Lily tucked her hair behind her ear and winked at James. James smiled back and turned to Sirius.
"I'll bet you ten galleons that Lily will say yes this time." He said to Sirius. Sirius laughed.
"Easiest ten galleons I'll ever make." He smirked and held out his hand for James to shake. With that, James jumped up and ran over to Lily.
"What was the bet?" She asked quietly, glancing at Sirius, who was watching intently.
"Ten galleons that you'd say yes." James responded, laughing softly. Lily nodded.
"Go on, pretty boy," She smirked. "Ask me."
"Lily," James said a little louder. "Will you go out with me?" He asked. Lily giggled and her eyes sparkled. She nodded toward Sirius very slightly. James didn't turn around yet.
"I guess so, James." Lily smirked. James grinned happily. Lily kissed him quickly before releasing him to collect his winnings.
"What the hell?" Sirius said when he got back. Remus laughed as Sirius handed James his money.
"That wasn't much of a bet, James." He smiled. "You two have been dating for a month now, haven't you?"
