The Discovery

It was a warm Friday afternoon and Jack and Annie were playing in their front yard with their dog Oki.

"Fetch the ball, Oki!" Annie tossed the ball.

Oki chased after the ball and into the bush, then popped out again with the ball in his mouth.

"Good boy, now bring it back." Annie said.

"He's not going to listen to you." Jack added.

"Yes, he will! Come here, Oki." Oki turned and dashed back into the bush and into the woods.

"Oki!" Annie called.

"I told you." Jack replied,

The siblings followed Oki's pawprints in the ground and found him near a tree- the same tree with the magic tree house settled in it's branches.

"Good boy, Oki. Good boy." Annie cooed.

"Teddy!" Jack called.

Nobody stuck their head out of the tree house window. "Let's climb up." Annie said.

Jack placed Oki in his backpack and he and Annie climbed up the ladder and into the tree house. They looked around the floor until,

"Jack! I've found something!" Annie cried.

"What is it?" Jack asked.

"It's an invitation!" Annie said, "to our favorite place to go." Annie showed him the note, it read:

Dear Jack and Annie,

Please come to Camelot.

M

"Weird. Morgan never signs her messages with an M." Annie said, "But-"

"Merlin does!" they said together.

"Ready?!" Jack grabbed Oki and nodded.

"I wish we could go there."

The wind started to blow

The tree house began to spin

It spun faster and faster

Until everything was still

Absolutely still
