Hello. This is the second chapter of The Priestess and The Demon Prince. I hope you all enjoy it. Also, sorry for being so late with it. P.S. this chapter was made with the help of KarouUchiha. Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Chapter Two: Dogs, Training, and more Demons
Later at night
A certain demon prince was running as fast as he could through the forest he was in, panting heavily. Behind him, a certain dog demoness was chasing after him, a manic grin on her face.
"Come back, young Demon Prince!" Seryu yelled as she swiped at the thirteen year old with her claws, missing his head just by an inch.
"Haru!" Rin called out, hoping the ravenette would come and save him.
"Your little priestess friend won't come and save you this time." the auburn haired demon said, finally catching the young boy and holding his up by his shirt collar.
Then she held him over a deep pit that appeared out of no where. Inside where a dozen of snarling hell hounds.
"Ta, ta, Demon Prince." Seryu said before she released the redheaded boy and let him fall into the pit.
Rin screamed as he quickly sat up in his bed, his body covered in sweat. He trembled as he could still hear the snarls and growls of the hell hounds from his nightmare.
'Damn it.' he thought to himself, placing his hand over his face. 'Stupid Seryu and her dogs.'
Then his body stiffened when he heard what sounded like footsteps making their to the door of his room. The demon prince stood as still as a statue as he watched the doorknob turn, his heart beating rapidly.
The door opened and in walked a certain priestess.
"Rin, are you okay?" Haru asked in monotone, her face showing a slight sleepy expression. "I heard you scream. Kokoro's a heavy sleeper, so she's still asleep."
"I-I'm fine." Rin replied, trying his best to calm down.
"What's wrong?" the ravenette questioned, sitting down on the bed.
"N-Nothing..." the thirteen year old boy told her, but she didn't believe him.
"You're crying." Haru pointed out when she saw the tears in his eyes, her facial expression softening a bit.
"It's nothing, okay?!" Rin snapped at her.
Not saying anything, the young woman gently grabbed the sides of his face and made him look at her.
"What's bothering you?" she asked softly.
The demon prince stared at her for a moment, slightly taken aback from how she was acting, then sighed. "I-I had a nightmare." he admitted embarrassingly, his cheeks turning a bit red.
"About?" Haru urged him to continue.
"I-I was being chased for Seryu. I called for you, but you didn't come. And, when Seryu finally caught me, she threw me into a pit of hell hounds." Rin finished retelling his bad dream, more tears falling from his eyes.
Then, much to his surprise, the ravenette gently pulled the redheaded boy into a hug, her arms around him as one of her hands was resting on his head.
"It's alright, Rin. I understand." Haru reassured him.
Rin blushed slightly from having the beautiful priestess hugging him. Then he slowly raised up his arm and wrapped them around her neck.
'This reminds me of Mom.' he thought when he felt the young woman gently rub circles on his back. "Hey, Haru..." he started to say.
"Yes?" Haru questioned.
"C-Can I sleep with you, tonight?" Rin asked. "I-I don't mean in a perverted way, of course." he quickly added, his face a light shade of red. "I-I just..." he trailed off.
The ravenette chuckled fondly. "No problem." she told him.
Then she gently picked up the younger boy, one of her arms hold his upper body while her other one was tucked under his knees. She walked out of his room and went to her own. Once inside, she set him down on her bed and climbed in with him. She then pulled the covers over them.
"You know..." Rin started to say as he moved closer to the priestess, his eyelids drooping from sleep. "You're really warm." he stated, his face buried in some of her raven black hair.
Haru smiled softly as put one of her arms around him and started to rub his back again.
'He's not so annoying when he's like this.' she thought to herself. "Go to sleep, Rin." she told him. "I'll be here to keep you safe."
"Thanks, Haru..." the demon prince said before drifting off to sleep.
The ravenette watched the younger sleep for a while, listening to the soft snores he was giving out. She smiled at him.
"Well, I guess I should go to sleep, too." she said softly to herself.
She laid her head down on her pillow. It took the priestess a few moments to eventually get overcome with sleep.
Early the morning
Rin groaned slightly when he felt the morning sun hit his eyelids. He slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw what the beautiful, sleeping face of a certain ravenette priestess.
The demon prince blinked a couple of times as he stared at her, his brain trying to properly process what he was seeing. Then something clicked inside his head.
'Ehhhhhhhhhh?!' he mentally exclaimed in shock, his eyes widening. 'W-Why is Haru in my bed?!'
Taking a quick look around, the thirteen year old noticed that he wasn't in his room, but the ravenette's. Soon, memories from last night ran through his head.
'Now I remember.' he thought to himself. 'I had a bad dream, Haru came in, and I asked to sleep with her.' his face turned as red as his hair. 'So embarrassing!'
Glancing at the ravenette, Rin stared at her sleeping face.
'I have to admit...' he thought to himself. 'She looks really peaceful when she sleeps.'
Suddenly, Haru's arms were around him and pulled him closer to her.
The redheaded young boy blushed heavily at how close he was to her large breasts.
'W-Woah...' was all he thought as he stared at her cleavage, which was seen from the tank top she was wearing. He silently gulped. "H-Hey, Haru, wake up." he said, trying to wake her up.
The priestess just mumbled something in her sleep.
Realizing she wasn't going to wake up yet, Rin tried to get out of Haru's arms. His struggle was all in vain when the ravenette tightened her grip on him.
'Dammit!' the demon prince mentally cursed. 'Why is she so strong?!'
He looked at the young woman's sleeping face for a while, then turned his gaze down to her exposed cleavage. An idea entered his mind.
'I-It would be fine if I touch them for a little bit, right?' Rin mentally questioned, his face turning bright red. 'I mean, she's always messing with me, this is just a form of payback.'
Then, raising one of his arms, the thirteen year old slowly moved his hand towards the ravenette's chest. Rin felt his heart being faster the closer he got. His hand was just inches from her breasts. A couple of centimeters now. Then, just as his fingertips brushed against her tank top, a hand suddenly caught his wrist. Taken aback, Rin looked up and saw himself staring into a pair of cold, pissed off, ocean blue eyes.
"What the hell are you doing?" Haru asked in monotone, her face emotionless.
"I-I can explain!" the demon prince exclaimed, fear building up inside him.
"Explain to your maker."
"Aaaaaahhhhh!"
Meanwhile
"I guess Onee-chan and Onii-chan are up." Kokoro said to herself, waking up after hearing the loud scream.
Later, at breakfast
"That looks like it hurts." the ten tear old girl remarked, talking about the slap mark on his cheek and bump on the thirteen year old's head.
"Shut up." Rin ordered. "Hey, Haru..." he called to the ravenette, who was in the kitchen and preparing her own food. "Are you still pissed at me?" he asked.
"No." Haru replied in monotone, her face expressionless, as she slammed the sharp knife she had in her hand down and sliced a loaf of bread in half. "I'm over it."
'She's so not over it!' the demon prince thought fearfully.
"What did you do?" Kokoro asked.
"Nothing little kids need to know." Rin told her.
The violet haired girl scowled and pouted. "You're only a few years older than me." she retorted. "And you're at the age were your pervertedness kicks in."
"I'm not perverted!" the demon prince shouted.
"Funny you should say that." Haru commented as she walked into the room and sat down at the table, setting her plate down on it. "But it contradicts the fact you tried to touch my boobs." she told him.
Rin flinched and blushed heavily.
"Plus, trying to do it while I was asleep makes it even more disgusting." the ravenette added.
"Pervert." Kokoro said, shaking her in disappointment.
Before the young boy could say anything, the door slid open.
