Chapter one
A/N Yeah, I know- "Didn't you already start this?" Yeah, I did, but I'm scrapping the original, and remaking it, new characters, altered plot line, and yeah.
Rated M for possible sexual content, mature humor, blood and gore, drug/ alcohol use, course language, and violence.
Tsuyoi woke up and stretched. "-YAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWNNNN- What time is it?" He looked at the clock, it was 7:30 "Okay,shower tiem" He got up and went to get ready for school.
-at school- Tsuyoi woke up from the nap he took on the bus, and walked into the school and went to his locker and got his books. He deposited them in his homeroom and went to find Kio and Zelphie. They were, of course, in the library, on the computers. "Hey!" He grinned at them "Yo" Kio said "What's up?"
"Not much, tired, took a nap on the bus" He grinned "Don't forget e have our presentation today" Zelphie grinned "I didn't" He said "I have it! It's a good one, I assure you"
They laughed and the bell rang, and they headed to class. The presentations were boring and he began to nap again.
He was falling through water, but, he could breathe. His eyes slowly opened and he gasped "I-I'm falling? Why? I should be in class..."
He kept falling "Maybe this is the start of something great?" He landed on a pillar... o a tower. He looked over the edge "Shiiiiit, I'm... going to back away now." He got the sudden urge to walk to the center to avoid falling off. He looked at the tower itself, it was a picture of a brown haired boy with five cards in his hand, a red haired girl, a blonde haired girl, a black haired girl, a blonde boy, and a silver haired boy. "Who're those guys?"
Then three platforms apeared around him "Uhh...?" A sword, Shield and staff apeared before him on the three pilars.
"Choose wisely, young one"
He looked around for the source of the noise, but gave up and looked at the three items before him. He gulped "Okay, choose one?" He walked up to the sword and grabed it "The blade, a symbol of strength and loyalty, do you value that?"
"Er- yeah" He said to the disembodied voice. "Then take it, now, choose somthing to give up"
He walked over to the shield "The shield, able to protect its owner and the ones he cares about, this symbolises defence and friendship, do you wish to give this up?"
"No way!" He said, putting it back "Then, choose again"
He nodded and went to the staff "The magicans staff, this symbolises knowlage and cunning, do you wish to give that up?"
"I-I guess... will this make me stupid?"
The voice laughed "No, it won't, it is a true hero's choice to give up knowlage for the strength to protect those they care for, and the tools to do it"
He grinned "Well, thats good, I thought giving that up would make me stupid... Wait, who the hell are you?"
"You do not need to know that at the moment"
The staff dissapeared and the platforms started to sink, and the pillar shattered and he bagan to fall
"!" He landed softly "O-Oh, okay, I'm okay... I'm okay" He was breathing hard "You need to test your combat skills"
"Huh? Why?"
He didn't get an answer, but a shadow started to crawl towards him "Damnit" He said, and he got ready to defend himself, it lunged, and he went to block, but then there was that sword he chose "W-What?"
"Use it!"
He got into a stance and sliced at the shadow, he hit it "Hells yes!" He said as it poofed away "Behind you!"
he swiftly turned around and blocked an incoming attack, counter-attcking and grinning when it poofed away. There were suddenly around five or six shadows around him, and he sliced one, rolled to dodge an attack, sliced one while rolling, kicked one and sent it off the side, stabbed another, jumped over another, causing it toattack its comrade, and cut the last ones head off.
"Very good" The voice said, as the pillar shattered
He didn't scream this time, and just landed, and looked around "Whats this?" He wondered aloud, looking at a bright thing on the floor "That is a save point" The voice said "It allows you to relax and save people you need to help or heal" "OOOhhhhh, okay" He said, then more badies showed up, he pwned them, and then a stair case showed up "At least I don't have to fall" He grinned, and started up the stairs, they dissapeared behind him as he ran "God damn this place!" He groaned and ran faster. He reached the top and started walking cautiously. looking around him.
