Princess Puckett

Carly and Freddie watched her go.

"Spaghetti tacos for dinner?"

Spencer smiled at the two answers. "Yes please!"

Carly decided to follow Sam upstairs. Freddie walked over to help Spencer.

Carly frowned at the sight that met her eyes. Sam was laying in a bean bag chair, tossing a tennis ball up and down. Her expression was blank.

"Sam?" Carly grew concerned. Sam must have been really out of it. At the unexpected sound, the ball came down and bounced off her head.

"Oh. Hey Carls."

"You okay?"

"Uh huh."

"Dinner!"

"What we havin'?" Sam asked as they headed down stairs.

"Spaghetti tacos." Carly chased after Sam.

An unfortunate, unsuspecting dork happened to be sitting in a chair. "Move over Fredlumps."

"AHHHH!" He looked up from his spot on the floor. He glared at the blonde.

"Sam! You okay Freddie?" He allowed Carly to help him up. Sam was snickering from her chair. He huffed as he sat down. Dinner was a quiet affair as they munched.

"Thanks Spence. Anytime you want to make Mamma spaghetti tacos, you can." He chuckled as he ruffled her hair. The three left him to it and headed upstairs. Sam plopped herself in the same beanbag chair she was in earlier. She snorted. Carly and Freddie had gone back to talking about Jonah. They lost track of time. Carly glanced up and sighed. Freddie grabbed a spare blanket and placed it over their sleeping friend. The two parted for the night. Carly stared curiously at the soft smile on her face.

"Sweet dreams Sam." She whispered. She turned off the studio light and went to bed.

Sam tossed and turned. A soft smile on her face as she replayed the day's events over and over. She yawned and stretched her tight muscles. She stared in confusion at the blanket over her.

"Sam! Get up! We got twenty minutes to get to school!"

"Nerts!" She muttered under her breath. She hustled to get ready and met up with Carly and Freddie. The three friends headed off.

The trio entered the school. Overwhelming chatter greeted them. Sam smirked at the glare aimed her way. Unbeknown to her, Carly and Freddie saw.

"What was that about?"

"Nothing that concerns you Freddork." He sighed as he watched her head to her locker. He watched as she turned a corner and disappeared. He and Carly parted ways. He walked into Science and took his seat. He dug out his book and notebook. It was then Freddie realized what all the buzz was about. Jonah. Speaking of said boy, he walked in angrily.

"Yo, Benson!" Freddie turned at the sound of his name. Jonah looked around cautiously.

"Why so scared Jonah?"

"I ain't scared."

"Then why do you keep looking around like that?"

"Puckett." Freddie snickered.

"Scared of a girl are you?"

Jonah grumbled. "Bitch doesn't scare me." All humor vanished from Freddie's face. He stood up. The chatter in the room died instantly. Brad moved to his side.

A hand was placed on his shoulder, "Freddie..." Brad cautioned.

"What did you just say?" A dangerous tone seeped into his voice.

"Oh , come on. Don't tell me you don't agree. After all, she picks on you the most."

Freddie got in his face. "Sam is many things. A bitch isn't one of them."

Jonah snorted. "Are you serious? The girl torments you."

"That doesn't make her a bitch. Believe it or not, I consider Sam a friend." A circle formed around the two.

"Well then, pass a message to your friend. Yesterday was a one time thing." He sounded bitter.

Comprehension dawned on Freddie. He smirked. "Oh this is too good. You're telling me Sam is the one that did this to you? What did you do?"

"I didn't do a damn thing!"

"She may be violent but she doesn't do that without a reason."

"The first time, all I wanted to know was if Carly was single. The second time, I don't even know what I did honestly. I called her Puckett. For some reason that set her off."

Freddie looked curious. "She never reacted that way when I call her it."

"That bitch is cra-" A fist slammed into his face. Brad pulled Freddie away.

"Don't. Call. Her. A. Bitch."

"Freddie! Jonah!" Brad released Freddie. The three turned to see Principal Franklin.

"Freddie, my office. Now. Jonah, school nurse." Freddie was still furious as he shoved passed the crowd.

"Freddie Benson. What was that about?" He looked up at the sound of a voice.

"He called Sam a bitch."

"Oh my... Since this is your first time being in here for punishment, I'll send a note home to your mother." Freddie groaned.

He was still in a sour mood by the time he met up with Carly. He slammed his locker shut. Carly jumped from the sudden action.

"Sorry." He muttered.

"What's gotten into you?"

"Jonah." She backed away at his furious tone.

"Jonah?"

"Sam."

"Sam?"

"Sam. She was the one that beat him up yesterday."

"Ahh. Okay. But what did he do to you?"

"He said Sam was a bitch." He looked up when there was no response. She was looking behind him.

"Princess Puck-"

"I don't ever want to see you again, Benson." Her tone was hard.

"Sam-" She ignored him and walked away. Carly remained in a state of shock.

"How long was she there?"

"Not long. I think she only heard the last part."

"But, I wasn't! I would never-"

"I know Freddie." She made to follow Sam.

A hand held her back. She watched him run in the direction they last saw her go.

He saw a flash of blonde and bolted. "Sam!"

She walked on. "Samantha!"

"Samantha Puckett!" She froze for a second then resumed walking. He followed her outside to the courtyard. The conversation with Jonah replayed in his head. The next words out of his mouth had them both freeze.

"Freeze, Princess Puckett!"
