Chapter Two
Splash! Fea jerked up, swept back into consciousness with the mass of water now poured onto her face. She sputtered.
"Max! Chill!"
Fea looked up to see the super-geeky girls from the freak table. Suze Simon, Bella Swan, Max Ride, and Lily Evans. Suze, who seemed to be the chiding voice, grabbed Fea's hand and yanked her up.
"As much as I feel like killing you, Max included, we're gonna put the bitterness on hold for a moment. Because you're in trouble. Deep trouble. We saw you talking to Edfard Mullen. You know you're not supposed to do that! He's... "
"A Vampirate! Our mortal enemies..." Bella finished.
Instantly, Lily Evans looked up in distaste. "Your mortal enemy, you mean. I just have to worry about You-Know-Who, and those pesky Marauders."
"And I'm only concerned with getting rid of Itex and saving the world!" Max said melodramatically.
"And I'm just trying to deal with having an absolutely gorgeous dead guy for a boyfriend, while an absolutely gorgeous live guy wants to get in my pants, and all these other average-looking guys just fall for me right and left!" Suze cried, and then she smirked. "Damn, I love being the popular, quirky new kid. You should really try that, Bella."
"I am the popular, quirky new kid!" she protested.
"Um, I beg to differ," Lily Evans chimed in, "I read your book, and you seem to be more of an immature, flat, whiny pain in the ass to me."
Bella frowned. "Edward Cullen is madly in love with me! My blood is potent! What do you have, huh?"
"James Potter! With perfectly toned Quidditch muscles! Beat that!"
And then it turned into an all-out brawl.
The girls began to tackle each other, while Fea stood dumbstruck, looking on. A group of boys came from the gym to drive home, and became enthralled looking at the fight. Bella looked towards Fea and tackled her, screaming, "And this is for being a carbon copy of me, you—" The guys began to cat-call as the girls rolled around on the ground, yanking at each other's hair and clothing. Fea's dress was riding up, showing what she did not want to be seen.
Because Fea had a tattoo. It was almost a birthmark, considering she had had it since before she was born. Yep, Fea was just that special that she was born with a tattoo. But it was a perfect, minuscule drawing of a telephone, and Fea did not know what it was supposed to mean, but she knew that finding out was going to be her destiny.
She tried to remove herself from the mess of limbs, as she had to pull her dress down over her upper thighs. She was so embarrassed that the guys, now including Edfard Mullen, were staring at her. Edfard Mullen was staring right at her tattoo. This was going to be a problem.
As soon as Fea got away from the group, she called her mother to come pick her up. Fea waited alone in the dark for the car to come around to the school and get her, and she was starting to feel a little creeped. That is, until she heard a voice. Because then she became a lot creeped. It was the tattoo.
The tattoo was talking to her!
"Hey! Hey! Down here!" the tattoo yelled to her. The only way to see her tattoo was to lift up her dress, as it was on the bottom of her back. She lifted the silky fabric, hoping no one was around.
"What?" she asked it, clearly annoyed.
"I have a message for you," the voice told her, in what was a deep and mysterious voice. "The message is this: Edfard Mullen is not to be trusted."
"Why not?" asked Fea in her most whiny voice. "He's soooooo hot! And he's soooo nice to me! I think he's really sweet!" Fea began to walk away from the voice, and she stomped her feet. But she could still hear the voice... how curious. It was then she remembered the voice was the tattoo. She swiveled around so that she could see the tattoo.
"You're lying," she told it. "I want to know who sent you here to deliver this message! Everyone knows how perfect Edfy and I are for each other."
"I was sent by," the voice began... "Your sister. Your long-lost sister that you've never known existed, but is making an appearance via tattoo to convey this message. Stay away from Edfard Mullen. I don't care how much you think he is TEH SEX1NEsS...stay away."
Fea pulled her dress down, back over her lingerie. She knew she could huff and puff all she wanted to, but the tattoo would never listen. So, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She went to search for Edfard Mullen. He was no where to be seen outside of the school, so she had to convince the people standing outside the gym that she had already been inside and wanted to re-enter, please. After a bit of whining, threatening, foot-stamping, and flirting, she was allowed inside. She looked around for Edfard Mullen, and there he was, standing in the corner again. As always, no one was around him because of his intimidating "hotness".
Fea went to walk towards him. Edfard didn't notice her, being too entranced with his shoes. She was hoping for him to look up and watch her walk across the gym, but it didn't matter. He would soon be entranced by her; she was finally going to talk to him.
About two feet away from him, something odd happened to Fea. She was being repelled from Edfard like opposite poles of a magnet; she tried to walk towards him, but couldn't get anywhere near him. Flailing her arms, she tried to get closer to him. It was impossible. People began to point at her, looking as though she was trying to swim through an invisible yet strong current. Glad that Edfard had not been looking her way, she gave up. Walking away defeated, she thought she heard a small voice say, "Ha."
When Fea got home, she stormed into her room. She was humiliated by the events of the night, and mad that she hadn't gotten some from Edfard Mullen. So in a fit of rage, she slammed her fist into her wall, causing not only a hole to appear, but for her knuckles to swell up to the size of grapefruits within seconds. Like I said, time-defying. But now she was stuck with no guy, and a busted-up fist.
What a sucky night.
She attempted to take off her dress, finding it impossible with her swollen hands. So she collapsed onto her bed, fully clothed. She turned on the radio and drowned out her sorrows with Linkin Park.
Leaving the radio on all night long, she slept uneasily, dreaming of tattoos, disembodied talking voices, and threats to hurt or kill her.
Fea awoke in a sweat; she had just had a horrible dream. She had overheard someone talking about killing her, and she had a tattoo on her back that was talking to her.
Thinking it to be impossible, she went back to sleep. Only in the morning did she realize that her nightmare had actually occurred.
She had to get that tattoo off.
Later that day, Fea fell onto her bed, ready to collapse from exhaustion. During the morning, she had tried everything she could to get rid of the tattoo—shaving it off, lighting it on fire, even asking it nicely. But she was stuck. Eventually, she just went back to sleep, tired from thinking so hard during the day. But she woke up with a start, however, when she heard a tapping at her window.
She opened her eyes, to see another pair staring back at her. Uh-oh.
Feedback is always appreciated. Thanks, dears.
