Early the next morning, Snuffy woke up to find that the rain had stopped and the sun was shining! His heart was filled with hope and song.
Then he remembered- it was his birthday! He felt very excited- he was looking forward to it so much!
When the other planes were awake, he reminded them of his plans to spend the day in Skylandia.
"Well alright- we'll tell Brenda Blue."
So they went to the workshop and informed her of the plan.
Brenda thought for a minute.
"Alright, you can spend the day in Skylandia-but you need to stay here an hour before you can go."
"Alright..." they all agreed. So they waited an hour. When Brenda told them they could go, they all flew to Skylandia to celebrate Snuffy's birthday without any further delay.
At last, they flew through the wind spout and then they flew on to the castle. When they arrived there after a long flight, Prince Duffy and his friends all greeted the four young planes.
"Hello- all this is indeed a surprise!" The prince exclaimed. He liked seeing their friends from Tarrytown, but he was unused to them making surprise visits.
"Yeah- I really wanted to celebrate my birthday here." Snuffy explained.
"Happy Birthday Snuffy!" they all said.
"Seeing as it's your birthday, I would like to invite you all to have chocolate cake and some orange juice." The prince announced warmly.
Jay Jay and his friends all learned that birthdays have simple joys, like spending time with friends.
