Chapter 2: Air Kingdom
Blaze and Tangle had followed Bernard and the other air movers on their way back to their home. As they continued on their way, the fiery feline began to look at her surroundings finding them familiar.
Tangle catches up to Bernard. "So where is this place of yours, Bernie?"
The hedgehog looks to the lemur. "Please don't refer to me by that name. Also, to answer your question, it's just down this way." He stops at the edge of a cliff side with a thick covering what was below.
Blaze looks away from the cliff as she attempts to back away only for one of the air movers to stand behind her. "Sorry,…it's just…"
Bernard walks over to her and takes her hand. "We understand, your highness. There's nothing to worry about with us."
Tangle smiles handing Blaze the end of her tail. "You fall, I'll catch you. Remember?"
The feline nods with a slight smile on her face.
"So where do we go from here?"
Instead of a straight forward answer, the air movers leaped from the cliff and entered freefall. Bernard pulls the girls along with him and jumps off the cliff bringing them down through the fog.
Blaze grasps onto Tangle tight as her fur stood up. "What is this going to accomplish!?"
Bernard then discarded his hood and spread his arms catching the wind with wings sewn into his clothes.
Tangle holds onto him amazed. "You can fly!?"
"It's more slowing our descent. Look up ahead."
The girls look up ahead as they began to exit the fog. Within their sights was a civilization filled with people just like Bernard.
Blaze looks in awe much like her friend would. "The Air Kingdom."
Tangle looks around as Bernard flew then around the location. "Wow! A kingdom hidden below the fog of a cliff. That's both incredible and sneaky."
"I can't believe I'm seeing it with my own eyes."
Bernard slowly lands setting the girls down in the center square of the kingdom. "Welcome to the Air Syndicate. Our home is your home, ladies."
"Thank you, Bernard."
Tangle looks around as the civilization in awe at first only to start to stretch her head a bit.
Blaze notices this. "Something wrong, Tangle?"
"Something about this place feels…familiar." She looks around at the villagers as a lot of them began to look at her. The lemur catches a few murmurs, most of them coming out to the words lost child.
Bernard stands beside Tangle. "Perhaps I can escort you around the land. You and I have much to discuss."
"I had a feeling we would. What with all of this and me doing this." She launches her hand blowing a gust of air in the direction and pointed. The villagers watched in shock and awe at the lemur's control over the wind.
Blaze walks up to them. "I'll join you. She's my friend, and I need to hear about this myself as well."
Bernard nods his head and agrees to tell her as well.
The three of them began to walk through the crowds of people. As they continued through the kingdom, they kept hearing the words lost child repeated over and over. Who was this lost child, and what did it have to do with Tangle?