"Light is a peculiar thing, it lights the darknes, but the closer you get to it, the greater your shadow becomes, but don't be afraid, you are the next, who will open the door"
"Huh?" Tsuyoi said as he looked behind him and turned white. A BIG shadow was behind him, and, oddly enough, it kind of looked like him. He got ready to fight "Bring it on" His voice was an octave higher than usual.
The shadow puntched the ground, and it shook, there was shadow forming around its hand, but he ran toward it anyway and began to hack and slash, but smaller shadows were showing up too, and he had to fight them off, he fought and fought, and the thing shot lazor beams out the heart shaped hole in its chest, and he had to dodge them, he kept fighting, and was exusted when the thing fell... ontop of him, it turned to a pool of dark, and he felt he was drowning in it, and flailed around.
"Don't be afraid, you are the one, who will open the door again, and who knows? It may be a happy ending."
He fell onto the floor and was still flailing, but the sat bolt up. He looked around, everyone was staring "H-Hey guys!" He said, turning red "What's... up?"
"Are you okay?" The teacher asked "Er- Yeah, I- Uh...- had a nightmare" He even thought it was lame "So you fell asleep in class? Please go to the office" She scolded He did as he was told
After he got back, he told his friends about the dream.
"Wow man, weird dream." Kio said "What did you eat before the nap?"
"Nothing, I was starving" He grumbled Zelphie laughed "That was quite the scene you made, I bet it was to get out of presenting"
"No, it wasn't, I'll present what I have now!" He took out some paper "The quantum therory-"
"Don't you DARE" Kio growled "It's lunch, I will not have my stomach turned by schoolwork!"
They laughed and ate, Tsuyoi hid how bugged he was by his dream.
School ended and they went home. Tsuyoi waved at his friends as he got onto the bus, and read on the way home, he didn't sleep till twelve that night, but had normal dreams anyway.
He woke up the next day and went to school, and walked in, and saw Zelphie "Hey, wheres Kio?" He asked "Probably late- again' She grinned He smiled, that was so like him. They went to class, and Tsuyoi sat in his seat. Class went by normally, he did his presentation, and the teacher seemed to love it.
At lunch, they saw Kio, and they talked, until they sky got dark, and it started to storm. "What odd weather..." Tsuyoi said "It was perfect out untill a moment ago..." CRASH, lightning. He looked out the window "Heh, the storms playing tricks on my eyes, it looks like theres two big yellow eyes out there" Kio laughed Tsuyoi went rigid "N-No way" CRASH the window shattered, and people screamed.
"Guys, run!" Tsuyoi yelled, and he willed the sword to come... but it didn't "Damn.." he picked up a metal bar "Y-Your comming too!" Zelphie yelped "Yeah!" Kio said "RUN AWAY!" Tsuyoi said, more forcefully They flinched, but stayed
He growled, but went to fight anyway, he slashed, but it didnt hurt them "N-No way!"
The other two were looking at him frightened He kept at it "No! NO! NO NO NO NO NO!" He yelled "WHY WONT YOU DIE?" He slashed again, and it connected, and it wasn't a metal bar anymore, it was an oversized key "What the fuck?" He blinked. He kept fighting, there were so many, and fighting, so many, and fighting.
"Tsuyoi! Look outside!" Kio yelled There was a blood red hole in the sky, and he ran out, followed by Zelphie and Kio. "what is it?" He asked "No clue" Zelphie said Tsuyoi ran forward and stopped "That again?" He said, as the huge shadow from his dream appeared "You mean?" Kio asked "Y-Yeah, it's that..." He said "Run guys, before it's too late"
"No!" Kio said "Ill fight ith you!" He pulled out a knife, and got into a stance "N-No" Zelphie said "You'll both get killed! Come on! Lets go!"
Tsuyoi shook his head, and charged at the badie, as did Kio.
The fight was rough. Tsuyoi and Kio barely won. They walked up to Zelphie "We won! WE WON!" They grinned, then the ground shook, and they were being sucked into the sky "Wow... gravity fail" Kio said, getting a fe chuckles from Tsuyoi. "Looks like this is goodbye guys" Tsuyoi said, looking at his friends "Bye Kio"
"Later"
"Bye Zelphie" He said, looking at her "B-Bye"
They let go, and were sucked into the sky.