"Morning." Makoto greeted as she walked into the room.
"Hi." the two cousins greeted back in unison.
"Rin, are you okay?" the olive green haired girl asked the thirteen year old when she saw his dark, red face.
"He's just embarrassed because I caught him being a pervert." Haru told her, munching on a piece of mackerel nonchalantly.
"What?" Makoto questioned, confused. "What happened?"
"Nothing!" Rin immediately yelled.
'Maybe I shouldn't pry.' the healer thought to herself, sensing the younger boy's embarrassment. "Anyway, I came by to tell you that Kira's back." she informed her childhood friend.
'Kira?' the demon prince thought to himself.
"Kira's home?!" Kokoro asked excitedly, standing up from the table. "Kira!" she called as she ran out of the house, Haru and Makoto following her.
Then the sound of a dog barking was heard.
'A dog?' Rin mentally questioned as he got up and followed the girls.
When he was outside, the thirteen year old saw a large, black dog with purple eyes.
"Kira, welcome home!" Kokoro greeted happily, hugging the dog around her furry neck.
"I didn't expect you home until tomorrow." Haru said, rubbing the canine's head. "Good to see you back, Kira." she added.
Kira nuzzled her head against the priestess's soft hand. Then her eyes landed on Rin. Suddenly, her lips curled back, revealing her sharp fangs, and growled at him as she stood in front of the ravenette protectively.
"What's her problem?!" Rin exclaimed, backing away.
"She's sensing that you're a demon." Haru told him, grabbing the canine's collar and hold her back. "Kira, calm down. Rin isn't a bad demon." she told her dog. "Although, he is a pain in the ass." she added.
"Hey!" the demon prince yelled.
Kira stared at him for a moment longer until she backed off and sat down by the priestess feet, still watching the thirteen year old with cautious eyes.
"Does she have spiritual powers, too?" Rin asked.
"She does." Haru replied. "She's my familiar. Everyone in my family has one."
"Does Kokoro have one?" the redheaded boy questioned.
"Not yet." Kokoro admitted. "But I'll have one soon."
"Hey, guys, I need to get home to watch Ren and Ran." Makoto informed. "I'll come back later with Nagisa and Toka-chan."
"Bye, bye." the ten year old said, waving good-bye as the olive green haired girl walked down the stairs of the shrine house and left.
"See you." Haru said. "Alright, time to work."
"Work?" Rin questioned.
"Yeah, this shrine doesn't clean itself, you know." the ravenette told him. "Speaking of cleaning, you're helping, too."
"Me?"
"Yeah, if you're going to live here, you might as well do some heavy lifting. I don't want a freeloader in my house."
"Freeloader?!"
"Kokoro is younger than you at the moment and can do a good amount of chores on her own." Haru said. "Don't tell me that the great Demon Prince can't handle going a few chores."
Rin growled in annoyance. "Of course I can!" he declared. "Just tell me what's need to be done and I'll finish it in record time!"
'Too easy.' the ravenette thought to herself, feeling victorious.
An hour of labor later
The redheaded boy breathed a sigh of relief as he sat down on the stone steps that lead up to the shrine that was on the property. Kira sat down next to him, a water bottle in her mouth.
"Thanks." Rin said as he took the bottle, opened it, and took a sip. "I'm not use to doing this kind of work back in the Demon World. But I managed to finish my list of chores before Haru or Kokoro." he remarked smugly.
The large canine barked.
"Okay, I might have used a bit of the magic I still have to breeze through some of them."
Kira seemed to sigh and shook her head.
"Don't look at me like that." Rin said. "You probably would have done the same thing if you were in my shoes. Then again, you don't even wear shoes."
The black dog just huffed and turned her head away.
"You're really similar to Haru." the redheaded boy remarked.
Speaking of the ravenette. Out of the corner of his eye, Rin saw the young woman, who was now wearing her priestess uniform, hanging up clothes on a clothes line outside. The thirteen year old just sat and stared at Haru. His eyes traveled to her long, smooth legs, up to her slender, yet curvy waist, and to the curves of her large, round breasts. When he finally reached her face, Rin took more time to observed her. Her naturally beautiful, unblemished face, which didn't have a trace of make-up on it, her lovely, ocean blue eyes that seemed to shine in the sunlight, and her long, silky raven hair.
'Even though she's cold and a bit of a bitch...' the demon prince thought to himself. 'She's really pretty. I know demonesses back in the Demon World that can't even hold a candle compared to her.'
Then the priestess turned her head, her eyes clashing with his.
"Something wrong?" she asked in monotone. "I've noticed that you've been staring me for a while."
"I-I was not!" Rin denied, turning his head away as his face turned as red as his hair.
"Whatever you say." Haru said as she went back to hanging up clothes.
Kira barked at the thirteen year old and seemed to let out a dog-like laugh.
"Shut up!" the redheaded boy yelled.
After the two cousins had finished their chores
"Whew!" Kokoro, wearing her priestess uniform, breathed out as she sat down on the ground. "I'm bushed."
"You did good work today." Haru praised, rubbing her head.
The violet haired girl giggled, her two strands of hair twitching from happiness that she was being complimented by her older cousin.
"What about me?" Rin asked.
"What about you?" the ravenette questioned, crossing her arms under her chest. "You probably used whatever magic you still have to finish faster than us."
"Urk!" the thirteen year old flinched. 'How sharp is she?!' he mentally exclaimed.
"I see no reason to praise you for doing something the easy way." Haru told him.
"Oh yeah?" Rin questioned, getting annoyed at what she said. "Well, give me something t do right now and I'll do it without magic!" he declared, wanting to prove her wrong.
He went over to another basket filled with clothes and opened it. A second later, the young boy blushed heavily at what he saw inside.
"If you wanted to look at my underwear that badly, you could've just asked." Haru remarked in monotone.
"S-Shut up!" Rin yelled.
"Well, that's the only chore left to be done." the ravenette told him. "If you're too nervous to handle cleaning a woman's underwear, I understand." she said somewhat teasingly.
The demon prince growled in annoyance. "I can handle it with no problem." he retorted.
'He really is too easy. It's kinda cute.' Haru thought to herself. "Alright." she said. "We'll be back in three hours, I expect my underwear to be cleaned, dried, an folded by the time Kokoro and I are back."
"Where are you going?" Rin asked.
"We got a few job request to get rid of some demon. Plus, we need to do some grocery shopping." the priestess informed.
"Oh..."
"Let's go, Kokoro."
"Kay." the ten year old said as she followed her cousin.
"Kira, stay with him and make sure he doesn't screw up anything." Haru ordered her dog. "And I want to be informed if he uses magic."
Kira barked in reply, nodding her head.
"Your faith in me is that small?!" Rin exclaimed.
The ravenette ignored him and walked down the stone steps with the younger girl.
"Stupid, emotionless excuse of a priestess..." the redheaded boy mumbled to himself. "I'll show her."
He grabbed the basket and looked at the contents inside it.
'This might be harder than I thought.' Rin thought to himself, his turning as red as his hair when he saw Haru's underwear.
He picked up one of her pairs, which was a black, with dark purple lace, bra with matching panties.
Kira barked when she saw him ogling.
"I'm working, I'm working!" Rin told her.
Three hours later
"I wonder how Onii-chan's doing." Kokoro thought aloud, walking up the steps to the shrine house with her cousin, bags of food in their hands.
"I just hope he hasn't made a mess." Haru remarked.
When they reached the top of the stairs, they saw a certain black dog sitting on the porch of the shrine house.
"Kira..." the ravenette said as she and the younger girl approached the house. "How did Rin do? Did he use any magic?" she asked.
