Chapter 2
Jack went out onto the street and felt the cool air brush across his face. It was early morning but the day felt dark already.
Jack began to collect his thoughts analyzing the situation like he'd been taught to as a field agent. Any attempt to remove Audrey from the custody of the Chinese would be dangerous and Jack knew that even with all his training he couldn't do it himself but who could he get to help him. Tony would have done it he realized and just thinking of Tony made him want to cry but he suppressed the urge he needed to concentrate. Then suddenly he knew who he would call he knew who could help him break a person out of a Chinese high security prison.
Picking up his cell phone he dialled a number he hadn't dialled since going to Washington where he had met Audrey.
"Lisa Turner speaking" Came the reply from the phone
"Lisa its Jack Bauer. I need to speak to you urgently where can I meet you?" Jack said
"Jack, wow I haven't heard from you for ages. I've got lunch with a friend but I can meet you this evening" She told him surprise registering in her voice
"I need to see you now Lisa" Jack told her firmly
"What's this about Jack?" Lisa asked worried at his tone of voice.
"I'll tell you when I see you. Where can I meet you?" Jack asked firmly
"I'll meet you at a restaurant called Old Pete's Downtown in half an hour" Lisa said
Jack hung up and looked at the letter with Audrey having written his name. Audrey I'm coming to get you he thought to himself.
