"Edward, why did you come down here, were you not resting peacefully?"
"I apologize. Your scent… it became overwhelming." I walked over to him and sat beside him. Getting a closer look into his eyes I realized I had never seen them this dark. "You hunted two days ago with Jasper why are you so hungry again?" He adjusted himself a bit and I could tell he wasn't breathing. He looked pained. "Truthfully love, I didn't hunt. I couldn't bare to be away from you. You had a nightmare a few nights past and after hearing you, seeing you, I couldn't leave you." I exhaled, finally understand. I rose and backed myself up, allowing sufficient distance between us. He inhaled finally and smiled graciously, "Thank-you." I continued. "Edward you know that I know you will never leave your family anymore, there is no reason to. I have always thought you considerate and loving, but you allowing me to be so close with you while you are this hungry is respectable… and cruel and stupid. Your daughter is sleeping and I will wait for you, always. Please go and hunt. The sooner you leave the sooner I may go back to loving you." He rose, smiled and jumped out the door. I went back up to our room and waited patiently. I had my eyes closed when he returned about an hour and a half later. He gracefully mounted the bed, so much that you could barely tell, and placed his arm around my shoulders. I rolled over to be greeted by the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen, my Edward was back. I kissed his lips, taking what was rightfully mine. After a few minutes, after my "hunger" was satisfied I curled into his chest, welcoming the cooling down, and rested peacefully. "Goodnight my beauty. Your right, I will never leave. For you are my heart and home." These were the last words I heard that night.
