Day 4 ~ 2:00 PM
Francis took a deep breath, slowly turning the safety off and breathing deeply. Lightning flashed and it took Francis every once of his strength not to yelp or scream or jump flee or anything terrible that would give his or Arthur's position away.
There was a bout of swearing from the other side of the trees, and Francis recognized the accent immediately .
"How dare you scare the awesome me!"
Francis grinned, "GILBERT!" he nearly screamed, as rain scattered itself from the heavens and Gilbert and Francis ran to each other.
Grasping the hand of his comrade, Francis exclaimed, "Gilbert! Oh my goodness, what the hell are you doing here?"
Gilbert, grinning shouted back over the roar of thunder. "I don't know! I guess my awesomeness is so attractive that they couldn't help asking me to come here!" he said triumphantly.
"Yes, yes, as nice as that may be," Roderich said, brushing the leaves off of his overcoat, "Where the hell are we?"
"I have no idea!" Francis shouted, grinning and letting go of Gilbert's hand.
There was a shriek and Arthur turned around, spraying the trees with a round of bullets.
"Elizabeta!" Roderich cried suddenly, worry etched all over his face. "She came with us! I don't know where she is!"
"We'll find her." Arthur said. "But for right now we need to get back to the base." he handed Francis his gun and an extra pistols to both Gilbert and Roderich.
"You're gonna need those. No one knows what the bloody hell is out in these places and the last thing we need is to find out the hard way." Arthur said, and Roderich and Gilbert both nodded, before the three made their way back towards the base, all interest in lumber forgotten.

Day 5 ~ 3:20 PM
Ludwig grasped Gilbert on the back, "Good to see you bruder!" he said happily, his grin matched on brother's face.
"West! What the hell are you doing here?"
"Who the hell knows?" Ludwig said, wrapping his arm around his shorter brother's shoulder and grinning.
"You have any beer?" Gilbert asked, "because that sounds really good right now!"
"What class," Austria said, pushing his glasses up in an annoyed tone. "We have more important things to worry about." he said, capturing everyone's attention.
"Elizabeta's still out there."
Ludwig's expression grew firm, he narrowed his eyes slightly. "Where did you see her last?"
Roderich shook his head. "I don't know." said the austrian. "I don't know how we got here in the first place, but we're here now, and no one knows where she is. I heard her though. I remember hearing her."
A scream went out through the trees whether it was man or beast none of them knew, but it sent shivers up all their spines
"Let's get moving," Ludwig said, slinging a heavy shotgun over his shoulder. "Roderich, Alfred, Arthur, you three come with me." Ludwig said, grabbing a grenade.
"And me." Gilbert said suddenly. The look of concern was uncharacteristic of the former nation, and for a second Ludwig had a twinge of concern.
"You know, my awesomeness will scare the hell monsters away." he said triumphantly, grinning, and Ludwig smiled softly, and nodded, "Alright. Stock up. Yao, you come too, incase Elizabeta is hurt. Everyone else stay here, maintain it like you own it." he said, grabbing a belt of multiple rounds and slinging it over his shoulder.

Day 5 ~ 4:12 PM
Ludwig walked catiously through the forest, his hand on the trigger as his heart beat in his throat. No one made a noise, even Gilbert looked like he was about to crap his pants.
Alfred paused, "Shh," he said. The other nations froze, dead silence echoed through the treetops and Alfred was sure his heart would give away their position.
There were slight clicks and clacks, a faint whimper, and Roderich screamed, leaping through the bushes and letting his gun loose.
There she sat, her beautiful brown hair covering one side of her face, her hands limp at her sides and blood running down her face.
There they stood in front of her, like great black shells, white bulbs for eyes, veins of blue blood running through them. Long black talons emerging from bone thing arms secretly packed massive amounts of power and strength.
Roderich's bullets flew harmlessly from their skin, Ludwig acted quickly, smashing the butt of his gun into the charging monster's face.
Gilbert screamed something in german, rushing the second beast fearlessly he smashed the barrel of the gun in between the creatures eyes and with a cry let loose at point blank.
Black blood like satin flew upon his face and he watched it fall, his gun following it, screaming curses in german.
Even after it was gone, his finger remained upon the trigger.
Arthur pulled out his wand, his own creation, ignoring the gun at his side. Long and slim, the wand was a deep black hue, shining in the dim light of the bullets.
"Sky that reigns fire,
Earth that binds dead.
Obliteration way Number 23!
Obelisks of Blood!"
Rushing forward, he leapt, flying over Ludwig, he spun so his head was directly on top of the creatures, he smashed the point of his wand into the skull of the creature, a light beam screamed harshly into the face of the thing, and Arthur landed on his feet a few feet away as the head of the creature exploded.
"Bloody hell." he said, pocketing his wand and snapping his fingers. "That's how it's done."
"Elizabeta," Roderich said softly, running over to his former wife. He cradled her face gently in his hands, unsure of what to do or say.
"Move, aru." Yao said sternly, walking over and bending down beside Elizabeta. "I can't do anything for her here. Let's get her back to the base and bust these damn things to pieces later, aru."
