Akatsuki Family: Part Two
As we entered the kitchen everyone else looked uncertainly in my direction, when Madara and Zetsu entered behind me. From the corner of my eye I saw Madara nod at the Akatsuki and everyone began talking and continued on with what they were doing.
"Are you hungry?" I asked Kazou, walking past him into the kitchen.
"Yes, I am," Kazou replied, sitting across the kitchen bench from me on one of the bar stools.
Rocking the young toddler back and forth in my arms, I looked in the pantry trying to figure out something to feed the young boy. Finding something, I turned and grabbed two pots and filled them both with water before putting them on the stove and turning them on. Placing the milk bottle in one of the pots, I grabbed a packet of instant pasta from the cupboard and began to read the instructions. As I was reading a set of golden eyes stared up at me, watching me carefully. Looking up from the packet and at the young toddler, I saw his eyes staring straight at me.
"Hello, little one," I whispered, setting the packet down and holding my hand over the toddler, causing him to reach up and grab hold of it.
"His name is Jotaro, he is..."Kazou began, before Zetsu covered his mouth and stopped him from talking.
I turned to Kazou seeing why he had suddenly stopped talking and froze, I stared at Zetsu and Kazou before glancing down at Jotaro before my thoughts wandered to the third child.
"You don't trust me, but you are letting me near your kids," I told Zetsu, Zetsu's eyes snapped to hers.
He stepped forwards, walking through the counter and stopping just before me. I refused to back up or show any weakness, but I was also super aware of Jotaro still in my arms.
"I don't trust you, but Jotaro and Kazou do," Zetsu told me, my eyes strayed from his to Jotaro looking up at me and Zetsu.
"I won't hurt them, they haven't done anything," I whispered, my eyes staying on Jotaro.
"Kazou, has killed someone...so has Adkira. They maybe young but they are Akatsuki, enemy of the Hidden Leaf Village," Zetsu replied.
"They are just kids, they shouldn't be around this kind of stuff," I answered, walking past Zetsu with Jotaro still in my arms and heading down the hallway towards the children's room.
Kazou was quick to follow, running after me trying his best to catch up with me.
"I don't want you to leave," Kazou told me, I turned to him and resisted the urge to sigh.
"I don't belong here, I'm an Akatsuki enemy," I replied, setting Jotaro down on to a bed and then sitting down next to him.
I closed my eyes and thought back to why I was in that forest to begin with, the truth was, I was no longer a member of the Leaf Village, I had probably been labelled as a traitor by now. I was a missing ninja, not one was looking for me and no one was coming to save me. I was all on my own.
"Sakura," Kazou asked.
"I'm going to stay," I told him, he jumped up and down on the spot in front of me.
I smiled gently and stood up, slowly making my way back to the living room where I'm sure everyone was still in. Stopping in the doorway, everyone turned in my direction and the room went quiet. Thinking what I was going to say, I thought for a minute before talking.
"I want to stay," I told them, untying my headband from my head and tossing it on to the table.
"Why?" Itachi asked, his sharingan watching my closely.
"I ran from the village, I've probably been labelled a traitor," I answered, Itachi raised an eyebrow in question.
"You didn't mention this before," Itachi replied.
"Kazou, hadn't asked me to stay before," I answered.
"Fine," Madara said, getting up from the couch and walking over to the table and picking up my headband.
I took a kunai from his leg pouch and scratched a line across the Hidden Leaf Village symbol, before handing it back to me. Taking my headband, I nodded and retied it on top of my head. Walking to the kitchen, I tipped the pasta into a the empty pot of boiling water and turned off the pot with the bottle and took the bottle out. holding the bottle upside down over my wrist, I let a drop land on my wrist and then returned to the kid's room with the bottle. Jotaro reached out for the bottle, sitting up on the bed. He tried to speak, but it only came out as a baby talk. I knelt down in front of him and held out the bottle, Jotaro took the bottle from me and held it to his mouth and began to drink. Looking at Adkira he was staring at the bottle which I had given Jotaro.
"Do you want something to eat?" I asked, the toddler nodded.
I stood up holding my hand out for him and then walking with him back to the kitchen, Kazou followed closely behind. Picking Adkira up I sat him on one of the bar stools and Kazou sat on one next to him. I took the instant pasta off the stove and set the whole pot down in the sink. Looking around in the cupboards, I found a strainer. Tipping the pasta into the strainer, I then tipped it into a plastic bowl. Mixing a packet of powder which had came with the pasta, I mixed it around with a fork from the draw and pushed it across the bench to Kazou. He smiled widely and began to quickly eat.
"Careful it will be hot," I quickly told him before he put the first folk full of pasta in his mouth.
Turning back to the cupboard, I looked inside surprised to find baby food, the Akatsuki kept baby food in the cupboard, the thought made me smile. Taking the baby food, I tipped it into another plastic bowl and took a spoon from the draw. I placed it down in front of Adkira and watched as he reached over to me and took the spoon from me as he began to eat the baby food with the grace and practice of someone at least twice his age. Leaving the two boys to eat, I returned to find that Jotaro had finished drinking the milk and was now sitting on the floor playing with his toys. As I entered the room, he looked up at me and smiled before continuing to play.
"He's mine," Someone said from behind me.
I turned to see Zetsu standing in the doorway; I nodded and looked back at Jotaro.
"I know, so is Adkira," I replied, watching the little boy look up at Zetsu and smile at him before getting up and walking past me to his father.
Zetsu rest his hand down on to Jotaro's head and let him lean against him, the boy was so much smaller than Zetsu and he looked so much different. The boy looked almost completely human, until Zetsu who looked like a plant, who was half white and half black.
"Dadddy," Jotaro whispered, tugging at his father's cloak and standing on his tippy toes to reach higher.
Zetsu scooped Jotaro up into his arms, he then began to sink into the floor and before Sakura knew it they were gone.
