We didn't stay in the warehouse for long. We were all hungry and crabby. We ended up going into town to buy a couple dozen hotdogs from a hotdog stand and then we proceeded onwards towards a corner store to buy a couple dozen packs of chocolate chip cookies. Store bought ones weren't as good, but baking wasn't anything any of us had the patience to learn.

I watched as a happy Gazzy wolfed down his hotdog. "Yummy." He mumbled in between bites.

I laughed as I took the last bite of mine, brushing the crumbs off myself.

"Max, where are we headed?" Questioned Angel. She looked up at me curiously.

I bent over to wipe the ketchup off her face. "I've got a plan, sweetie. Don't worry."

Angel gave me her sweet little Bambi eyes. "I'm not worried." She said.

If you're wondering what my plan was, I'm sorry to say that I had no clue. Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches. That was what we'd been doing ever since we'd escaped from the school. Nothing's changed since then. Nothing ever will.

Soon it was dark. I led the flock to a tree. Trees are the best place for us to get some sleep without getting caught. You never knew who or what would find us in a place like New York. We had been in New York a couple times before. It has always given me the creeps. My plan was to get some rest, buy a crap load of food and then fly to a different place. I didn't know where. That was something I had decided to discuss with the flock tomorrow.

Most of the flock was already asleep. Nudge, Gazzy and Iggy were fast asleep. I could hear Angel talking quietly with Total.

I glanced at Fang. He had his gaze fixed on his computer. That is a reason why I have to admire Fang. Even at the worst times, he seems to be the only one of us that can hold on. All he has to do is blog. I can't say I like the fact that he blogs about us, but, hey, what can you do?

Almost as if on cue, he turned around and looked at me. You couldn't see his forehead under his dark hair and his eyes were fixed strait on me.

"I'll take first watch. You should get some sleep." He said softly.

I took a glance at the flock, then I turned back to Fang and nodded.

The last thing I saw before my eyes closed was the glow of the moon staring down at me.
