"Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson

"…That's right. You saw what you saw." There was a pause. "That's how we roll in the Shire!"

Penny couldn't help but chuckle at the look on Kurt's stupid face, but was also slightly relieved when she heard Leonard lock his door. He would have to be in a saferoom for at least three days after Kurt left.

"Yeah, you better hide, you little freak!" Kurt shouted, starting to go towards the door.

Penny grabbed his arm. "Kurt." She sounded surprisingly stern for a ditzy drunk girl in a cat outfit. "Don't you dare."

He wrenched his arm out of her grasp. "Don't tell me what to do, Penny."

"You know what?" She shoved him out in the hallway and crossed her arms, not caring that two dozen people were watching. "It's my apartment, and as long as you are in it, I can tell you what to do! You have no right to just bully random people just because you can! So you can just shove that stupid loincloth up your sorry ass and leave my friend alone!"

"…I'm not in your apartment," he pointed out with what Penny was sure he thought was a winning smile.

"Thank God for that," she said. She grabbed his drink from him and tossed it on him. "And let's keep it that way. Goodbye, Kurt."

She slammed the door without another word and went back to her friend Vivian from the Cheesecake Factory.

"Ohhhh, that felt nice… So, candy, anyone?" she said cheerfully.

Kurt waited in the hallway for a full hour, but Penny didn't say a word to him. And, if she could help it, she never would again.
