The wolf named Makoto who is wearing a royal outfit as he wiped the sweat from the heat, he's grunting from the intense heat sweltering around him; after a moment longer, he charges forward to face the demonic-looking Ifrit, who sits upon a throne of bones looking bored; Makoto saw his 9 friends attacking the god of fire; as he nears Ifrit, a pillar of flame erupts from the air in front of the fiery entity, enveloping Makoto as he launched away, landing on his back with sections of his clothing on fire; Then his friend, Ventus, gets down on his knees beside Makoto, and quickly pats out the flames with his hands, while the superhero dog named Spot who wears exactly like the Atom is using his gadget to block the fire around them. Along with a magician rabbit named Tibbet who is using his magic at Ifrit.
"Stay down. We'll keep him busy." Ventus said as he and the other two rejoins the battle; Makoto gets back to his feet; once he does so, another voice calls out to him: that of another close friend and retainer, Sabaru, who is kneeling behind cover near Ifrit's throne with a brown rabbit named Hoppy who wears a lighting t-shirt with a cape along with a porcupine named Quiver who is wearing a a robin hood outfit as he aim his arrow at Ifrit.
"Makoto! Over here!" Sabaru called out as Makoto begins to go toward him, but is moving slowly due to his wounds. "Quickly, before he strikes again!" He warned.
Suddenly, Makoto is tackled from behind by a third friend... self-appointed Shield of the King, Finn along with a superhero cat named Whizzy who is wearing a blue cape and collar with an S. Then a Blue Beetle named Scrabian Knight who look exactly like Blue Beetle as they pulled into cover where Sabaru and the other two were; Ventus, Spot and Tibbet joins the other three within a second
"Here it comes!" Ventus panicked as they saw another pillar of flame from Ifrit washes around the ten as they huddle together and use their cover for protection; when the flames pass, Ventus, Finn and the others immediately break from cover and charge at Ifrit, and Spot give him a potion to heal Makoto. The heir to the throne of Luputa rises once more and continues the charge alongside his friends
"Let's go!" He cried out, as they began to charged at Ifrit and begin their battles...
15 Years ago... Before the Fall...
It is morning here in Laputa; the Wall that has protected the city for generations shimmers across the cityscape; at the throne room of the Citadel; a younger Makoto, Ventus, Finn and Sabaru stand before King Arthur the Wolf... Makoto's father
"The decreed hour is come. Set forth with my blessing, Prince Makoto." The King said as he look at his son who bowed down to his father.
"Thank you… Father." Makoto said.
"Take your leave, and go in the grace of the gods." Arthur said to his son as he straightens back up.
"Right." Makoto nodded.
Music Cue: Departure (Final Fantasy XV)
He turns and walks past his friends, who look startled; confused, they quickly turn back to the king and bow before setting off after Makoto; unknowing to them, Arthur looks unhappy with the proceedings; Makoto and his friends walk the steps of the Citadel; Makoto and the others are descending toward a car where Craig the Wolf stands awaiting them.
"Well, princes will be princes." Ventus shrugged about Makoto's behaviour.
"So much for royal protocol." Sabaru added.
"Not like you had to deliver a formal address…" Finn said.
Then they heard a voice suddenly calls out from behind them and Makoto saw his father is at the top of the steps, accompanied by Captain Drautos; despite his braced leg and dependence on a walking stick, Arthur begins descending the steps to catch up to Makoto.
"What is it, Father?" Makoto asked as he walks back up some steps to meet his dad halfway.
"I fear I have left too much unsaid. You place a great burden on those who would bear with you." Arthur said.
"You're one to talk." Makoto replied as he noticed his father look at his friends and begins to address them.
"I ask not that you guide my wayward son, merely that you remain at his side." Arthur said to Sabaru.
"Indeed, your Grace." Sabaru bowed to him.
"We'll see the prince to Daybreak if it's the last thing we see." Finn said?
,"Yeah what he said." Ventus agreed.
Makoto sighed. "Sorry to tell you this, but Craig's got the motor running." As he began to walked away and then look at Drautos. "My father is now in your hands." He said to Drautos as he nodded to him.
"And another thing." Arthur said as Makoto stops once more and turns. D"you mind your manners around your charming bride-to-be."