Kira barked and shook her head.
"I told you Onii-chan could do it." Kokoro told her cousin.
"Whatever." Haru retorted in monotone. "Where is he, anyway?" she asked.
The black canine turned around and slid open the door with her paw. Then the two priestess saw a certain demon prince laying on his side, his head resting on his arm as some soft snores were heard coming from him.
"He actually did it." the tall young woman said when she saw her cleaned underwear laying folded neatly in a basket.
"Onii-chan is a really hard worker when he wants to be." the violet haired girl remarked.
"I guess..."
Then a small groaning sound come from the young boy.
"Mom..." Rin mumbled in his sleep, his eyebrows furrowing down slightly.
"Is Onii-chan dreaming about his mother?" Kokoro questioned.
"Looks like it." Haru said.
She knelt down besides the redheaded boy's sleeping figure, raised her arm, and placed her hand on his head.
"You did a great job." the ravenette told him softly, rubbing his head. "Good boy."
Then, as if he heard her, Rin's expression relaxed and he leaned his head closer into her soft hand.
The next day, skip to after school
"Hey, Haru-chan..." Toka started to say, walking up the stone steps that lead to the shrine house with the other girls and the demon prince.
"What is it?" Haru asked.
"I was wondering if you and I could do some training today." the light brown haired young woman said.
"Fine with me." the ravenette replied in monotone.
"It's been a while since we've seen them fight each other." Nagisa commented when they reached the top of the stairs.
"Do you think Toka-onee-chan will win this time?" Kokoro questioned.
"I don't know. Possibly." Makoto replied.
"How many times has she lost before?" Rin asked.
"Ever since the first time I fought her, I haven't won a single fight against Haru-chan." Toka admitted, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly.
"Seriously?!" the redheaded boy exclaimed in shock.
Later
The two young woman, who were now wearing their priestess uniforms, where standing on either side of a clearing that was located behind the shrine.
"Do they do this often?" Rin asked, standing in the sidelines with the other girls.
"Sometimes." Makoto told him.
"Okay, Onee-chan vs. Toka-onee-chan." Kokoro, who was the referee, announced. "May the best priestess win!"
"Don't go easy on me, Haru-chan." Toka, who had removed her glasses earlier, told her childhood friend, her hand wrapped around the handle of her katana.
"Right back at you." Haru replied in monotone, placing her own hand on the handle of her katana.
"Why did Toka take off her glasses?" Rin asked.
"Toka-chan only does that whenever she's fighting against someone seriously." Nagisa explained.
"Begin!" Kokoro shouted.
"Here I come!" Toka yelled as she quickly shot forward, pulling out her katana from the sheath.
Haru unsheathed her sword, too. She held it out in front of her, just in time to block the other priestess's katana, sparks flying when their blades clashed with each other.
"As expected, you blocked me so easily." Toka remarked.
She pulled away and started to skillfully slash her sword at Haru, who was able to block all of the slashes with ease.
'They're both so skillful.' Rin mentally commented, completely transfixed on the fight.
Toks then jumped back, landed a few feet away from her childhood friend. She repositioned her katana and focused her gaze on the ravenette. Then yellow electricity crackled around her sword's blade, as well as around her body.
"Woah..." Rin breathed, his eyes widened slightly.
"Because of her ability to control lighting, Toka-chan gained the name of the Lighting Priestess." Makoto informed.
"Raikiri!" Toka yelled as she shot forward, moving even faster than before.
Reacting quickly, Haru stuck her katana blade into the ground. A second later, a water barrier surrounded the ravenette. The other priestess slashed her katana at the barrier. However, her electricity had no affect. Cursing, Toka quickly jumped away and landed a few feet away.
"Nothing happened." Rin stated the obvious.
"That's because Onee-chan can purify the water she uses." Kokoro told him. "So that way electricity can't be conducted from it."
"She can do that?" the demon prince questioned, taken a back.
"Yep." the violet haired down confirmed, nodding her head.
Kira barked and nodded, too.
'She sure is something.' Rin thought to himself, focusing his gaze back on the ravenette, a slight glint of admiration in his eyes.
"You're smitten." Kokoro remarked, snickering behind her hand.
"I am not!" the redheaded boy denied, blushing brightly.
'My electric attacks are useless since the water she controls is pure.' Toka thought to herself. 'But, if I can catch her by surprise, I just might have a chance.' she mentally remarked, determination in her orange eyes.
The water barrier surrounding Haru lowered and now water was surrounding her ankles. She held up her hand and pointed it in the direction of the lighting priestess. Then two tentacles made out of water shot from water around her feet and headed straight from Toka.
Gritting her teeth together, the light brown haired young woman shot forward.
'I'll look like I'm charging head on...' Toka thought as she slashed one of tentacles with her katana.
When the other one came at her, she turned her whole body around and moved to the right, dodging it. Then she used her katana to cut it apart. Now a few feet away from her childhood friend, Toka suddenly disappeared into thin air, surprising the others.
'But I'm really aiming to attack from behind!' the light brown haired young woman mentally exclaimed as she suddenly appeared behind Haru.
Then Toka slashed her katana across the taller priestess's body, only for her to melt into water.
'What?!' she thought in shock. 'A water copy?! When did she...'
Suddenly, she felt the sharp side of a katana blade pressed gently against her neck.
"Very clever." Haru complimented from behind her childhood friend, her face expressionless. "Pretending to go for a head on attack when you were really planning on attacking from behind. But I had already thought about that. All I needed was just one second."
Realization dawned on Toka.
'When I turned around to dodge the water tentacle...' she thought herself. 'To predict what I was going to do and then to create a water clone with just one second to spare...' a small smile graced her lips. 'This is why she's the strongest.' she mentally remarked as she stood up when the other priestess removed the katana blade from her neck. "Man, I lost again." she said, rubbing the back of her head as she turned to face her childhood friend.
"You did a really good job, Toka." the ravenette complimented. "You've gotten a lot stronger."
"But I'm not strong enough to beat you, Haru-chan." the light brown haired young retorted.
"Well, Haru has been training since she was four." Makoto remarked, wakling over to the other girls and handing Toka her glasses back.
'That long?!' Rin thought in disbelief.
"And she summoned Kira-chan as a familiar when she was eight." Nagisa added.
'Is she some kind of prodigy?' the redheaded boy mentally questioned.
"You guys make sound like a prodigy." Haru commented.
'Can she read minds, too?!' Rin mentally exclaimed.
"But you basically are." Kokoro told her cousin.
"Your father is a very powerful priest." Toka stated. "Plus, with your mother being a-" she stopped when the ravenette placed a hand over her mouth.
"You know I don't like talking about you know who in front of others." Haru said as she removed her hand.
"Oh, I'm sorry." the lighting priestess apologized.
"Does Haru have some issues with her mother?" Rin asked/whispered to Makoto.
"Oh no, actually, they're really close." the olive green haired girl replied.
"Then why doesn't like talking about her?"
"Haru just doesn't like talking about who her mother is."
"Who is she?" Rin asked.
"Afraid I can't tell you." Makoto replied.
"Onee-chan." Kokoro spoke up, her phone in her hand. "Jimeko-chan just called me. She said that there's something at her house that she wanted to show me and wanted you to come."
"I don't know." Haru said. "You know how her brother feels about me."
"She promises that he'll be on his best behavior while we're there." the violet haired girl informed. "She also said that it's important."
The ravenette sighed. "Fine."
"Can we come, too?" Nagisa asked.
