AN: Hey there! Sorry about not posting. I have a lot of things, but I'm sure you don't want to hear about my excuses. So I present to you the first official chapter!

Hm? Ah yes, the disclaimer. I do not own Okami, Okamiden or RWBY. They belong to… Cappycom? RoasterTeeth? Whatever. I don't own the 3 franchises.

Chapter 1: White Wolf

"Summer, please, I'm begging you to stay! What happens if something goes wrong?! Who would care for them?!"
"..."
"Don't ignore me Summer! I can't help them, I don't know how! You are a better person than I can ever be, don't sacrifice your life for that wizard!"
"Take good care of them, alright Rae? Goodbye."
"Summer? Summer?! SUMMER?!"
My eyes snapped open and I look around me. 'Just another dream, it would seem. Yet the dream seemed so much more… clear. It felt so familiar as well… '
"Another dream?"
I turn around. Waka sits on a makeshift bed facing a small flame heating a kettle, with a small bowl and cup. I nod, and he grabs the kettle off the flame.
"Was it the same place?"
I shake my head. He begins to pour out the tea into the cup, sighing as the liquid pours down close to the brim. I stand up as he sets down the kettle, grabbing it between my teeth and pouring the tea into the bowl. Once again setting down the kettle, we drink the tea in silence as the fire slowly fades.
"These dreams, they seem to be… intensifying. Increasing in length and changing. The mountain is doing something…"
I finish my tea, looking out of the cave that we camped in. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Waka clean up the camp. He walks up to me, and we walk out of the cave. The cave opens out into the path that we have been following for the past week. And so, we continue on.
I can see the end of the path! Waka also sees it, if the sudden smile says anything. We walk off the path and look around our destination. Short spires of rock stretched around a clearing, the wind howling around the rock. Right in the center of the clearing though, was a large device, a ring of metal surrounding some kind of liquid.
"Interesting, I thought these were destroyed or broken years ago…"
Waka's whisper is barely heard over the wind, but it peaks my attention. 'Waka had seen these before? Does that mean this is Moon Tribe technology?' I turn my head towards Waka.
"It's a long story, but I had seen many of these destroyed during the Moon Tribe cataclysm. It is rare to find these here, with so few remaining. I was told these were portals, but portals to wh-"
Waka's answer is cut off by a snarling sound that emanates from the device. We look at the device, and see a demon stare back at us, image rippling in the odd liquid. As the image stills slightly, the demon is revealed to be some kind of bastardized wolf.
The demon wolf's head slowly comes out of the portal, black as night and coated in white bone marked in red. 'Grimm, Alpha Beowulf. Wait, how do I know that?' I quickly shook the thoughts off and ready my stance. Waka draws Pillow Talk and flings his pack on the ground.
*GRRRRRRRRRR!*
The Alpha Beowulf fully emerges from the portal now, growling loudly. Waka jumps to the side, and I rush in close before swinging Solar Flare, hitting the solid bone mask. The beast slides backwards, and slowly circles me. Waka strikes from behind, Pillow Talk easily cutting through the bone armor. As it turns around, I run forward, hitting it upwards with Solar Flare. It flies up, and I Power Slash its body. It splits apart, but unlike so many previous demons, it starts to dissipate in the air. The black particles of dust land on the ground, and the familiar patches of flowers and grass sprouted up.
"Interes- AMMY! LOOK OUT!"
I spin around, only to see a massive piece of white bone slam into my head.
I awake to the feeling of a bright light on my face. My eyes open, taking in my surroundings. A beautiful flourish of green, no white bone, no demons. It was a forest, but not like any in Nippon. 'Where am I?'
*GRRR -*
The growl came from my left, and it cut off just as quickly as I heard it. It was definitely the sound of one of a demon. 'So what cut it off?' I had to investigate. Turning left, my legs tense up, and I burst forward.
I run past the deep underbrush and into a large clearing. There in the clearing stood two warriors, a maiden and a boy. Both faced towards me, an odd combination of sword and shield in both their hands. 'Humans! But why do they look so weird? Nippon never had such outfits before. Odd…' The two stare at me for a second, then the maiden drops her weapons.
"OHMYOUM! She's adorable!" She squeals.
"Uh, Pyrrha? That's a wolf." The boy says. "Wolves are not exactly the… friendliest of animals."
"Don't worry about it Jaune! My family has quite a bit of experience dealing with wolves. If they don't attack on sight, they usually are friendlier and younger."
The maiden, I now know as Pyrrha, walks up to me slowly. She holds her hand out slightly, and when she gets close, puts her hand on my forehead. I sit down and tilt my head slightly. 'Nippon's wolves were quite rare… just where am I?' Pyrrha giggles slightly, interrupting my thinking.
"See Jaune? Perfectly safe." She calls out to the boy. "I think we should bring her with us, wolves can be quite useful in combat."
Before the boy, Jaune, can reply, I hear a cry further out. It sounded familiar, yet also alien. My two companions must have heard it as well, because Pyrrha had grabbed her sword and shield, and Jaune had hoisted his weapons up as well.
"Someone's in danger! We have to move!"
Jaune's words ring out, but I was already moving. I race forward, the land around me a blur. If that cry belonged to who I thought it did, I had to hurry. 'I won't lose you again. I'm not going to leave you again.' I run, and finally I see a clearing. I burst out, but what greets me is terrifying.

