Our First Day

*Elizabeth*

I got up the next morning, the first morning of being Mrs. Turner, to find my discarded night gown. Last night's events kept popping up in my head and I couldn't keep the smile off my face. 'Today I'm going to make Will's favorite breakfast; waffles with banana slices and syrup.' On my way to the kitchen I stopped the bathroom to comb through my hair. That's when I heard the glass shatter. Then there were a couple of thunks; it sounded like there was an elephant in our bedroom. I firmly grasped the comb and ran to the bedroom. Upon throwing the door open I saw Will being man handled by a HUGE, of course, pirate. When I stepped into the room, Will tried to tell me something but he was gagged so I didn't understand him. I realized what he was trying to get at when someone came up behind me and it so I was incapable of moving. But I'm no helpless woman; I thrust my arm forward and elbowed him in the gut. When he doubled over in pain, I was able to scratch my comb across his face. It made quite a good mark, if I do say so myself. Unfortunately, there were several more of these huge men and one hit me in the head with the butt of his gun, knocking me out cold. The last thing I remember thinking is 'damn pirates!'

Elizabeth! Seeing these men hit the love of my life gave me new strength. I drew my leg up and slammed it into my captor's groin. He bent over at the waist, letting my hands go and I slid across the floor to my dear Elizabeth. Taking the gag out of my mouth, I started talking to Elizabeth, hoping with all my might that she could hear me. "Elizabeth! Can you hear me? You have to wake up! Get u-"my previous man handler re-gagged me and bound my hands behind me. He picked me back up onto my feet and told one of the other pirates to pick up Elizabeth. They were non to gentle about it either. Was that blood on her forehead? Before I could get a good look, another pirate (there seem to be hundreds of them in our tiny little house), put a small cloth over my nose and mouth; I was unconscious in a snap.