"If you want to, then go right ahead." Haru replied in monotone, her face blank, as she turned around and started making her way to the stone steps in the front yard.
Sometime later, at a decent sized, two-story house
"Kokoro-chan, I'm glad you and Haru-chan came." Jimeko said after she opened the door and saw her friend and everyone else standing outside.
"What's the important thing you wanted to show us?" the young priestess asked as she and the others walked into the house.
"It's in the backyard." the orange-brown haired girl told her.
"Oi." a male voice suddenly spoke up.
Everyone looked towards the bottom of the staircase and saw a tall, handsome young man with wild, unkempt light brown hair and light brown eyes, which he had yellow sunglasses over. In between his lips was a lighted cigarette.
"What are they doing here?" Kurashiki Kuraudo (Age: 17, Height: 179 cm) asked, eyeing the group, specifically the three priestesses and black dog.
"I asked them to come over, Nii-chan." Jimeko told him.
'This is her brother?!' Rin thought in disbelief. 'They barely look alike!'
"You asked them to bring their weapons, too?" the light brown haired young man questioned, looking at the sheathed katana sword that were strapped to Haru and Toka's waist.
"You never know when a demon will suddenly appear and you need a weapon." the ravenette retorted, staring at him blankly.
Kuraudo scoffed, pulling the cigarette out of his mouth and blowing out a puff of smoke.
"Nii-chan, stop smoking in the house!" Jimeko scolded. "I've told you many times!"
"Yeah, yeah." the male oni said as he walked over to his little sister and ruffled her hair for a moment, a barely noticeable soft, tender glint in his eyes. "I'm going to head out." he informed, heading towards the door. "I'll probably be home late tonight, so don't wait up."
"Please don't go and cause trouble." the orange-brown haired girl pleaded as she straightened out her hair.
"For you, I'll try my best." Kuraudo responded.
He glanced at the group one more time before he walked out, closing the door behind him.
"What's that dude's problem?" Rin asked.
"Kura-chan isn't a big fan of priestesses." Nagisa told him.
"He's just cautious when it comes to them." Jimeko said. "Considering what they usually do to demons, you can't really blame him."
"Jimeko-chan really loves her big brother, so she always defends him." Kokoro remarked.
"T-That's not it!" the orange-brown haired oni girl shouted, her face turning a bright shade of red. "I-I just don't want him to be causing trouble for himself or others!"
'So she's the tsundere little sister type, huh?' Rin mentally remarked.
"What was it you wanted to so us, Jimeko-chan?" Toka asked the flustered girl.
"Oh, right." Jimeko said, remembering why she called them over. "What I want to show you is in the backyard."
Everyone followed the young girl out to the backyard.
"I tied her to a pole so she wouldn't run away." the orange-brown haired girl informed.
"Who's she?" Kokoro asked.
Then a small, squeak-like sound was heard. Tied to a pole with rope around it''s neck was a small, white creature that looked like a kitten with big, black eyes and horns instead of ears.
"What the hell is that?" Haru asked as Kira walked up to it and sniffed it.
"That's a baby horned rabbit." Rin said. "They're really common in the wooden areas of the Demon World."
"If that's true, how did she get to the human world?" Makoto questioned.
"Probably through a portal." the demon prince answered. "Sometimes they just pop up from nowhere and demons will go through them."
"Are they dangerous?" Haru asked, eyeing the little creature, which her cousin had untied and picked up, cautiously.
"Actually, they're pretty peaceful creature." Rin explained. "They only attack when they feel threatened."
"She's so cute." Kokoro declared, rubbing the side of her face against the little horned rabbit. "Do you wanna hold her, Onee-chan?" she asked.
Before the ravenette could make a reply, the violet haired girl placed the small creature into her arms. The little horned rabbit mewed softly as it stared up at Haru, who was staring down at her blankly. The young woman's eyelid twitched slightly, a light red hue appearing on her cheeks.
"I guess she is pretty cute." she admitted.
"Isn't she?" Kokoro questioned.
"And she's really fluffy." Haru added, rubbing the white creature's fluffy head, causing her to purr. A small smile made it's way onto the ravenette's face.
"Haru-chan has a soft spot for cute, fluffy things." Nagisa whispered to the demon prince.
"I definitely didn't except that." Rin said. 'So she really is a girl.' he thought as he looked at the tall priestess. 'I have to admit, she does look kinda cute.' he mentally remarked, blushing slightly.
"What are you staring at?" Haru asked in monotone, looking at the younger boy blankly. "Stop it, it's creepy."
'On second thought, not cute at all!' Rin thought, a vein of annoyance throbbing on his head.
"I was wondering if you guys knew what to do with her." Jimeko said. "I doubt my parents will let me keep her."
"Maybe we can send her back to the Demon World." Makoto suggested.
"Aw." Kokoro slightly whined. "Can't we keep her?" she asked.
"We can't, Kokoro." Haru told her cousin. "She probably as a family back at the Demon World who are worried about her."
"That's true..." the ten year old priestess agreed. "How do we send her back?"
"I can make a portal that will take her directly home." Rin said.
"You mean you can actually do something useful?" Haru asked in monotone.
"Yeah, I can!" the demon prince yelled.
"Anyway, let's do this back at the shrine." the ravenette said, ignoring the glare the younger boy was giving her. "I don't want there being a chance that any person nearby seeing a person doing magic."
Later
"It's too bad that she couldn't stay with us for a little while." Kokoro remarked, carrying the little horned rabbit as everyone walked back to the shrine house.
"It's for the best." Haru told her. "If she were to run off, someone could see her and there would be a lot of questions to answer."
Then they reached the base of the stone steps, a the tall priestess felt a strange presence.
"Toka, do you feel that?" she asked her childhood friend as Kira started to growl lowly.
"Yes." the glasses wearer replied, looking up at the top of the many stairs. "Demons. Judging by the feeling, I say three or four of them."
"You and Kira come with me." Haru said. "Everyone else stay here."
"But..."
"If we're not back down in ten minutes, come up." the ravenette stated, cutting off Makoto. "Let's go."
Toka and Kira nodded their heads before they followed the water priestess up the steps.
"I don't see anything." the lighting priestess remarked as she, the other priestess, and large canine slowly walked towards the shrine house, their hands on their katana handles.
"Be on guard." Haru told her. "The presence is getting stronger."
Then one of Kira's ears twitched. Curling her lips back, she looked towards a nearby bush and growled at it.
"Something's there." Toka stated the obvious.
Then a rustling noise was heard from the bush. The two priestesses drew out their katanas and got into position, waiting. After a few, long moments, the rustling came to an abrupt stop. However, the girls and dog didn't relax. Suddenly, a flash of brown and white burst out of the bush and collided with Kira.
"Kira!" Haru shouted when her familiar tumble to the side with the brown and white blur.
When she stopped, the large canine found herself laying on the ground with another, slightly larger dog standing over her. The other canine had brown and white fur, the top part being brown while the rest of his lower body and face were white, and black eyes, a small patch of brown fur was under both of his eyes. His lips were curled back into a snarl, revealing his sharp, white fangs.
"A dog?" Toka questioned.
"More like dog demon." Haru said, feeling the canine's demonic aura. "But he's not alone." she added. "Move!"
The two priestess quickly jumped away, just as a black tentacle slammed into the spot they were standing at not to long ago.
"A shadow user?" the light priestess thought aloud.
Kira looked up at the other dog on top of her and growled lowly. Then she opened her mouth and bit into the leg that was closet to her. The brown and white dog yelped in pain as he got off of the female. Kira released his leg and ran over to the two girls, standing in front of them protectively.
