Chapter 2—Ginger Haired Girl

Out of frustration, the crew of Novis Noah agreed that Yuu really needs a fresh air. So they asked Kanan, who is his best friend, to go with him.

However, as they about to go, it turns out that Nakki Guys, the new pilot was offering himself to accompany Yuu, much to Kanan's relief.

Well, It's not that she doesn't want to go with Yuu, not that.

The reason is, she wasn't so sure that going with him was a good choice for her, as she thinks back to when she was talking to Yuu about Hime, in intend to ask him to move on with his life, in which he doesn't even pay attention.

Yuu was determined that Hime's presumably death was his fault; he's the one to blame.

And if she isn't dead, he had to find her, no matter what it takes or how many times were needed, and both of them ends up bickering because Kanan sure that all Yuu needs is to get Hime out of his head, and continue his life without her, and that exactly what Yuu can't agree with.

He keep saying something about responsibility and so on, but Kanan knew, more than anyone, that that is not the true reason behind his sudden stubbornness when it comes to this matter, his true reason is; he was definitely falling for her and yet found only himself to blame upon as for the incident that snatch Hime Utsumiya away from all of them.

But Kanan knows herself as well as she knows Yuu, and that is her second reason, she's missing her too, and so, it was painful to ask Yuu to move on when she's… not even started. Okay, so now it's up to Nakki to cheer Yuu up, somehow.

"I think you're too attached to that girl", said Nakki as they strolled around with their Brain's,

"I am not", Yuu replied irritably, he never likes it if anyone should happen to say he was attached to Hime, well, they had been together somewhere in between these wars, but to say that he was too attached to her, that's a very different story.

"But you had slept with her once, did you?", came Nakki's playful answers, well, he can be as annoying as Hime sometimes, that's what Yuu's had been thinking.

"Well that's…. personal", Yuu blushed faintly at the comments, though he can't say otherwise,

"Tell me about it", the red head chuckled in amusement, Yuu definitely has some temper to play with, and he knows he's going to love this.

Both of the young man decided to stop somewhere and continue to stroll on their own feet, the city was just too tempting to not go to.

"Is that your first time?", Nakki asked him again, this time, definitely on purpose,

"That's not even your business!", cried the azure haired young man angrily as he walks away in a rush, tried his best to avoid more questions from the guy, or else, he's going to asked about something more and more embarrassing each time, and he would have pictured each of the moment he spent with Hime around the said question, when they were asked.

"Akh!", a cried of one familiar female voice was heard from his front,

"I am so sorry, mister" she added, making Yuu frowned at her,

"What is your-", he wanted to asked but stopped as the girl pulls out a little box of tissues,

"I don't mean for that to happen, really. Here, take them to clean up your shirt", said her, and that is when he was paying attention to his shirt, that's been messed by stain of chocolate drink and… its cream?

"I'm not thanking you", he replied, while getting a grab of the tissue's box.

She was smiling thinly, however, much to his surprise,

"What's so funny?" he asked the girl irritably,

"Oh, it's nothing", the girl was saying, "I was just happen to remember that I work at a laundry nearby, if you want to clean up", she added in an apologetic way.

Yuu were thinking about leaving just like that, but when he sees the mess on his shirt, he gives a second damned thought,

"Laundry it is" answered him, in which the girl responded with another smiles.

While going with the new girl to her laundry, Yuu was also thinking to avoid Nakki, at any cost, so when his mind telling him to go back a second and let Nakki knows where he was going and with whom, he's getting rid of the thought and continue to follows her, thinking that that Nakki guy could go back on his own though.

"There you go, just put it on the basket over there", suggest the young girl before him "I'll get you some replacement", said her again, while going somewhere between the rooms.

When the girl came back with some fresh clothes on her hands, for the first time, Yuu had notice her whole appearance.

She has pretty long ginger colored hair, tied in a messy bun just above her collar bone, quite a remembrance of Novis Noah first captain, Anoa McCormick, except for her yet another messy fringe and bangs, making her looks a lot like…her.

But the girl here was pregnant, he had noticed by the clothing style she used, a pink baby doll knee-lengthen dress, with some embroidered pink flowers, cute.

He shook his head in disbelief as he saw her while taking a plain white shirt from some that she offered.

"This girl is not Hime", he thought to himself as he saw her pregnant state and clothing style. The Hime he knew would never wore dress and almost flat wedges, she's always wore her stretching t-shirt, baggy jeans, with a pair of sneakers.

And her hair never tied up, even when she's about to piloting her Brain.

"What's your name?" she asked as he was caught off –guard by her,

"Yuu, what's yours?", he said while asking back, okay, too much civilization act, he thinks as he came a little bit attached to this new acquaintance of him,

"Natsuki", she replied in smile, which he could only wonder of why on earth she can still smile so innocently like that, despite the fact that she's pregnant, which could only means that her innocence has already taken, somehow.

"Here's your shirt, pretty squeaky isn't it?", again, she caught him off-guard due to his thought within himself,

"Thanks", he heard himself saying, while taking the shirt from her hand and change right away, she wasn't that clean-type of a girl, right? So, it doesn't matter if he changes in front of her, is it?

Well, even it took only some minutes for him to cut end to this newly friendship, something in his mind tells him, that she would be more than just a friend in a short of a time.

"You lived here?", he decided to asked when he saw her turning her back towards some other room,

"Yes, what about it?", half questioning, she answers him,

"Well, nothing in particularly", he began to answer her,

"But I guess it would be nice if I can buy you some drink if we meet again", continued him, eyes slightly rolled over to avoid hers,

"Sure thing, mister. I kind of have a feeling that we would meet again so soon, somehow", she replied, accompanied by one of those genuine smile of her, great, he's definitely bonding around, judging from her responds,

"Right. Well, I got to go now, nice talking to you", civilized as he heard himself, he waving in formality towards the said girl, and to his surprise, she waved back,

"Okay, have a nice day".
