Hey guys! I'm back! I hope you enjoy the story!

I walked carefully around Mock Town, my wits about me and my purse close. There were so many pirates here. Evil pirates, the ones that would kill innocents to fulfill their agendas, unlike my grandfather. I wish there were more pirates like my grandfather and his crew.

But I had to be brave now. I was a pirate as well. Maybe I didn't act like one, but I sure was one. Frank tugged at the hood of my cloak that hid my identity.

"Oi, Aster, look up when you walk so you don't bump into anyone accidentally." Frank was a turtle, well, he was at first a mafia boss, an important one as well. However, he accidentally ate a Logia type of fruit, and turned into a turtle. He couldn't change back, so his family kicked him out to fend for himself.

"You're right, Frank, but I'm nervous people would recognize me." He puffed on his cigar.

"Whatever." I kept walking, hoping to get to a bar safely, however, some pirate gripped onto my purse. I gasped as he put a hand on my mouth to keep me from screaming. Frank called out for me in fear.

"Aster you have to fight back!" I shook my head. Even though I was a pirate, I was against fighting. Well, I was more afraid of seeing blood, and I hated the sight of blood. It makes me go limp just thinking about it.

"Give me the damn purse, girl!" I would give it to him, but it contained the last bit of money I had left from my grandfather and other explorations. I needed this money to continue my journey.

"No!" I mouthed into his hand. I looked around and saw no one noticed me struggling with the pirate, and anyone that did just didn't care. It was a common occurrence in this town, I guess.

He tugged at the purse, and the more I fought, the more my hood came off my head. Soon, the hood was completely off, my white hair exposed to the sunlight. He gasped.

"You're Whitebeard's granddaughter! I bet I can sell you for a reasonable price, hehe." He then wrapped his arms around me, trying to pull me over into a nearby alley. Frank bit at his face, but the pirate quickly swatted him off onto the ground. Since he was a turtle, there was no way he could've moved fast enough to help me out. I moved about, struggling against him. Finally, I gave up and bit into his hand, making sure to pierce the skin. I closed my eyes, not wanting to see blood. He screamed and pushed me away, cursing under his breath.

"That's it girly!" I heard him cock his gun. I quickly screamed out.

"Someone please, help me!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, hoping someone would come to my rescue. But I doubted it. In this town, everyone seemed to be against you, and this is probably where I would die. I opened my eyes to look at my killer, only to see him get punched in the face by a orange haired girl that looked all too familiar.

"Nami...chan?" She quickly grabbed my hand and scooped up Frank off the floor, and she took off. I ran next to her, surprised to see her in this town. Was she here to steal from more pirates?

After a couple of minutes, we stopped running to catch our breath. Our hands on our knees, we panted for a few before we both started just laughing. She looked at me, tears in her eyes.

"It's just like the old days, huh Aster?" She smiled at me.

"Mmhmm!" I said, nodding with a huge grin on my face. I quickly gave her a hug, Frank standing on her shoulder.

"Nami, who's this?" A voice asked my old friend. She quickly jumped up.

"Luffy, turn away, you're covered in blood." I quickly closed my eyes.

"Oh no it's okay, I closed my eyes."

"Luffy, Zoro, this is Aster. She's an old friend of mine." I waved a little.

"Hello! I'm Aster Newgate! It's a pleasure to meet you!" I bowed at them, my eyes still closed.

"Newgate?! You're Whitebeard's granddaughter?" I nodded and smiled. I motioned towards Frank.

"And that's Frank." I heard him puff on his cigar.

"Yo." I heard one of them get exclaim out in excitement.

"A talking turtle! That's so cool!"

"Call me cool once more and I'll make sure to throw you in the ocean with cement around your feet, boy." Frank hopped onto my shoulder.

"Open your eyes, Aster." I opened them and saw Nami standing in front of me, blocking me from the two who were covered in blood.

"Are you two okay?" I asked. Nami patted my shoulder.

"Don't worry about these two idiots." I laughed as I think Zoro started getting all riled up by her comment. We started walking, and I followed Nami.

"So Nami, what are you up to nowadays?"

"I'm a pirate! Well, a navigator for Luffy and others."

"You're a pirate?!" I remembered how she absolutely hated pirates when she was younger. In fact, she didn't like me at first because my family were pirates.

"Yeah. Don't worry, we aren't like those apes." I nodded, happy at that fact.

"What about you? Are you really a pirate?" I nodded. "But you hate violence, well, the sight of blood. How does that work?"

"Well, I try to be very nice and cordial as much as possible. Also, I don't go around starting trouble. I just keep to myself."

"But you have to fight once in a while in order to be a pirate." Luffy said.

"That's very true, and I have gotten in a few tussles before. However, the fact that I don't eat much makes me weaker, so I try to avoid battles. Plus, I can't stand hurting someone else."

"Why don't you eat much?" Zoro asked.

"Well, I'm not exactly sure. Whenever I see a large plate of food I usually get this sick feeling, so I eat small plates. I eat a lot of fruit, but nothing larger than that. But lately I've been eating more because I need more energy since I'm traveling to shadier places." I explained to them.

"If you eat more, I'm pretty sure you'll get stronger." Luffy said innocently. I chuckled.

"I'm already strong. I just can't stand the sight of blood." I shivered just thinking about it.

"You have to get over that, Aster. I mean, your devil fruit-" Nami was starting to say, however she was rudely cut off by the two boys behind us.

"You're a devil fruit eater?!" Luffy and Zoro said together. I nodded.

"I am as well!" Luffy said. I got excited.

"Really?! I'm so happy to meet another devil fruit eater! What's yours?" I said, wanting to turn around but remembering he's covered in blood.

"Gum-Gum no Mi. I'm made out of rubber!" He said, chuckling a little. "What about you, Aster?"

"Chi-Chi no Mi. I can control blood."

"Wow! Really?!" Luffy asked.

"She is but she can't stand blood so I don't know how that works out." Frank said, sighing.

"So basically you're useless?" Zoro asked. I furrowed my eyebrows together. What the hell does he mean, useless?!

"She isn't useless, pal. She's laid a huge hurting on some of the commanders in Whitebeard's crew, so watch what you say pal." Frank said, defending me. I patted his head, thanking him for what he did.

"Even though I have a devil fruit, I don't depend on it for power. I've been training with Marco, Vista, Thatch, and even your brother, Luffy, for a while."

"My brother? You mean Ace?" Luffy asked.

"Yeah. He's very nice to me and he talks about you all the time!" Soon I saw a horrible looking ship in the distance. I stared at the ship curiously, wondering what exactly would happen if I went aboard. I know nothing bad would happen, but would I get attached to these people that much? I already know Nami, and Zoro and Luffy don't seem that bad, fun, in fact. I hope they let me join their crew. Hopefully there's space for a weakling like me.