Gilbert finally stepped back from over the carcass, he let out a light toned, "Damn! Bugs can fight!"
Roderich nodded at Yao, picking up the beautiful nation, she let out a small whimper that made Roderich's heart stop.
"Gil..." she said, moving her head slightly. The mentioned nation went red, Roderich didn't know what to say.
Alfred answered the silence by taking Elizabeta from Roderich and holding her in his arms, bridal style. "C'mon, let's get the hell out of here." he said, Ludwig and Arthur leading the way with Yao, Gilbert, and Roderich pulling the rear.
"Grab a carcass, aru." Yao said to Gilbert and Roderich, causing the other nations to stop.
"I wanna learn more about these things, aru. Kiku and Ivan will help me."
Not protesting, but groaning slightly, Gilbert and Roderich each picked up a side of the alien that Prussia had shot down repeatedly.
And they carried that stinking, bloody, hell filled monster carcass back to the base.

Day 5 ~ 5:02 PM
Dropping the heavy carcass on the floor, Roderich wiped the blood on a handkerchief and wiped it across his forehead before neatly tucking it away.
He was still pissed off about the whole 'Gil' thing, and he was eager to figure out what the hell that was all about.
"Doitsu!" Feliciano cried, rushing behind the tall nation. "What the hell is that?" he asked, grabbing a gun and poking the thing in the head.
"These are the things tormenting us, aru." Yao said, pulling out herbs and beginning to bandage up Elizabeta.
"Let me help," Ivan said, bending down to bandage a scrap across her forearm.
"DON'T TOUCH HER." Gilbert shouted angrily, kicking the nation in the face and pushing him away from the hungarian. The prussian stood there, fuming.
Roderich slammed Gilbert against the wall, "Now's not the time to be fighting!" he shouted, and the former nation went red. Roderich didn't know what had gotten into him. Suddenly, well, he had always been a little protective of his former wife, even though she's saved his butt plenty of times. Seeing Gilbert care for her so much infuriated him, especially now since they weren't married and Elizabeta wasn't really seeing anyone right now.
Ivan grasped his jaw with a gloved hand, "That hurt, da?" he said, snapping it back into place and causing a few nations to shudder.
"Alright, let's just make it through the night." Francis said, grabbing the gun he slept with and standing by the door. "I'll take first watch."
Ludwig grabbed Roderich, pulling him away from Gilbert, he said, "Stand down." Roderich pushed his glasses up his nose, crossed his arms and stalked away to Elizabeta and Yao.
Gilbert brushed off his blood stained jacket, moving away, muttering something about a pole being shoved up Roderich's butt.

Day 5 ~ 7:26
Elizabeta opened her eyes slowly, to a hovering Yao.
"Wha-..?" she asked gently, Yao spun around, "You're awake, aru!" he said happily, "How do you feel?"
Elizabeta answered by turning over and retching.
"Shhh," Roderich cooed, bending over Elizabeta and rubbing her arm soothingly. "It's okay."
Once she was finished, Elizabeta wiped her face with the sleeve of her torn dress. "What the...?" she murmured quietly.
"How do you feel, aru?"
"Hungry." Elizabeta answered.
"Hungary being hungry? Who would've thought of that?" Gilbert asked jokingly. He was smacked by Ludwig. "This isn't a joking matter." his younger brother corrected him.
In a matter of moments, Feliciano was beside the nation with a plate of food. "Here you go, miss." he said warmly as Elizabeta accepted the food.
"Thanks."
Feliciano nodded, poorly saluted, and walked away.
"So, where are we?" Elizabeta asked, stuffing her face with a grilled cheese sandwich.
"No one really knows," Alfred said, holding his rifle. "We're somewhere, fighting this wicked sick alien dudes, who are totally freaky looking, like, seriously." Arthur sighed, "Learn proper english, you git!"
"I don't speak english," America said, grinning. "Try speaking american. It's the only language I know." Arthur smacked his face and Francis piped in,
"It's true, mon ami. He does speak american."
"Pipe down, Frog-face! Like you know anything about english!"
"Ohnonon~? What am I speaking right now?"
Arthur went red, realizing he was right, and grabbed the nation's ruffled shirt. "Pipe down!" he shouted again. Francis grabbed his hair, "What are you doing? Grabbing my gorgeous shirt! Better then the stuff you wear anyways!"
"What are you talking about? There's nothing wrong with my clothes!"
"Of course there is! You english have no taste, in clothes or in food!"
"What are you talking about, tons of people make mac and cheese!"
"If they want something bland!"
"Oi! I'll teach you something about bland! When I'm done with you your brain will be so messed up it won't know the difference between your crappy food and my amazing food! Not that it knows anything now!"
"That is IT!" Francis said, and the two engaged in rough hand to hand combat.
She stumbled through the forest, "No," she murmured quietly. "No, no no..."
She fell down, scraping her gorgeous victorian dress and sinking into the mud. Tears slipped down her cheeks and there was a growl.
She fell back, gasping, pushing herself desperately against the trunk.
"No," she murmured again.
