Clark Kent and Chloe Sullivan were best friends and trusted each other with every secret they had, which included Clark being from another planet and Chloe a meteor freak. The only thing Clark has kept from Chloe was his feelings for her which was growing more and more each day. This is why when Chloe asked Clark to do some investigating reporting he said yes before she even finished explaining what she was investigating.
"Hurry up Clark. You know for a guy who is faster than a speeding bullet you can sure as hell walk slow" Said Chloe hurrying Clark on with her arm with a annoyed expression on her face. Clark stared at Chloe realising how cute is when she's irritated.
"Are you sure this is safe" said Clark jogging beside Chloe.
"For the last time yes! All we are doing is having a look around Lex's lab and see if we can get enough evidence to put him away for good." Said Chloe smiling "and remember you're the one who said you wanted to come with me"
"Fine but the first sign of trouble I'm super speeding us out of there" Clark said as they reached the entrance.
"Fine" said Chloe rolling her eyes "come on then" as she opened the door.
As they entered the lab they saw what they thought looked like a small glass cube big enough for one person with a control panel right outside it. Chloe ran up to it touching the glass as she walked around it.
"What do you think it is?" ask Chloe amazed
"I don't know" said Clark opening the glass door to the cube. As Clark was about to step in Chloe arm grabbed him.
"Clark maybe you shouldn't go inside it could be dangerous" Chloe said worried.
"Not if we don't touch anything" Clark smiled with his famous Kent charm which calmed Chloe down immediately.
"Ok, but be careful Clark".
Clark stepped inside and closed the glass door and smiled at Chloe. Chloe was so relieved that she leaned back on the control panel and presses a button. Realising what she had done she tried to warn Clark but was interrupted by a bright light that made her close her eyes. When the light died down she opened her eyes and started to panic as Clark was no-where to be found.
