Tony got back around ten in the morning. His friend Clint was following after him. He had gotten drunk so Clint took him in and let him crash at his place. Even though Tony insisted he could make it home his friend drove after him.

When he drove in he signed with relief. That fuckin cat was gone! Thank god! He stepped from this car and slammed the door. Clint followed suit and laughed when his door hit the car hard enough to be heard a block away. "Jesus Clint, I have neighbors."

"Just wanted to make sure, dude."

"Yeah, you can leave now," Tony waved his hand in a motion that was supposed to mean go away but Clint didn't get it. He just walked up to his friends house and waited for him to unlock the door. "Uh, why are you staying?"

"You crashed at my house, give me lunch. And it can't be crappy," he leaned against the door until Tony sighed and unlocked it. "Fine, but I always make lunch at twelve thirty."

"Than I'm staying till one, looks like," he made his way to the living room and Tony headed to his kitchen for a snack. "You got a cat and didn't tell me? You know I love 'em!" Clint squealed (in a manly enough way) from the other room. "What? I didn't get any effin' cat," Tony charged into his living room letting the cupboard slam.

Clint was laying on the floor petting a cat. Not just any cat, the one he'd seen last night. "Dude, that's bad luck. Did it cross your path?"

"You don't believe that shit, do you?" The cat purred loudly when he pet it's lower back. "Maybe," shoved shuffled from side to side. "So this isn't your cat?"

"No! I saw it last night but it was outside," Tony wanted to kick Clint nice and hard. "Feel him, he's soo soft!" Clint stroked the cat from his shoulders to his tail. "I'll pass," Tony started for the kitchen again. "I'll let them arrest you next time you get drunk!" Clint sang after him. "Fine," Tony growled back at his friend. He patted the cats head, the long for was soft but not pleasing for Tony. "No, stroke it," before Tony could say anything Clint grabbed his hand and forced him to bring it along the cats body.

Loki liked the fact the blond named Clint was petting him. He purred, the sensation was odd. Science would never find out how it worked. That made Loki feel golden. Out of nowhere his head was pressed downward sharply. He was going to growl until Clint said, "No, stroke it."

The arrogant buffoon actually pet him! He couldn't help but purr, if only Tony knew it was him. Soon the player would become the played. Loki wanted Tony to admire him sense he was told to do so. If this plan didn't work he might try Clint.

Clint smiled joyfully as he ate his slice of pizza. He got to take the cat home! He would love him forever. Clint had never been permitted the care of a living creature before, besides Tony but that didn't really count because he could make choices for himself.

"Can you stop smiling like an idiot," Tony glared at his friend from across the table. Loki rubbed against his legs making the brunette freeze. "I will sick my cat on you, Anthony Stark," man he liked calling the stray his! "It doesn't have a name yet."

"Things like that take time, Tony," Loki nipped at his grey socks. "Don't make him bite me!" Tony kicked Loki making him leap on his lap and paw his shirt with his claws. "No cats on the table," he grunted shoving Loki so he landed disgracefully on the floor. Stupid people. "Don't, you'll hurt him!" Clint beckoned Loki forward and gave him a piece of pepperoni off his pizza. He purred, food, real food! He really did like this Clint more. Now that he thought about he had heard the name before. Thor had mentioned someone name Clint. Maybe a friend of his? "I don't care if I hurt him," Tony shoved his last nite of pizza in his face. "I'm offended!"

"You're the one giving him fuckin digestion issues!" Clint guiltily put the hand that had been feeding the cat cheese on the table. Clint just finished eating his slice when Tony opened the door. He smiled smugly, "Now get out."

"I'm bringing my cat next time I come," Clint grabbed Loki gently and boosted him up on his shoulder. "Than you're not coming back!" Tony called as Clint opened his car door. "Yes I am, you'd miss me to much."

On the way to Clint's house the stopped by the local pet store. Loki stayed in the car but he didn't mind. The sun was nice and warm in his charcoal fur. He was planning a way to get back to Tony, maybe piss on his car. Hopefully Clint would let him be an outside cat.

When he returned Loki purred loudly. Mostly just to make Clint believe he loves him so he could get his way. "Hey, bud," Clint closed his door and let his cat. The bags he had he put them down on the floor of the passenger side. Loki wanted to know what he'd gotten, must be his cat brain at work.

Clint's house was huge, not as big as Anthony's but close. A Loki cat's dream. When inside Loki dug into the two bags when Clint set them down to hang up his jacket. "Hold your horses, there," the young man squatted down so he could be closer to his new cat. "I hope you'll like this, the lady said it was good for outdoor cats," Clint pulled out a large green bag of cat kibble. Than two small cans of wet food, maybe Loki could sneak some people food too. "This is for your business," he said almost to himself as a set down what was in the other bag. A giant few pounds of litter. "This is what I really wanted to show you," Clint pulled a small emerald green collar from the bag. It had some green sequence down the center of it and Loki thought he would look dashing in it. "Here," he clasped it around the black cat's neck. "Now you're officially mine."

Clint put water out for Loki, also a small bowl of wet food and a larger bowl of dry. He showed him where he should go to the bathroom. An old give inch high basket that was about the length and width of Loki. Loki's favorite thing was still his charming collar. He loved the tiny bell Clint added, his presence would finally be known.

That night Clint watched the movie 'The Grudge'. He almost fell over the back of the couch when a cat hissed. Loki growled back, he needed to be like a cat after all. Clint petted him, "Don't worry, I'll name you tomorrow."

When the movie was done Clint had fallen asleep. Loki awkwardly watched him for a bit. After an hour he leapt off the top of the couch and fell asleep on his new owners lap.
