I can't believe how much of a nice response this story has gotten. Thank you for everyone who has reviewed and I really do apologise for the long long long long looooong wait. I changed this chapter around a lot and tried to lengthen the story up in general. Plus with my exams at the moment, I've hardly any time to do any writing at all, so I think you guys really deserve this.

Please read, review but most of all, enjoy!

Rose was sure her muscles had never ached so much in her entire life. The Doctor hadn't stopped leaning on her for the past ten minutes and every moment he seemed to be getting weaker and weaker. She was forced to drag him by her side, as he moaned and grunted in pain every step of the way. She tried to keep him talking in hopes that he wouldn't collapse on her, asking him every few seconds if they were going in the right direction.

"We're nearly there, Doctor." She said to him as she noticed his eyelids drooping and his breath hitching slightly. She remembered they had arrived on the planet next to a giant lime stone which wasn't incredibly hard to spot. Thankfully, it came in to view as Rose turned in the path. But just as she spotted it, the Doctor suddenly let out a loud grunt and he grabbed onto Rose's arm with strength that dragged her down as he seemed to double over in agony, his hands clutching his stomach.

"Doctor?!" Rose exclaimed out of shock and fear as she tried to steady the pained Time Lord. The Doctor clutched onto her shoulder with such force that it began to hurt her, and she tried to get him to stand again. She could see he was attempting to stand, but every time he tried, he simply flew forwards again with a pained yelp.

"Hang in there Doctor," Rose said to him. "The TARDIS is right around this ro-"

"AGH-ugh!" The noise the Doctor made was enough to make Rose realise that they needed to get to the TARDIS quick. But just as she was about to begin guiding him, his body convulsed in a scream, before he suddenly collapsed onto her.

"Doctor...no...no, Doctor, come on!" She exclaimed at him to see if he would respond, but nothing happened. His hand had released its grip from her shoulder and Rose had no choice but to guide him to the floor and he slumped completely unconscious to the ground. She knelt down beside his limp form, a stray tear escaping from her left eye as she tried to wake him up. After a couple of seconds, he still didn't respond. She suddenly noticed some blood beginning to drip from the right side of his mouth, down his cheek, and onto the ground.

"Oh no...no..." Rose whimpered to herself, knowing that she had to get him back to the TARDIS as quick as she could. With no other choice available to her, she swiftly retreated around his head, put both her hands underneath his arm pits and gradually lifted him up, and then started dragging him along the path. Her muscles protested again as she tried to move quicker towards the rocks. To distract herself from worrying and being terrified, Rose tried to think about how the Doctor could be so heavy when he was as thin as he was.

After what seemed like an age, Rose finally rounded the corner of the lime colored stone and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the TARDIS placed neatly beside it. She carefully lowered the injured Time Lord on the floor, while she rummaged through her pockets for her TARDIS key. When she didn't feel it, she began to panic.

"Where is it?!" She said to herself, but no matter how deep she rummaged through her pockets, she couldn't feel any sign of a key. Then, an idea hit her, and she quickly rushed over to the still unconscious Doctor. She undone his suit buttons and opened his jacket up and began to rummage through his inside pockets, hoping that she would come across a key. When she didn't feel one in the left side, she started fiddling through the other. Behind something that felt like the sonic screwdriver, a rush of relief fell over her when she felt a small piece of metal.

Just as she was pulling it out of his pocket, the Doctor suddenly inhaled a deep breath which made Rose yelp with surprise. His hand rushed to hers and he clung to it tightly as a fresh spout of blood ran out of his mouth. Rose could feel he was beginning to shake and she knelt closer to his face, stroking his cheek and squeezing his hand to try and comfort him.

"Don't worry, the TARDIS is right here, Doctor, you're gonna be fine." She told him confidently. "I'm just going to open the TARDIS, I'll be right here."

She let go of his hand and ran over to the TARDIS doors with his key, shoving it into the lock and turning it to open the time machine. As she was opening it, she turned to look at the Time Lord to see if he was till stable. She saw he had moved his head and was looking directly at her, his thin figure shaking and his eyes watering with unshed tears. The blood was staining his teeth and he began to reach and hand out to her, which made her shove the doors open even harder than she intended to. Rushing back over to him, she stroked his hair back so she could see his old pained brown eyes.