"Whoever you are, show yourself now." Haru demanded. "We're going to find you anyway, might as well show your face to save us some time."
At first, it was silent. Then a rustling sound was heard and someone step out from behind a tree.
It was a tall, handsome young man with black hair and teal eyes.
"Yo." he greeted.
The brown and white dog went over to the young man.
"Who the hell are you?" Haru asked in monotone, staring at him blankly.
"The name's Yamazaki Sousuke." the man replied, petting the large canine for a moment. "And this is Ginjirou."
The dog barked.
'He's demonic aura is quite strong.' Toka thought to herself. 'But I can feel more nearby.'
"I highly doubt it's just you and that dog here." the ravenette said. "Where are the rest of your buddies?" she asked.
"You're smarter then I thought you would be." Sousuke remarked.
Then two more, tall handsome young men appeared out of thin air and stood on either side of the tallest demon.
One of them had blue hair, violet eyes, and was wearing red glasses. The other one had pink hair and violet blue eyes.
"Hi!" the pink haired young man greeted cheerfully. "I'm Shigino Kisumi."
"Ryugazaki Rei." the one with blue hair introduced himself.
'Their demonic auras...' Toka thought to herself. 'They're all strong in their own way.'
"You demons are all really brave, or stupid to attack a priestess at her own shrine house." Haru remarked.
"You have something, or should I say someone, that we want." Rei stated, pushing up his glasses.
"Give him to us and we might not hurt you too much." Sousuke threatened.
"Now, now, Sousuke, you should be gentle when it comes to ladies." Kisumi told him. "Especially since they're both so lovely."
"For some reason, that pisses me off." the ravenette said.
"Same here." Toka agreed. "Do you think they're here for Rin-kun?" she whispered/asked.
"Pretty sure about that." Haru replied. "They could be working for Esdeath."
"Well?" the black haired demon spoke up. "We don't have all day."
"Sorry but, I really don't feel like giving him to you." the tall priestess told him. "Even if he is a pain in the ass."
"I see..." was all Sousuke said. "In that case..." he held up his hand and a black katana sword materialized in it from the shadows that were nearby. "I'll have to kill you."
As soon as he said that, the young man suddenly shot forward. Haru held up her katana, just in time to block his own. However, she got pushed back from the sudden force.
"Haru-chan!" Toka yelled.
The ravenette was able to regain her footing and stand still, pushing against Sousuke.
"I'm fine." she called to the other priestess. "I'll take care of him. Can you and Kira handle the others?"
"Yes." the light brown haired young woman replied.
Kira and Ginjirou looked at each other and growled, their fur standing on ends. Then they charged at one another, soon colliding as they bite and scratched each other.
"Must we fight each other?" Kisumi asked, looking at the lighting priestess. "I would hate to hurt a bespectacled beauty such as yourself."
"Kisumi-san, please get your mind out of the gutter." Rei said.
Toka took the chance and quickly shot forward, her katana cackling with yellow electricity.
"Woah!" the two demons exclaimed as they dodged the sword's blade when she slashed it at them.
"It seems talking won't work." Rei remarked.
Then he held up his hand and over a dozen of sharp crystals, all glowing a bright purple, appeared around them. Then they started moving towards to the priestess at quick speed.
Toka held her katana out in front of her. Lighting bolts shot from the tip of it and heading towards the crystals. When they made contact, the gems exploded into tiny pieces.
"Dammit..." Rei cursed silently.
"My turn." Kisumi said.
He held up both of his hands and two large boulders shot up from the ground.
'Haru-chan's not going to like what he did to her yard.' Toka mentally remarked.
When she saw the boulders being flung at her, she quickly moved out of the way. Suddenly, she felt something slash across her arm.
'Dammit!' the light brown haired young woman mentally cursed as she jumped away from Rei, who now had a rapier in his hand. The blood from the cut that was made from the weapon stained her haori a bit. 'They're a bit more stronger than I originally thought.' a small smile appeared on her face. 'I'm getting excited now.' she raised her hand and took off her glasses and put them away, the same smile on her face as her eyes shined with determination.
"Such a lovely expression." Kisumi complimented.
"I can't help but make this face." Toka told him. "I always get excited whenever I fight a strong opponent."
"So cool..." was all the pink haired young man said. "I think I've fallen in love."
"Focus!" Rei yelled at him.
"Here I come!" the lighting priestess shouted before she charged at them.
She slashed her katana at the blue haired demon, who quickly blocked her. Rei pulled back and thursted the sharp point of the sword at the young woman's chest. Toka held her katana out in front of her, the blade in a horizontal position. The rapier's point was blocked by the blade.
"Got you right where I want you." Toka remarked, smirking.
Rei gasped when he saw electricity cackle around the katana. Before he could to anything, the electricity traveled from the katana, to the rapier, and to the blue haired demon.
"Rei!" Kisumi yelled when he saw his friend get electrocuted and then fall to the ground, unconscious.
He cursed when he saw Toka heading towards him. He quickly held up his hand and a large boulder appeared in front of him, acting as a shield. Suddenly, he felt something sharp being slashed across his back. He cried out in pain as he fell to the ground, his shirt being stained from the blood that was coming from the cut on his back.
"This attack might not have worked on Haru-chan..." Toka started to say as she stood over the male demon. "But it did for you."
"You sure are something." Kisumi remarked, a weak smile on his face.
Not saying anything, the light brown haired young woman placed the tip of her katana on his neck. This she sent a jolt of lighting to shock him, not enough to kill him but to knock him out. Then the sound of a canine yelping in pain reached her ears. Turning around quickly, Toka saw Ginjirou laying on the ground with long claw marks on his side.
"Good job, Kira." the lighting priestess complimented the black dog. "I bet he didn't except you to be able to send purifying energy to your claws."
Kira barked.
Haru grunted as she blocked the blade of the black haired demon's katana.
"I have to admit, you're stronger than I thought you would be." Sousuke remarked.
"Right back at you." the ravenette said in monotone. "Toka and Kira have already taken care of your friends. Why not given up now while you have the chance?"
"Not interested." the young man retorted.
Then Haru saw a slight ripple in his shadow. A black tentacle soon shot up from the shadow and headed straight for her. The young woman quickly jumped out of it's line of attack.
'His ability to control shadows is quite troublesome.' Haru thought as she landed a few feet away.
Water then gathered around her ankles. Holding up her hand, the ravenette aimed it on Sousuke. Soon, two water tentacles shot up from the water around her and quickly moved towards him. The black haired young man cursed as he held his arms and crossed them in front of his. One of the water tentacles collided with him, pushing him back a few feet.
When the water disappeared, Sousuke put his arms down and opened his eyes, which had closed when he was hit by the water. Then his eyes widened when they saw the water priestess only a few feet away from him, her katana pulled back.
"Shit!" the male demon yelled as he jumped into the air, dodging the slash of her sword just in time.
When he jumped, Haru looked up and saw he was flying in the air with large, bat-like wings on his back.
"That's not fair." she complained, her eyebrows furrowing slightly as she pouted. "Kira!" she called to her dog. "Can you go and get my bow and arrows, please?" she requested.
The large canine barked as she ran towards the shrine.
"Haru-chan, look out!" Toka shouted.
The ravenette jumped away, just as a black tentacle slammed into the spot was standing at a moment ago. When she saw more tentacles coming at her, she stuck her katana into the ground and a water barrier immediately surrounded her. The tentacles collided with the barrier and bounced off. However, they continued to beat against it.
"You can't keep that barrier up forever." Sousuke said, stilling in the air.
Haru gritted her teeth together and grunted when she felt her barrier waver.
