Mulder was in a hospital bed, while Skully was stand by the bed, when he asked her, "Dana, after all you've seen, after all the evidence, why can't you believe?"
She sighed and sat down on his bedside.
"I'm afraid. I'm afraid to believe," she admitted, looking at him.
"You couldn't face that fear?"

It was a dismal night, as they stood in the hallway in front of each other. They were the only ones in the hallway.
"They're taking abductees. You're an abductee. I'm not going to risk losing you," he clarified for her. And it was true. He didn't want anything to happen to her.
For a moment, she just stood there, before going to stand closer to him. Then they hugged.
"I won't let you go alone," she told him.

Skully was in bed, holding their son, when Mulder came into the room. When he did, she got up and he met her in the middle of the room. Then, after a few moments of looking at their son, Mulder took him from Skully.
"What are you going to name him?" Mulder asked.
"William. After your father," she answered him.
After some talk about why some people had come to try and take William from them, he and Skully shared their first actually true kiss.
