"Whose idea was it to do this today?" I frown.

"Mine." Braxton crosses his arms. "Is there a problem?"

"Noooo." I say dramatically. "Just the fact that I'm not sure if that's spinach or mold in your hand."

Braxton drops the bag containing the suspicious-looking green clod on the ground with a shudder. Out of nowhere, the Vision floats in and snatches up the bag from the floor.

"Please do not drop my experiment." He says crisply, leaving the room.

"Okay…" Braxton shakes his head and ducks back into the fridge.

"Don't let it eat you." I smirk.

"What, the fridge?" Braxton says from inside the freezer.

"Naturally." I scoff. Natasha saunters into the kitchen.

"What are you guys doing?" She asks.

"Cleaning the fridge." Braxton wedges himself deeper in the freezer.

"Ah." Natasha nods. "Touch my smoothies and you die."

"Got it." I say.

Braxton removes what looks strangely like a ball of the spaghetti Steve made last week, in the shape of a football.

"This is not a spaghetti wrapped football." Braxton curls his lip.

"We live in a compound full of freaks." I shrug. "That's probably a spaghetti wrapped football."

"Disgusting." Braxton huffs. "That's a waste."

"Of what?" I frown. "The spaghetti or the football?"

"Both, obviously." Braxton says it like it's a fact of life.

"Okay." I roll my eyes. "Are we done yet?"

Braxton gives me a dirty look, then digs into the freezer again.

"Keep talking, and I'll make you do it." He grumbles into the ice-cube tray.

I laugh until I can't breathe.