"Haru-chan!" Toka cried.
Pulling her katana back, the lighting priestess rushed forward. When she was close enough, she jumped into the air, heading straight for Sousuke.
"Raikiri!" Toka yelled, her whole body and katana sword cackling with electricity as she slashed it at the male demon.
However, Sousuke was able to dodge the attack and moved out of the way, making the light brown haired young woman sail past him. Toka cursed as she landed on the ground. Suddenly, when she turned around, something wrapped around one of her ankles. The light brown haired young woman yelped when felt her body being lifted into the air and found herself being held upside down.
"Geez!" Toka, her face a light shade of pink, yelled as she tried to keep her skirt down so her panties wouldn't be seen. "Put me down!" she demanded.
"With pleasure." Sousuke said, a small smirk appeared on his face.
Suddenly, the lighting priestess felt herself being lifted up higher into the air. Then she was quickly slammed into the ground.
"Toka!" Haru yelled when she saw her friend laying motionlessly on the ground.
Dropping the water barrier, the ravenette quickly rushed over to the other priestess.
"Toka! Are you alright?" she asked as she knelt down beside the light brown haired young woman, lifting her up in her arms.
Toka didn't make any reply, her eyes were closed and her body was completely still. But what caught Haru's attention the most was the blood that was flowing from her head. The ravenette felt her body tremble slightly from rage.
"You son of a bitch..." she started to say as she gently placed her childhood friend on the ground. She stood up, turned around, and darkly glared up at Sousuke. "I'm going to kill you." she vowed.
'This killing intent...' the black haired demon thought to himself, his whole body stiffening from her glare. 'It's off the charts. And her glare, this chick is completely serious.' he silently gulped, feeling a bit scared at the moment.
At that moment, Kira came back with a wooden bow and a couple of arrows in her mouth.
"Thank you, Kira." Haru said as she took the weapons from her dog.
Kira saw Toka's unconscious body, looked up at the male demon and growled loudly at him, a dark look entering her purple eyes.
"Yeah, I know." the ravenette priestess said as she loaded one of her arrows. "I'm just about to kill the bastard." she told her as she pulled back the string of the bow and aimed it at Sousuke. Then she released the string, sending the arrow flying.
"Shit!" the black haired young man exclaimed as he quickly moved to the side, dodging the arrow. Suddenly, a burning sensation was felt in his right wing. He looked and saw that another arrow had been shot into his wing. Sousuke cried out in pain when he felt it being purified by the spiritual energy that was in the arrow. He grabbed the arrow, his hand getting burned for a second before he pulled it out and quickly threw it away. He lowered himself to the ground due his wing being injured.
Suddenly, a fist made contact with his chin, sending him into the air. Then Haru jumped in the air and kicked Sousuke in the stomach with both of her feet, sending him crashing into the ground. The black haired demon let out a breathless gasp, feeling the air leave his body. Haru jumped off him and landed a few feet away.
'I-Is she really this strong?' Sousuke mentally questioned as he tried to catch his breath.
The ravenette walked over and stood over him, her katana in hand, as she stared at him coldly.
"Go to hell." was all she said as she raised her sword up.
Then, just as she was about to plunge the blade into Sousuke's head, someone got in front of him. Haru froze, the tip of her katana stopping just a few inches away from Rin's face.
"Rin..." the ravenette started to say, pulling her sword back. "What are you doing?" she asked.
"Stopping you from killed Sousuke." the demon prince retorted.
"You know this jackass?"
"This jackass is my best friend."
"Wait, what?"
After all of that, inside the house
"We are very sorry!" Toka, who's head was healed thanks to Makoto, and Haru apologized in unison as they, along with Kira, bowed down, on their hands and knees, in front of the four demons, who were also all healed because of of the healer.
Everyone was sitting in the living room area.
"We had no idea that you were friends of Rin-kun." the light brown haired young woman said.
"Ah, no, we should be the ones to apologize." Rei told them.
"We thought you were holding Rin captive and attacked you to rescue him." Kisumi explained, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
"If that was the case, we would have lost anyway." Sousuke spoke up. "I nearly died."
"Yeah, sorry about that." Haru apologized as she and the other priestess sat up on their knees. "We thought you were working for Esdeath and trying to kidnap Rin."
"Understandable." the black haired young man said. Then he looked at the olive green haired girl. "Makoto was it?" he questioned. "Thanks for healing my wing."
"Oh, no problem." Makoto told him, smiling brightly at him. "It's just what I do."
Sousuke was slightly taken a back from her smile. Then he looked away from her. Kisumi mentally snickered when he saw the light blush on his friend's face.
"Are you all princes like Onii-chan?" Kokoro asked, still holding onto the baby horned rabbit.
"No, I'm more like his bodyguard." Sousuke said.
"I'm Rin-sama's adviser." Rei informed. "And trust me, it's not easy teaching him." he added.
"Hey!" Rin shouted, annoyed.
"What about you, Kisumi-kun?" Toka asked the pink haired demon.
"Well, what I do is mostly give him advice on women." Kisumi answered, grinning brightly while giving a thumbs-up.
All the females stared at him blankly.
"Ignore him, he's an idiot perv." Sousuke told them.
"So mean!" the pink haired young man complained.
"Ginjirou here is Rin's guard dog." the black haired young man said, pointing his thumb to the brown and white dog. "Oh, and another thing."
Putting his hand on Rin's head, Sousuke made him bow down along with him and the rest of the male demons.
"Thank you so much for looking after this stupid brat!" all the boys, except the demon prince and dog, said gratefully in unison.
"What?!" the redheaded boy exclaimed.
"We are also very sorry for the trouble he has caused for you." Rei apologized, sitting up straight on his knees with the others.
"Don't apologize for me!" Rin yelled.
"It's fine." Haru told them in monotone. "Even though he was a pain in the ass, I was able to tolerate him."
"Why you..." the thirteen year old boy growled through his teeth, glaring at the priestess.
"He is hard to deal with." Sousuke said. "Since he's so selfish, rude, and a downright tsundere."
"I disagree with that last one!" Rin shouted.
"Anyway..." the black haired young man started to say. Then grabbed his childhood friend and held him under his arm. "We'll be taking him back to the Demon World now." he announced, standing up with the others. "Thanks again for keeping an eye on him. And sorry for attacking you."
"Hey, wait a second!" the thirteen year old yelled as Sousuke started to carry him away.
"Please wait!" Kokoro called. "You can't take Onii-chan back just yet." she told them.
"And why not?" Kisumi asked.
"Because of his current state, Rin-kun won't be able to defend himself properly." Toka explained. "And I doubt you can watch him every second of the day."
"Not to worry." Rei spoke up. "I'll just find a spell that will turn him back to normal." he said confidentially, pushing up his glasses.
"Good luck with that." Haru said. "Because the only way for him to regain his true form is if the demon who placed the curse on him dies. And I highly doubt you can all take Esdeath on by yourselves."
The boys didn't say anything, knowing she was right.
"But there is a way for him to temporary regain his form." Nagisa informed.
"How?" Sousuke asked as the boy under his arm turned a bright shade of red.
"Onee-chan." Kokoro said, looking at her older cousin.
Haru sighed, getting what she meant.
"I think it would be better to show you than tell you." she stated, standing up.
Then, walking over to the group, the ravenette bent down, grabbed Rin's face, and kissed him.
"Eh?!" Rei and Kisumi exclaimed in unison.
Ginjirou had a look of shock on his face.
'She's into little boys?' Sousuke mentally questioned, taken aback as well.
