I took the idea of Rinkushido, and decided to use line breaks to differentiate the past and present!
But since this chapter is basically all past, instead of writing the words in italics, I decided to just use line breaks.
Sorry, if it's confusing!

Chapter 2
I opened my eyes and stared blankly into the door that leads to classes that holds all the precious memories of mine.
I got up and slowly started to walk toward the door.
As I passed the large field, I could still feel the times when everyone was happy, each class cheering for their own class, and Elsword's footsteps pounding hard on the ground. But all I could hear now was the footsteps of mine as I step in the cold snow, matching Elsword's sound of footsteps.
I stopped in front of the giant white gate. With shaking hands, I held the door knob and opened it slowly. As if no one stepped into this building for a long time, the door made a creaking noise. I stepped in and the cold air that blew through the old windows welcomed me. There was no scent or trace of humans, as if no one walked in for a long time. This school is abandoned.
"Guys, please. Stop running in the halls. Go outside where there is a bigger field."
"But, teacher! The principle won't let us go outside!"
It was one of those rainy days, when none of the students could go outside during P.E. to play soccer, or eat lunch the door that lead to the roof of the school wasn't open.
"Aisha, we'll meet you at the cafeteria."
Ara and Rena knocked on my wooden desk as they told me to meet in the cafeteria. I didn't even realize lunch have ended. I took off my glasses and placed it gently into my case and packed my backpack. I looked around and most of my classmates were gone, and it was only just few boys who were still sleeping, not noticing it's lunch time.
I quickly slid the door open and closed it gently. The hall was empty, since everyone rushed into cafeteria, trying to be in front of the line. On rainy days, I prepare my own meal so I don't have to worry about having problems like this, so I walked in a slow pace as I gazed outside the window.
Suddenly I heard foot steps behind me, so I quickly turned back to see who it was. The person has already gone up stairs but I saw a hint of red hair, and I wondered if it was Elsword. I quickened my pace and slowed down as I reached the corner of the hall that leads to stairs.
"This is the stair that leads to the roof... "
I started to go up the stairs and wondered to myself, if the red haired person was really Elsword, why is he going to the roof? It's raining hard anyway, the door should be locked... As I continued to walk up the stairs, I heard the turn of the door knob and the door itself opening and closing.
"It's open..? "
Curiosity of who it was, suddenly turned into curiosity of why was the door open. I quickened my pace and reached the front of the door with a heavy breathing. Suddenly my heart started pounding, I don't know why, but I know for sure that it's not from running all the way up here.
I twisted the door knob slowly and quietly, as if I was entering a room with a person sleeping. With the little space I had with the door opening, I saw the red haired person.
'It was Elsword..'
On this rainy day, Elsword was standing on the roof. The hard rain pounded on him, making his spiky hair flat.
'What is he doing..?"
I opened the door a little bit more, and I could see another person in front of him. Even though I couldn't see from the rain, I could tell it was a beautiful girl with long, silky black hair. Her fist was clenched up, and she seem to be yelling at Elsword, so I figured out she was mad.
'Don't you know, Elsword has a girlfriend that's in 3rd year!'
Suddenly the conversation with Rena that shocked me about two month ago flew into my head. That black haired girl is his girlfriend... I don't know if it's the rain or I'm tearing up, but Elsword and his girlfriend seems blurry.
Then suddenly, I saw the girl slap Elsword's cheek. Surprised, I had to block my mouth with my hands from any noise coming out. Elsword's head tilted to the side lifelessly and it seems like the girl is really furious. She yelled at Elsword once more and started walking toward my way. I quickly hid myself by hiding behind the door, hoping that she doesn't slam the door and notice that I'm here. Fortunately, she opened the door without any force and walked down. I realized she was crying, and she was soaked from the rain too.
I waited for few seconds, maybe a minute, to see if Elsword comes in, but it seems like it was quiet. I opened the door slightly once again, and I saw Elsword, still standing there. He wasn't holding a conversation with anyone. He was just standing there, getting soaked by the rain.
'What the heck is he doing?!'
I knew he was going to get a cold if he just stands there, so I took the courage and opened the door and walked outside.
"El.. Elsword!"
My voice stammered with the sudden chill of the rain. He slowly turned his head to face me, and I suddenly felt as if I made a mistake. It wasn't the rain drops on his cheek. It was tears. The cheerful, athletic, easy-going Elsword was crying. He's eyes and cheek was red, either from crying or the cold.
"Aisha..?"
His voice was shivering. I quickly grabbed his wrist and and ran with him to inside the school. I closed the door behind him as we entered.
I turned around to see Elsword and he was sitting down on the stairs, with his head down and his hands covering his face.
"Elsword.. what... what were you doing out there..?"
"Aisha go.. please."
His voice was still shaking, but if I had the courage to pull him into the school, then I knew I had the courage to face him.
"Elsword! Tell me!"
"Aisha, I said go. I want to be alone right now."
His voice got a little bit stronger as if he was mad. But I didn't give up. I wonder why I kept going, I just couldn't stop.
"Elsword! You're crying, and you're soaked from the r-"
"I broke up with my girlfriend, okay?!"
He turned toward my direction and yelled at me. His face was red, and the tears were still rolling down his cheeks. I suddenly felt as if I've done a mistake. Maybe I should've of ignored that hint of red hair and continued my walk toward the cafeteria. Maybe I should've of never opened that door. Maybe I should've of never pulled Elsword in.
"Els-.."
"I'm sorry.. could you just.. leave me alone for right now.."
He put his head down again, and didn't look me in the eye. I realized that I should just give up now and go back.
"... Sorry."
I started to tear up really quickly and in order to hide them, I ran downstairs. But I suddenly stopped, and I don't know why.
I looked up to see Elsword, still sitting down and crying.
"Make sure you eat medicine before you catch a cold."
Embarrassed, I started dashing downstairs. Why...did I say that?!
But then, I don't know if it was my imagination or not, I heard a faint chuckle from where Elsword was.