"I'm gonna take you inside Doctor, just hang on." She comforted him, as she resumed her position behind him, placed her arms under him and started dragging him towards the open TARDIS doors. He let out what sounded like a gurgled cry as Rose lifted him up, blood running from his mouth down to his chin, landing on the collar of his shirt in red dots.

When she reached the TARDIS, Rose strained her arms to lift the Time Lord up a few more inches in order to get him into the time machine. He let out a pained groan in response, his head flying backwards and the back of his head hitting Rose on her neck. The scent of his hair his Rose's nose, smelling his strong shampoo, but also the smell of stone and dust. It took her a few more hauls before she managed to drag his limp form to the console, to which she had to rest him on the grating so she could catch her breath. Then, she noticed the Doctor was trying to point at something.

"Ro-se...un-in t-the me-med b-box..." He spluttered, his shaking hand pointing to the main body if the console. "There's...a...med b-box un...un-der the co..consoleAH!" His hand flew back to his stomach and his fingers pulled at the fabric of his shirt and tie. Rose shifted round to where he had been pointing, trying to look for any sign of something on the console. She then spotted a rugged white box that was placed neatly under one of the panels of the console controls and she wasted no time in grabbing it. When she pulled it out, she was rather glad to see the sign of a red cross.

"Is this it, Doctor?" Rose asked the shaking Time Lord, taking it over to him. She knelt beside him and looked for the latches in order to open the box whilst checking to make sure the Doctor didn't fall unconscious on her again every few seconds. She eventually was able to open the two locks on the side and the box flew open. To Rose's surprise, there was more medical devices and tools than she would have first thought.

"L-look fo-r a...purple fil...filled...inject-tion..." The Doctor groaned to his companion, who instantly began rummaging through the containment of the med box. She frantically threw objects outside of the box to give her more of a chance to find the white injection. After a few minutes, she eventually came across a long, thin object that was contained in a clear plastic box. It had a needle around an inch in lenght, and the tube was filled with a purple substance.

"I've found it, Doctor." Rose said to him, grabbing the small box with the injection in it and setting the med box aside. The Doctor slowly turned his head to look at the object Rose had in her hands.

"I-I need you t-to inject me, R-Rose." He said to her simply, his face fused in pain as he looked into her eyes. Rose's eyes widened with fear.

"P-Please...R-ose...you need t-to put it into m-my stomach-" The Doctor tried to explain to her, his hand flailing uselessly around his chest, trying to point to his midriff.

Rose was terrified, but she knew that the Doctor was doing what he thought was best. She looked over to his shirt, which was mangled and tattered, and slowly began to undo his buttons one by one. His pale skin appeared as his shirt parted, Rose's cool fingers made the Doctor wince at her touch. When she got to the middle of his belly, Rose's breath caught in her throat, and she gasped in shock.

She noticed that the further she went up his stomach, more of what looked like a bruise began to appear. It looked tender and agonizing and she tried not to touch it as she undid more of his shirt buttons. By the time she had reached his stomach, she didn't expect to see his skin in such a state. The bruise was at it's center just under his chest, and the colors reached from bright yellow to a deep blotchy red. She gently parted he shirt so it wasn't near his stomach as he gave another gurgle of pain. No wonder he was in so much agony.

"P-push the needle in...to t-the s-stomach..." The Doctor said. Rose was about to respond back to him, when the Time Lord suddenly violently convulsed and he let out an intense yell of pain. Rose grabbed the box that contained the needle and she fumbled to open it, just about breaking the box when she finally managed to crack it open. She took the needle out of the box and threw the box behind her, shuffling closer to the Doctor. She could see beads of sweat were starting to form on his forehead and there were tears streaming from his eyes. She had to hurry.

Being as brave as she could, Rose held the purple filled needle over the Doctor's bruised stomach and pin pointed where she would put it in.

"P-please...R-Rose..." The Doctor grunted to her, his hand finding it's way to hers. She grabbed hold of it and squeezed it tightly.

Rose steadied her shaking hand. She counted down from three. And then stuck the needle into his stomach.

The Doctor instantly began to scream again, but this time, the screams were louder and more agonising. Rose tried to ignore them, as she pushed down on the tube, watching as the purple liquid vanished through the needle. Once she saw it was empty, she removed it from the Doctor's skin and threw it to the side. She kneeled closer to the Doctor's face, trying to calm him down by rubbing his blood ridden cheeks and his tense shoulders. The Doctor's grasp on Rose's hand became a death grip as he continued to shriek in pain.

Then, Rose felt him go completely limp.