'This hurts so much!' The Deathstalker had stung me right in the stomach. My aura was low after I had fought so many Grimm, and the force simply punched through my aura. It was bleeding, but thankfully it was not terribly large. I try to apply pressure to the wound, and I look back towards the Deathstalker. It is backed by a horde of Grimm, Beowolves, Boarbatusks, more Deathstalkers, King Taijitus, and Ursas. I spot a few Nevermores in the distance, black forms flying high. I glance to my side. Weiss was panting heavily, cuts covering her outfit and skin. Blake was not faring much better, if her bruises were any consideration. Yang had it the worst of all, her brawling taking out much of the Grimm, but also leading her to receive much more blows. Cuts and bruises were everywhere, her blonde hair messed up yet she didn't seem to care. Two other people were here, though they seemed to be slightly better off than the rest of us.
I snap my eyes back to the Grimm horde. They move back and forth, screeching, roaring, growling, and snarling. 'Oh Oum my stomach hurts… Why aren't they attacking? Are they… taunting us?' I grip Crescent Rose more closely, it's blade dented and scratched.
Then the horde moved.
It was sudden. No warning, no signs, just the sudden movement of the ridiculous amount of Grimm.
*GRRRRR!*
Then they stopped. I whipped around, grimacing at the sudden pain in my stomach. It was a wolf. But it was… odd. A pure white coat with crimson markings that seemed to glow like fire. But more interestingly was the weapon that seemed to just float on the wolf's back. A metallic disk that seemed to burn, intricate carvings decorated the disk. Then the wolf moved. It runs towards me, and I try to ready Crescent Rose. Yet as I feebly held Crescent Rose up, the wolf leaps over me. I spin around again, groaning as my stomach wound protested the sudden twisting. Looking around, I see the dissipating form of a Beowolf as the wolf stood over it. As the body finally clears, small patches of flowers sprout out of the ground.
The Grimm horde rushes in again, trying to get past the white wolf. But the wolf never lets them past. They fall in the dozens, the wolf gliding between attacks and Grimm. But then the Deathstalker moved in. I see it start to swipe at the wolf. I acted quickly. I raised Crescent Rose. I ran, as quickly as I could. I swung my baby up, and I blocked the first strike.
Then the second strike hits me in the head.
I fall to the ground. I can hear the muffled yelling of Yang. The growling of the wolf. I can see the wolf standing over me. I reach my hand out ever so slightly, and I touch the wolf. A bright light fills my eyes. Then I start to close my eyes. Yet as I close them, I hear one last sound.
"STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!"
That was Chapter 1. Like I said in the prologue, I am a new writer, so I would appreciate criticisms and comments. Please tell me where I can improve and change. I am also out of school, so I can post MUCH earlier than… over 1 month. Oops.
| - Ruby Rose - |: I don't really appreciate you throwing me into the deep end! I mean, this is Initiation!
Let's talk about that. I will be changing many events. Ammy will be a major game changer in more ways than you might think. After all, she is a celestial being. Back to what Ruby had said, I will not be terribly kind to our cast, but I won't be terribly horrible either. This may be teen rated, but Remnant is harsh.
| - Ruby Rose - |: Well, we have our first reviewer… Can you talk to them please? I - I'm not good with other people…
Alright! Reviews!
gold crown dragon: Chibiterasu will be a character in this fic, though he won't come in until a bit further on.
| - Ruby Rose - |: Thanks for reading!
What Ruby said. Cya!