White eyes screamed at her, her green eyes reflected in his pupiless eyes, ruthless determination sending shivers down her spines and petrifying her.
And then it lunged.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" she screamed.
All nations stopped.
"What the hell was that?" Francis asked, letting go of a now dirty Arthur.
"We've gotta find out."
Elizabeta had stopped eating, her eyes were wide and fearful. "That sounded like Lilli..." she whispered.
"Lilli?" Gilbert asked, concern for the smaller nation welling up inside of him.
"What the hell?" Ludwig shouted. "Why the hell do we have to keep going out there! Where the hell is everybody coming from, dammit?" he shouted angrily. In an instant Feliciano was beside him, "Shhh... I'll make you some pasta." he promised, moving away as Ludwig sat down and buried his head in his hands.
While Feliciano busied himself in their makeshift kitchen, the others had a quick meeting.
"We need to go after her." Gilbert insisted. "We can't just leave her alone."
"We don't know if it was her." Ivan pointed out.
"Even so," Yao said, "We can't just leave them alone, aru. That would be really bad, aru!"
"Yao's right." Alfred said. "It's our duty as nations of the world. I'll lead the brigade!" he said. For once he was serious about being the leader, "Ivan, Kiku, Gilbert, Francis. You guys wanna come with?"
As the nations nodded, Roderich stood up, "I'll come too." he offered. "Lilli's a good friend." Elizabeta stood up, "Stay safe," she said. Under other circumstances she would have already been out the door. But her head felt dizzy and she was only standing up.
Roderich nodded, "We will," he said, pulling Elizabeta into a swift hug, holding her. Fear was in her eyes, not fear of them not coming back, but another fear... One she would deny with all her heart.
And she realized as Roderich and Gilbert walked out the door, that she was in love with both them.
"LILLI!" Vash screamed, aiming his gun at the beast and firing rapidly. "Get the hell away from her!" he screamed over the noise of his gun. Once the beast was dead, it's blood pooling on to the ground and on both nations, Vash turned around. "Come here Lilli," he said softly. The girl scrambled into his arms, shuddering fiercely. "Shhh," he cooed, holding her tight. "I'm here."
"Vash," she whimpered, placing her head on his chest and sobbing down his shirt. "Oh dear, Vash." she sobbed.
"Shhh," he said again, rocking her back and forth slowly.
"Whoa!" Gilbert shouted, the rain pouring down his face. "Vash!" he cried, almost happily. "You're okay!"
"Gilbert." Vash said in an almost unconcerned tone.
"How do you feel?" Roderich said, appearing beside Gilbert. Vash's breath caught in his throat. So he was here too.
"Like hell." Vash replied, still holding Lilli.
"Yup, this place'll do that to you." Alfred said, cocking his gun threateningly. Vash nodded almost robotically, before he noticed that the ground was wet. "Lilli, Lilli get up. Your dress is already ruined, we don't have anything else for you to wear." Vash said, slowly getting to his feet. But Lilli wouldn't get up. "Lilli?" Vash asked, letting go or her. She fell backwards, her blood pooling all around her, over her split dress, and Vash's heart stopped. His breath caught in his throat, blocked by his heart. A massive circle, a perfect circle, overflowing with blood. The organs, her intestines, wriggled and shook about, bright pink even in the darkness. No one knew what to say, until Vash screeched. "LILLI!" he screamed into the darkness, picking up the nation and turning to them.
"WHERE'S YOUR BASE?" Roderich flinched in terror, as though he had been slapped. This was the trigger happy Vash, the one who didn't care about anyone. Roderich didn't know what to do, never would he have ever thought that Vash would be like this, Roderich had never thought that his old friend was capable of it.
Vash could feel his heart quickening. No, no, not his Lilli, not his little Lilli. Alfred said something but at this point Vash couldn't hear. He could only follow the nation as they all dashed like the devil was after them.
Vash could see the little hut.
Yao and Arthur were outside.
Vash was screaming german curses as he set the nation down. She was pale and cold, her eyes were in a far away place and Vash couldn't bring her back. He held on to his hand, tears running down his cheeks uncontrollably.
Yao looked at her, fretting, checking her for other wounds while Arthur muttered incantations, gripping his wand so hard his knuckles turned white. Vash couldn't look down, he couldn't look down at his little Lilli. Not at the huge hole. Not at the guts as they wriggled in pain. Not at her chest, which was heavily laboriously with every breath. He couldn't look at her eyes, the green pools of swirling blankness that would haunt his dreams forever. He couldn't look as Yao tore her precious dress, looking for anything else that might be a wound. There wasn't anything else. Just the huge gaping hole where her skin and muscles should be.
Vash wanted to scream. He could only find the words to curse in english, german, french, swedish, anything. That was all that running off his tongue. That and her name. "LILLI, LILLI," he screeched into the night, as other nations crowded around with guns outside of that hut. He switched from german to french subconsciously, and though he didn't know it, Francis flinched with every word he screamed.
Intense, right? :D I try.
Well, ohnononon~ I wonder who I'll add next hmm? Hope you guys enjoyed. Please review! :D :D :D
