To be noticed by him was all she ever wanted.
He occupied her thoughts, her dreams, her life.
So when he faltered she thought, that maybe, this once, he would see her.
Her strength, her will, her way.
A hope, against all hopes.
She defied his enemy, while he watched on in horror unable to move.
She was battered, bruised, and bleeding, but she never stopped fighting.
He screamed at her to stop, that he wasn't worth it.
He just didn't understand.
To her, he meant the world.
"Because I love you, I always will."
That without him her world would go dark.
She would lose her shining sun.
So she continued her assault, even until the end.
"Because that is my ninja way!"
When the blade pierced her flesh, she knew that the end had come.
She felt the life slowly drain from her body.
Faintly she heard him roar her name.
"Hinata!"
At least, she thought as she closed her eyes for the final time, he noticed her.
