"Congratulations. Cadets of the 104th Training corps are officially graduated!" A cheer arises from the crowd as they congratulate each other and make their way to the dining hall to celebrate. Akita stays off to the side while everyone socializes. Thomas is talking to Eren and raises his voice drawing attention. Akita glances over to see what looks like an Argument. "Why would you join the Survey Corps? You got in the top ten. You should go to the Military Brigade!" Eren snorts "When I joined I had every intention of joining the Survey Corps, getting in the top ten doesn't change a thing." Eren stalks out and Mikasa and Armin follow him quickly out the door. Akita stays in her corner of the room silent and just observes the others reactions for the night.
It's the day after graduation and assignments are to be chosen for the newly graduated cadets that evening, and everyone is helping out with the Garrison corps until it is time. Akita is walking with Mikasa towards their stations, neither of the girls talking. As they begin to climb the stairs up to their section of the wall the main gate is destroyed by the Colossal Titan who quickly vanishes. Everyone scrambles to get to their positions and Akita follows Mikasa to meet up with Eren on their way. Akita lets Mikasa say her peace before she has to go to the elite guard. Akita walks over "Stay safe Eren…. You gotta come back so that all of us can go outside and explore" She smiles slightly as Eren grins "of course! I'm not going anywhere." He slaps her on the shoulder and she nods "Good… I'll see you later!" She hurries off to her squad and joins into the battle.
The retreat bell is sounded and Akita's group only had a few remaining members whom she had been separated from. Her gas tanks were on their last dregs and she managed to make it to where a cluster of people were trying to figure out what to do. The first people Akita notices are Jean and Connie before seeing Armin sitting against the wall staring at the ground. As she walks over Mikasa arrives and tries to figure out if anyone had seen Eren. Immediately Akita's heart drops. She knew that Eren and Armin wouldn't have gotten separated so easily, or at the very least Eren would have found Mikasa. After a moment, Armin speaks up and lists off the members of his squad, including Eren, fell in battle. Mikasa Rallies everyone and takes off rapidly across the town. After a few moments everyone else follows her across the city before she runs out of gas and veers off. Armin and Connie follow after her while Akita, also upset by the news of Erens death, follows on with the others in their attempt to reclaim the base.
Several people died on the suicide run to the building much to Jean's distress. Mikasa, Armin, and Connie are no were to be seen and there are Titans in the supply room preventing them from accessing the tanks. Two titans break the wall and it dawns on everyone, there are too many people in one spot, of course they were going to be found and surrounded. Akita looks around biting her lip, they couldn't go down because of titans in the supply room, but if they stayed where they were they would no doubt be eaten by the titans looking in. Suddenly time slows to a stop as a fist appears to slowly connect with one of the two titans peering in. A titan with long hair and pointed features roars a battle cry as he engages with the other Titans and three faces no one expected to see again break through a window, Mikasa, Armin, and Connie. A breath Akita didn't realize she held is released and she hurries over and hugs them tightly. She didn't lose her remaining friends, and the only thing that would make it better would be for Eren to be somehow alive and with them.
Well… Ummm I do hope this is enjoyed…. I got one review which made me keep going because It was my first ever review from anyone since I started trying fanfiction writing in middle school! Thank you IKhandoZatman for your simple review, it meant a lot to me. I apologize if it got weird…. I wrote most of this on ZERO sleep for the last 24hours…. I will try and make the chapters longer as I continue T.T