Then a bright, white light surrounded the demon prince, causing everyone to cover their eyes. When the light disappeared, the thirteen year old boy was now seventeen.
"Incredible!" the blue haired demon shouted in amazement. "So the story of spiritual magic turning a demon back to it's true form was real."
"Yup." Haru said as she pulled away from Rin. "And it can only be done through intimate acts, like kissing, for some reason."
"Put me down already." the redheaded young man demanded, looking up at his childhood friend.
"Alright." Sousuke said before he dropped the prince to the floor.
"You douchebag..." Rin groaned, his words mumbled because his face was in the floor.
"How long will he stay like this?" Kisumi asked.
"For a few minutes, at the most." Haru replied.
"Yeah, he should be turning back in about seven minutes." Nagisa said, looking at the watch on her wrist.
"Anyway, Kokoro..." the ravenette to say, looking at her cousin. "It's time to send that demon home."
"Okay..." the violet haired girl said sadly.
"Rin, you said you could send her directly back home." Haru stated, looking at the demon prince, who was now standing up.
"Yeah, I can." Rin replied.
"What do you plan to do, Onii-chan?" Kokoro asked.
"I can summon a portal that can make sure that she can get to exactly where her family is." Rin explained.
"Really?"
"Yeah, just let me hold her so it can work better."
"Okay." Kokoro said as she handed the young horned rabbit to the demon prince.
Holding the small demon in one hand, Rin held up his other hand, closed his eyes, and slowly exhaled. Then a magic circle, glowing red, appeared under him as his whole body glowed a light red. A portal appeared out of thin air in front of the demon prince.
The girls, inculding Kira, were all stared with looks of amazement. Even Haru had a look on her face that showed she was slightly impressed.
Then an image of forest appeared in the portal. In the forest, two adult horned rabbits with a small litter of younger ones.
"Alright..." Rin started to say, kneeling down and gently setting the small demon in front of the portal. "Time for you to go home."
The young horned rabbit mewed softly before she stepped through the portal a rejoined her family. The portal soon closed and the magic circle disappeared.
"Wow, Onii-chan, that was incredible!" Kokoro declared, looking up at the demon prince with shining eyes.
"You certainly have many skills, Rin-kun." Toka complimented.
"It was nothing." the redheaded young man said, despite have a smug look on his face.
'He enjoys praise too much.' the three male demon thought in unison, sweatdropping from their friend's expression.
Even Ginjirou was shaking his head from the look on his owner's face.
"What did you think of that, Haru?" Rin asked, looking over at the ravenette.
Haru stared at him blankly at him for a moment. Then she turned her head away. "Big deal." she said in monotone. "I've seen magicians do the same thing with smoke and mirrors."
The redheaded young man flinched from what she just said.
"You could at least pretend to be impressed!" he yelled at her.
"Is the great Demon Prince sad that his little party trick didn't impress everyone?" Haru asked in a somewhat innocent manner.
The others snickered as the demon prince started to tremble with anger.
"You bitch..." Rin said mostly to himself. "I'll freaking kill you!" he declared, his hand catching on fire.
"Oh, he's mad now." Sousuke remarked.
"If you think you can, then go ahead." Haru dared, staring at him coolly as she crossed her arms under her chest.
The redheaded young man growled through his teeth as he glared at her. Then, before he could do anything, a bright light surrounded him. When it disappeared, the demon prince was now back in his cursed form.
"Dammit all!" Rin yelled angrily.
"How unfortunate." the tall priestess said.
"Don't act so high and mighty!" the thirteen year old told her. "Just you wait and see, when I'm back as my real self, I'll kick your ass!"
"You? Kick my ass?" Haru questioned. Then, to some of the others surprise, a small smile of amusement made it's way onto her face. "How cute." she remarked as she walked up to Rin. "You say that, but..." she paused for a moment, bending down closer to his eye level. "You can barely defend yourself in this state." she said, flicking him on the forehead. "You're a hundred years too earlier to even be thinking about kicking my ass, little boy." she told him, standing up straight.
Rin open his mouth, but he couldn't think of anything to say. His face turned a dark shade of red from both anger and embarrassment, holding his hands to his forehead.
"Y-You jerk!" he yelled, turning around and running out of the room.
"And, he's gone." Nagisa said.
"Haru, don't you think you were a bit too harsh on Rin?" Makoto asked.
"I just wanted him to shut up." Haru told her.
"I like this woman." Sousuke stated. "She knows when to put Rin in his place."
"She is most certainly not an ordinary girl." Rei remarked.
"And she's drop dead gorgeous." Kisumi commented. "And her friends are beautiful, too."
"Only you care about that right now." the black haired demon said. An idea then came into his head. "Hey, Haru."
"What?" the ravenette asked.
"Let us live with you."
"Say what?"
Later that night, at dinner time
"Itadakimasu!"
"So, tell me again why you want to move into my house." Haru said, sitting at the dinner table with the other girls and male demons.
The two canines were having their meal on the floor.
"So we can keep an eye on Rin." Sousuke told her. "Since I'm his bodyguard, it makes sense I'm where he is to protect him."
"Don't get us wrong." Rei spoke up. "You are more than capable of defending yourself and protecting Rin-sama. We just think it's best to have an extra set of hands just in case."
"Who cares about that?" the ravenette questioned. "I'm more worried about how much it's going to cost to have more mouths to feed."
"So she worries about that kind of stuff, huh?" Sousuke questioned.
"Haru does get a bit concerned when it comes to living expenses." Makoto said.
"I think you should let them stay with you, Haru-chan." Nagisa told the priestess. "It's not everyday you get to live with handsome guys."
"Where do you see handsome guys?" the ravenette asked. "All I see are demons who are going to bleed me dry."
"That's hurtful." the three young men said in unison.
"Don't take it so personally." Toka spoke up. "Haru-chan's just never really shown much interest in guys."
"So she swings for the other team?" Sousuke questioned.
"You want me to hurt you?" Haru asked in monotone, staring at the male demon coldly.
"No, I'm sorry, I take back what I said." the black haired young man immediately apologized.
The ravenette just 'hmped' as she went back to eating her mackerel.
"The food you made is really delicious, Haru-chan." Kisumi complimented.
"Out of all of us, Haru's the best at cooking." Makoto stated. "It's a talent she got from her father."
"Onee-chan would make a good wife someday." Kokoro commented. "Don't you think so, Onii-chan?" she asked the thirteen year old, who was silent the entire time.
"Hardly." Rin replied.
"Aw, don't be like that." the violet haired girl said. "Onee-chan would be a terrific wife. She's smart, strong, good at cooking and cleaning, and is really beautiful."
The redheaded boy scoffed. "I know toad demons who are pretty than her." he remarked.
Suddenly, he screamed in pain when a pair of chopsticks pinched a small piece of skin on the back of his hand.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Rin." Haru apologized in monotone, her face expressionless. "I mistook your hand for mackerel."
"How can you make a mistake like that?!" Rin exclaimed, comical tears falling from his eyes. "Let go already!"
"Oh, right." was all the ravenette said as she released the younger boy. "Anyone want pudding for dessert?" she asked as she stood up, collecting the plates.
"I do, I do!" Kokoro immediately replied, her two strands of hair twitching.
The demon males all accepted the offer.
"We'll help you carry them out." Toka said, standing up with the other girls and following the ravenette into the kitchen.
"You should really think before you speak." Sousuke said when the girl's were out of earshot, looking at the demon prince.
"Shut up." Rin ordered, rubbing the back of his hand.
"Are you still mad at Haruka-san for what she said to you earlier?" Rei questioned.