Makoto walks back to Regis and bows with a deliberately exaggerated flourish. "Father, as well. Try to mind yours around our esteemed guests from Nyx." Makoto warned.
"You have no cause for concern." Arthur replied.
"Nor do you." Makoto said it back.
"Take heed. Once you set forth, you cannot turn back." Arthur warned knowing that his son won't come back to Laputa.
"You think I would?" Makoto asked as he folded his arm.
"I need only know that you are ready to leave home behind." Arthur explained.
"Don't know about you, but I'm ready as I'll ever be." Makoto shrugged. As he turns to leave once again; the king again interrupts his doing so.
"Take care on the long road." Arthur said to his son as he stops once more and turns; Regis continues speaking as he walks to Makoto again. "Wheresoever you should go, the line of Laputa goes with you." Then he puts his left hand on Makoto's right shoulder. "Walk forward, my son."
Makoto nodded to him and he and his friendd sets of with his three-man retinue in tow. His destination: Daybreak, capital of Twilight, where he will formalize the union of states through his marriage to Lady Krystal the wolf of the imperial province of Tenebrae.
Hours Later
The car is cruising down the road; in the road ahead of the car sits Makoto behind a large, fancy broken-down car; Ventus is on his back a couple of feet away; Finn standing beside the car and tries to wave down the approaching vehicle; Sabaru is behind the wheel of their broken-down car, the Ragnarok; the civilian car approaching them just goes around them, honks a couple of times as if in annoyance, and continues on down the highway; Makoto began to look bored.
"I think we can forget about hitching our way there… Thought people were friendly outside the city." Finn suggested.
"You can only go so far on the kindness of strangers." Sabaru pointed out.
"Just gonna have to push her all the way." Finn shrugged, then he heard Ventus groaned.
"I've already pushed myself…to the brink of torture!" Ventus complaint.
Finn shake Makoto to wake him up as he walks over to Ventus. And then he pull him up. "Come on, you two. The car won't moved itself for this." He said, much for Ventus's annoyance.
"I thought the car was supposed to move us." Ventus joked.
Finn gets his paws in position on the back of the Ragnarok while Makoto and Ventus get in place on either side of the car.
"Wouldn't that be nice if—" But then Finn interrupted Makoto while he's trying to push the car.
"Can it." Finn replied as he doesn't hear another word from them. "Ready Steady… Push!" He announced.

They resume their journey the hard way; their vehicle being large and heavy, progress is slow
"Are... You... Kidding!?" Makoto screamed and groaned knowing that is going to be hard to push this car.
"Not exactly a fairy tale beginning, huh, Prince Makoto?" Finn sarcastically said.
"We let ourselves get carried away." Sabaru frowned.
"Look, these things happen!" Ventus defended.
"Let's hope this isn't some omen." Finn said.
"Finn, do me a favor." Makoto offered.
"What?" Finn asked.
"Push this thing by yourself." Makoto suggested.
"All by myself?" Finn exclaimed.
"You won't even notice if we just let go." Ventus replied.
"Ventus, don't even think about it." Finn warned as he glared at the lazy dog.
"Save some breath for more pushing." Sabaru sighed.
"Sabaru, c'mon— time to switch!" Makoto begged to Finn.
"Nuh-uh! We just switched back there!" Finn insisted.
"And it's my turn, Makoto." Ventus suggested.
"His "turn." Sabaru wondered.
"My hands are hurting me." Ventus complaint.
"You rather I kill you with mine?" Finn threatened Ventus while he's pushing the car.
"Easy,there, tough guy." Ventus said as he look nervous.
"Any luck." Makoto asked.
"Only a busy signal." Sabaru said.
Ventus look extremely tired for pushing the car, and then he saw something. "Wait a minute— is it just me, or was it supposed to be way closer?" He asked.
"I assure you the map is correct." Sabaru answered.
"The map said Hammerhead was right there." Makoto assumed.
"Literally next door." Ventus commented.
"Looks that way on a map of the world." Finn said.
The four are quiet for a moment as they continue struggling to make their way.
"The world's a big old place." Makoto remarked.
"Filled with wonders." Sabaru added.
