CH 2 A Surprising Catch
It was a nice, warm day, on Route 1. Ash was training with Ross, Dratini vs Pikachu, and Serena kept by the campfire, since it was only 6:45 in the Morning. "Dratini, Thunder Wave!" Ross yelled. "Dodge and Quick Attack!" Ash yelled. No-One had hit the opposing Pokemon until Pikachu scored a Wild Charge on Dratini, and Ross called back Dratini. Beep. Beep. All of a sudden, Serena screams. A Pokeball sound dinged, and Ash and Ross ran over. "Are you okay?" asked Ross. "I was just startled by a Pidgey." Serena replied. "But you caught a Pokemon!" Ash exclaimed. "I guess you're right! Let's register it in our Pokedexes!" Serena said.

It was all peaceful after that. Dratini learned Ember, Pidgey learned Swift, and

All of a sudden, there was a form of human life. A kid with a blue ball cap, a yellow t-shirt, and jeans. Ash, Ross, and Serena casually walked by, but the boy said "My rattata is so good! He's in the top percentage! Go Rattata!" Rattata: the rat pokemon The PokeNav exclaimed. "Go, Pikachu!" Pikachu refused to battle. Ross then sent out Dratini, which didn't budge. Same goes for Eevee. But, Pidgey, seeing Rattata made it fill up in rage. New Move: Rage. "Hey!" The small boy said. "You found my Pidgey that ran away!" Pidgey started pecking at the boy with its Rage Attack. The boy surrendered, but Rattata got hit with a strong Gust, stronger than ever. The Rattata flies back, fainted, and the Pidgey flashes blue before gaining red hair-like things on it's head, and it grew into a slightly bigger Pidgeotto. Pidgeotto flies up and swoops down on The Boy and Rattata. "Okay, sorry!" The boy said at once. "My name's Joey, from the Johto Region. I tried to catch Sentrets, Ledybas, Zubats, Bellsprouts, even Paras! Rattata was my starter, I kinda, yu-know started below age? Many people do it, even though it's against Pokemon Law, but, I have a lot of money, my Mom, Beauty Shirley, and Dad, Baron Gerald, both have a lot of money. With my Mom's Vileplume and Pidgeot, I tried to catch a Pidgey, and I did, but it rebelled against me…. I'm Sorry. My dad had a rare Pokemon too, I think it was a Bagon and Nosepass. The live in Goldenrod-side Mansion. Please don't hurt me!" "Pidgeotto halted on Serena's command. "Only, if, Only, if you never catch another Pokemon or even think about it until you are ten. Okay?!" Serena said. "You may keep Rattata." "Thanks so much, I'll return to my vacation spot in Viridian City, okay?" The three nodded, and the boy ran off.
"That was close." Ross announced. "Sure was." The other two said in unison. "I kinda feel bad for the kid." Ash said. "He just wants to be a Pokemon Master, I wanted to be a Pokemon Master when I was his age, I still do. I even trained with the Gravelers in the Caves on the Ranch, with the Oddish and Bulbasaur in the forest, Sandshrew and Ponyta on the Plains. Even Poliwag and Poliwhirl in the lakes. I understand his feelings."