The thirteen year old didn't make any reply.
"Bull's eye." Kisumi said. "I thought it was hilarious how the great Demon Prince was put in his place by an amazing woman like Haru-chan." he added.
"Shut it!" Rin yelled. "What's so great about her? Just because she has long legs, a small waist, big boobs, and a naturally pretty face, doesn't mean she's all that!"
The three male demons stared at the young boy for a while.
"You've fallen for her, haven't you?" Sousuke said, pointing an accusing finger at his childhood friend.
"Eh?!" the redheaded boy exclaimed. "N-N-No I haven't!" he denied.
"I have to disagree." Rei stated, pushing up his glasses. "You must certainly have the face of a man, or boy, who has fallen in love."
"If you want, I'll be happy to give you advice." Kisumi offered.
Rin didn't say anything, his face turning as his hair.
"What are you guys talking about?" Haru asked, walking back into the room with the other girls, each of them carrying a small bowl of pudding.
"Oh, we're discussing how Rin has fal-"
"Shut up!" the demon prince yelled, cutting of Sosuke. Then he looked at the ravenette. "And just to make things clear, I hate you, you emotionless, cold bitch of a priestess!" he shouted before dashing out of the room.
"What was that all about?" Makoto asked.
"I think we just saw Onii-chan's tsun tsun side." Kokoro remarked. "What should we do with his pudding?" she questioned.
As everyone carried on with whatever they were talking about, Haru started at the spot Rin was standing before he left the room, a slight look of confusion on her face.
"Hey, Sousuke..." she started to say.
"Yeah?" the black haired demon asked.
"Can you tell me something?"
Later, inside the bathhouse
'Man, today was tiring.' Rin thought to himself, soaking in the warm water of the hot spring. 'To think Sousuke, Ginjirou, Kisumi, and Rei would come here. Plus, they nearly got killed by Haru, Kira, and Toka. They're definitely not normal girls.' then an image of the water priestess entered his mind. He remembered how his friends had accused him of falling for her. 'No, I definitely haven't!' he mentally declared, shaking his head for a moment.
Suddenly, the demon prince was pulled from his thoughts when he heard the door slide open.
"Yo." Haru, who was wearing nothing but a towel, greeted in monotone.
Rin's face turned as red as his hair from seeing the young woman is basically naked again.
"W-What are you going here?" he asked.
"Bathing." the ravenette replied as if it was the most obvious thing ever.
"Couldn't you have waited until I was done?" the redheaded boy questioned.
"I actually wanted to talk to you about something." Haru told him, ignoring his question, as she removed her towel and got into the water.
'And she's completely ignoring me.' Rin thought to himself, trying not to look at her.
However, it was very hard to do, and he soon found himself turning his gaze towards her, more specifically her breasts.
'How and why are they so big?' the thirteen year old mentally questioned.
"Enjoying the view?" Haru asked when she noticed his staring.
"Shut up!" Rin yelled, blushing madly from the face he got caught. "You said you wanted to talk to me about something. So what is it?"
"I wanted to apologize."
"Eh?"
"I'm sorry for the things that said to you earlier." the ravenette told him. "I was a little too harsh on you."
The redheaded boy didn't say anything as he stared at the priestess, not expecting her to apologize.
"I-I guess it's alright." he said. "I-I'm also sorry for saying all of those mean things to you back there. I don't really hate you..." he admitted softly, blushing from embarrassment.
"I see..." was all Haru said. Then, much to the young boy's surprise, she threw a rare, small smile at him. "I'm glad to hear that."
Rin's face turned a dark shade of red, his heart beating much faster than usual. 'I-I couldn't have fallen for her.' he thought to himself. 'There's no way, is there?'
"Rin..." the water priestess started to say, bringing the younger boy out of his thoughts. "There's something else I was wondering about."
"W-What is it?" the thirteen year old asked, gulping silently.
"Well, the thing is..." Haru paused for a moment, moving closer to him. "Do you wanna touch my breasts?" she asked bluntly, her face expressionless.
"Say what?" was all Rin said, thinking he misheard her.
"Do you wanna touch my breasts?" the ravnette repeated.
'I didn't mishear.' Rin thought to himself. He then started to stammer, trying to form an answer to the question.
'He looks pretty cute, looking all embarrassed and flustered.' Haru mentally commented. "If you're nervous, you don't have to." she told him.
"I'm not nervous!" the redheaded boy denied.
"Then why aren't you answering?" the young woman asked.
"I'm confused." Rin replied. "W-Why would you let me touch your..." he trailed off, the blush on his face darkening.
"My breasts." Haru finished his sentence. "Well, I've noticed you've been staring at them quite a bit today. Plus, there was what happened the other day in my room." she told him.
The thirteen year old didn't say anything, kinda wishing he was dead right now.
"So, I just figured that if you touch them, you'll get out of your system."
"What kind of logic is that?"
"It's better than you trying to do it when I'm asleep." Haru pointed out.
"She kinda has a point." Rin thought.
"Do you not want to?" the ravenette asked.
'Well, I would be lying if I said that I didn't feel like it." the redheaded boy mentally remarked. "A-Are you sure it's okay?" he asked.
"Yeah." the young woman replied.
The thirteen year old was hesitant to touch the larges mounds that were in front of him.
"You know..." Haru started to say. "A real man would have touched them by now." she told him, a slight teasing glint in her eyes and voice.
'A real man?!' Rin mentally exclaimed, annoyed from her statement. 'I'll show her!'
"Oh." the ravenette said when the younger boy suddenly leapt at her.
The he placed his hands on her breasts.
'W-Wow...' the demon prince thought. 'So soft.' he mentally remarked, squeezing them a little.
"Enjoying yourself?" Haru asked bluntly, a small red blush on her face.
"S-Shut up..." Rin ordered, his face dark red, still feeling a bit annoyed that she accused him of not being a man.
"Hey, Rin..." the water priestess spoke up.
"W-What?" the redheaded boy asked.
"Does this remind you of your mother at all?"
"Wha?"
The duo sat in silence at they stared at each other, one staring blankly while the other stared with an expression of disbelief.
"What the hell?!" Rin yelled. "What do you mean if this reminds me of my mother?!" he exclaimed.
"I asked Sousuke how close you were to your mother, and he said you're a mama's boy." Haru explained.
'That bastard!' the thirteen year old mentally yelled.
"I also heard you say 'Mom' in your sleep the other day." the ravenette told him.
Rin's face turned as red as his hair. "Shut up, shut up, shut up..." he mumbled repeatedly, his head bowed down in embarrassment.
"It's okay, Rin." Haru reassured him, patting his head.
"Are you telling me that the whole reason you did this is because..." the redheaded boy trailed off.
"I wanted to remind you of your mother, since I thought you must miss her while you're here." Haru stated.
The demon didn't say anything as he stared at the ravenette incredulously.
"Well, I don't know about you, but I'm going to bed." Haru said as she stood up.
Then she got out of the hot spring, picked up her towel and wrapped it around her body. She walked over to the door and slid it open.
"Goodnight, Rin." the ravenette told the younger boy, looking at him from over her shoulder for a moment before she walked out, sliding the door close behind her.
Rin just stayed where he was and stared at the door.
'I really don't get girls nowadays!' he mentally yelled.
To be continued...
Done with the chapter. Sorry for the wait. I hope you enjoyed it and please leave a review, telling me what you thought about it. Also, I hope you don't think of Haru as some kind of slut or whore, she's just really naive and innocence when it comes to stuff like this. I already have some of chapter three written. I'll try to post it soon. Again, I hope you all liked the chapter. Until next time.
