I take gales bow, that Katniss gave him, and walk out the door. Something my mommy tells me not to do. But since she asleep I don't think she'll notice. You might be wondering why, even though I'm only 5 I'm about to go hunting. The truth is I've had more experience then you might think.

Last year (at this time I was only 4) I decided I needed to have an adventure. My life is very boring and I'm hardly even allowed out to go outside, but I didn't care, I wanted to have some fun! So I woke up bright and early on Gale and Katniss's hunting day and waited till she knocked on the door. After I heard it slam, I waited until I could no longer hear their footsteps and tiptoed to the door . I put on the boots that prim wore when she was my age, they were a bit big but they fit! then I carefully slipped out the door and followed Gale and Katniss until they got to the fence. I slid under and hid behind a tree .I watched them the whole time, it seemed pretty fun! When I figured they were about to leave I ran home. Everybody was still asleep! I was so much fun that I decided to tag along again. I decided I would do it every week with them, and so I did. I even shot a squirrel once when they decided to walk over to the pool. I wonder how stupid Katniss is to leave her bow lying there while she over at the pool but, oh well! So this is why I feel pretty darn confident that I can do this!

When I get to the fence I throw a rock at it to make sure there's no electricity and slide under. I have only ever used an arrow once so I'm probably not that good. I play around and shoot arrows every which way. I actually shoot one squirrel by doing that. I decided to do it the way I saw Katniss shoot. I look for a squirrel but can not see one. But there is an animal I do see, a rabbit. Usually I would hate to hurt a rabbit but I'm starving! I carefully aim and wait until it's happily nibbling on some clover. Then I shoot an arrow straight through its heart. A perfect shot.
