In the movie, I was surprised to see that Thomas was only in the box for a few minutes when in the book it is seemingly hours. (Of course James Dashner states it was only half an hour) I have a few theories as to why Wes Ball had it sped up. #1 In The Kill Order prologue Teresa states that while it seems to be a half hour that the 'Greenies' spend in the box, it is really only a few minutes. #2 Since the half hour in the book is mostly comprised of Thomas's thoughts, it would of been just watching Dylan O'Brien stare at a wall for half an hour.
P.S. I lied. I will not be posting every day. My internet's shut down. I will try to post as often as I can please be patient and thank you for reading! xo Sassy.
