Hey, everyone! I was just going through a bunch of old files and I came across these ones when I was in a phase (and I still might be) for liking Sirius more and was convinced that James was evil (in my head). I think I was just tired of Lily/James fanfics after reading like twenty thousand of them. I might write more Sirius/Lily fanfics, or just continue these short ones so sorry if I do and I ended up spoiling some parts. These two scenes are not necessarily in order. And these two scenes could or couldn't be written for the same story. I don't really know myself. Enjoy!
James stared at the couple groping each other as his face flushed with anger. Technically, he didn't have any right to be but technically, he did. He forced himself to look away when Lily's shirt came off; he thought that if he looked again, he would kill Sirius.
He spoke loudly, "So this is why you ditched me, Evans?" Startled, the pair looked up right before Sirius was about to unhook Lily's bra. His face getting redder for two different reasons, he tried not to look below Lily's head. "We were supposed to start rounds ten minutes ago. You're late, and without a good reason, I see."
"Come on, mate. Can't you do it by yourself tonight?" Sirius asked coolly but with eyes full of anger, not believing his friend could be so selfish for his own desires. Eyes flashing, James replied. "No, I can't. The Heads are supposed to share the work together and if I did the rounds by myself it wouldn't exactly be fair, would it?"
"Get out, Potter," Lily hissed.
James had on a cruel smirk. "Why?"
"Because I'm hardly decent, you idiot!" Sirius looked down at Lily's half-naked chest and moved in front of her so James couldn't see anymore.
"James," Sirius warned him.
"Fine. I'll give you one minute to get dressed and then you finish the rounds with me." That said, James walked outside the classroom to cool down. To be honest, he didn't really want to do the rounds with Lily anymore, but then if he let her go, she would undoubtedly spend the rest of her time continuing what James had interrupted.
"Come ON, Lily! You have to come test out my new dung bomb with me! It's strawberry scented!"
"Strawberry-scented? What a waste of money, honestly. Strawberry-scented dung bombs. I'd have never thought you to be one to buy something like that, Sirius. I mean, what's the most you could do with a strawberry-scented dung-not dung-bomb? Make the boys' loo smell good?"
"Well, I thought the same thing, dearest. But then, I remembered how Remus's allergy to them make his face swells up so nicely when he smells any in the air and, of course, I immediately bought five of them."
Lily threw back her head and laughed; she leaned in and gave Sirius a smack on the lips with her own. Her smile faded ever so slightly and her mouth dropped open in surprise from her own actions when she realized what she had just done. Sirius's expression mirrored her own.
"I'm sorry!" she blurted. "I didn't mean it. I just did it unconsciously before I remembered that we weren't dating anymore."
"It's okay," a still slightly shocked Sirius said. His eyes looked behind her and widened even more. Lily didn't have to turn around to know who it was.
"So you guys are getting back together?" James asked, trying to appear nonchalant. Lily looked back at Sirius and she knew that she was supposed to say no, but there was another part of her that said yes. She shouldn't be thinking this way, she knew. She had no right to after breaking up their relationship only a month ago and after getting closer to James. But she couldn't help it. Her eyes revealed her feelings.
"Lil," Sirius prompted. His eyes were warning her as if they were saying, 'Don't do this'.
Lily closed her eyes for a second and faced James. "Let me get back to you on that, okay?"
"Sure," said James, shoving his hands in his pockets and trying to seem unconcerned. He jerked his head as he turned and walked away from them-a bit too quickly.
"Lily, what was that?" Sirius demanded. His eyes were swirling with emotion, with a bit of hopefulness laced with cautiousness.
"Can I get back to you on that too?"
"What? No! Just tell me wh-" she put her hand over his mouth and said gently, "Please. For now."
With that said, Lily turned to her breakfast and started shoveling eggs into her mouth like nothing had happened. Sirius sighed beside her but he shifted to eat his breakfast too and they continued to eat in a silence that somehow wasn't comfortable but wasn't completely awkward either.
