damn he could be pretty attractive….. maybe I should g-'

"Okay class and now we will begin our lesson."

Ayumi sighed, retrieving her school supplies out of her bag. 'What am I gonna do?'

While Ayumi was struggling with her dilemma, Tsuna was as well.

"Reborn! What did you make me do? Now everyone thinks I'm into Ayumi senpai. What will Kyoko chan think?"

Reborn jumped off the desk, kicking Tsuna in the face.

"Ouch!" Tsuna yelped holding onto his cheek. "This is serious Reborn! What have you gotten me into?"

"Your dying will was what caused you to act like that, now you have to clean up your mess. Get her to join the family."

"That's easier said than done." he muttered

"Did you say something?" Reborn asked, his eyes glinting.

"N-no nothing."

"Ayumi would be a good asset to the family, she can control Hibari."

"She said they were close, but I don't know how believable that is. For Hibari san of all people to have friends especially someone like Ayumi senpai. It sounds strange."

Reborn ignored Tsuna's comment and continued on. "As for Kyoko, unless you plan on confessing to her I think Ayumi would do for a potential suitor, although you'd have some competition."

"That's not funny Reborn…."

As lunchtime came around, Tsuna let out a sigh. Everyone was still talking about his "proposal" to Ayumi.

'This is all Reborn's fault.' Tsuna thought with a frown.

"Juudaime, why does everyone keep staring? Are they trying to pick a fight?" Gokudera asked pulling out his dynamites.

"G-Gokudera kun, it's fine!" he shrieked.

Yamamoto laughed and slapped Gokudera's back. "You're so funny Gokudera."

"Shut up baseball idiot!"

The classroom door slid open, revealing Hibari standing in the doorway. Everyone stared in shock.

"Dame Tsuna's done it now, he's gonna get killed" the students began whispering. "Mayuda Ayumi has connections with Hibari san of course he's done for."

"Herbivore." he said glaring directly at Tsuna. "I'll bite you to death."

"Did you hear, Hibari apparently went to the first years' classroom. It looks like he's gonna beat up one of them."

Ayumi jumped out of her seat, grabbing the boy by his collar. "Wait, what?!" she shrieked. "Which classroom is this? Where is he?"

"Uhhh I think it's 1A."

"Okay, thanks!" Ayumi giggled, releasing his collar and proceeded to run out of the classroom into the halls.

"Mayuda sure is weird, she's always trying to follow around Hibari. You think she stalks him or something?" the boy said smoothing out his collar.

"You think she'd still be alive if she was stalking him?" another student asked with a snort.

"True, but between the two who do you think is scarier?"

"Is that even a question?" the girl scoffed. "Obviously Hibari. Mayuda's a little weird but she's really just a ditz."

"I don't know, sometimes Mayuda has this look in her eyes. And being so involved with someone like Hibari just makes you wonder. Like those rumors about her from earlier….."

"Rumors are rumors for a reason. And that look in her eyes is probably her sleeping with her eyes open." the girl laughed. "You're overthinking things, Mayuda is just an airhead, there's nothing scary about her at all."

'I've been running in the hall for about 5 minutes straight and Kyoyo still hasn't come screaming about how I'm breaking rules. This is worse than I thought.'

Ayumi ran down the hallway and spotted Hibari. She sped up and leaped.

"Kyoyo!" she yelled.

Hibari, without looking, immediately brought up his tonfas to guard. As Ayumi drew closer he dropped his arm to his side and took a single step to his right. Ayumi landed on her toes, directly next to him with a pout on her face.

"Kyo, you always do this whenever I try to jump you." she crossed her arms over her chest. "Can't you just let me have this satisfaction for once."

"Ayumi senpai?" Tsuna questioned upon seeing her arrival.

"Ah, Tsuna! This is good." she walked into the classroom and grabbed the boy's hands into her own. Tsuna's cheeks flushed as this was the first time he had held a girl's hand. "Come on Tsuna, I have a lot of questions to ask you."

She dragged Tsuna towards the door, only to have Hibari standing in her way.

"Kyon, you have to move if you want me to get anything done, you know."

Hibari glared at Tsuna. "The herbivore."

"Yes, yes I know. You must 'bite him to death'." she said attempting to mimic Hibari's voice. "I'll deal with it Kyoyo."

Hibari stood in place, still not moving.

"Kyon." Ayumi smiled a wide grin. "I said I'll deal with him, so please?"

Hibari glared down at the two, while Ayumi reciprocated it with a smile. Seconds later Hibari moved aside and let them pass.

"Thanks Kyo, I'll tell you all about our conversation later my love." she winked at him and skipped away with Tsuna following.

"Uhhh Ayumi senpai, how did you do that?" Tsuna asked looking wary.

"Do what Tsuna?" Ayumi tilted her head to the side in confusion.

"Get Hibari san to do what you want?"

"Oh that, hmmm well I don't know." she said with a small shrug. "I mean if anything he's still mad."

Tsuna turned around to see Hibari viciously glaring at the two and let out a small yelp.

"Oh don't worry about it Tsuna, he'll cool down eventually."

The two found themselves on the rooftop, a light breeze in the air. Ayumi stretched her arms out enjoying the weather.

"This is great, don'tcha think Tsuna?"

"Yeah it's pretty nice."

Ayumi sat down, patting the spot next to her. "Come on, I got a bunch of questions, especially about everything that happened this morning."

"Uh about that…." Tsuna started, slowly trailing off.

"First of what was that all about Tsuna, we've only known each other for a few days and you want to marry me? I mean I'm flattered really, but I'm just a young girl with so much to live for."

"Uh senpai I think you're misunderstanding."

Ayumi laughed. "Yeah I figured, but what's this family thing about?"

"I think I can explain." Reborn said jumping out from his hiding spot.

"Oh what a cute little baby. I didn't know you had siblings Tsuna."

"I'm not his sibling, I'm his home tutor."

Ayumi stared at Tsuna with a concerned face. "Tsuna, I'm a little worried about you. You run around the streets in your underwear and a baby is your home tutor."

"Senpai, it's definitely not what you think."

Reborn cleared his throat and began his long explanation.
