CHAPTER 1

It was calm like it usually was in the small farming community of Hawet. The crops were perfect, harvest was the same, and it seemed like nothing bad could ever happen in a million years. Well, of course that was true! Let's take a closer look, perhaps on one of the characters, shall we? Now as most would know, the women and girls would be trading and doing all of the housework, while the men and boys would be out farming and guarding the city. This was just basic for all cultures. There was one fellow who was a bit odd though. His name was Resu, and he didn't farm, nor guard the city. No, he was actually too poor to do anything! How did he survive? He made a small cave his quarters and lived off of the excess harvest. It seemed normal for even that type of person. He was "special", though. Nobody knows for sure why, he just is.

Resu was very educated. He read all of the books he found lying around everywhere and read them until he fell asleep. With that knowledge, he even invented objects to aid in his survival! The set of blueprints he enjoys most, are the ones that give direction to creating a kind of "elemental arrows". They weren't pure elemental arrows, but he added and replaced materials to mess around with the mechanics, aerodynamics, and DPS values of the arrows. He was quite the acher.

Today, in Hawet, is the annual Harvest Festival. It was the perfect day for him to sneak out some wheat, eggs, chicken, pork, beef, and maybe even a cake. He crouched on the highest point of the cathedral and looked down upon everybody in the night. This was his chance.

"There he is. See him on top of that cathedral? Kill him. If you fail, then you won't be coming back to tell the tale of how I didn't capture the boy. He must not know anything, nor should he see. Stay in the shadows; come to me when you are done. If you aren't back in 25 minutes, I'll head in and cause chaos. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Master!"
