King Bowser Koopa sighed as he sat on the edge of the fiery Metroid stage Norfair, the red magma not rising as he looked on from the edge. Donkey Kong appeared on the stage via transportation, approaching Bowser as he wondered what was going through the Koopa King's mind.

"Hey." Donkey Kong stated as he towered over Bowser, glancing down at him. "Why are you feeling so down?"

Bowser sighed as he turned to Donkey Kong, rolling his right hand around. "You ever get the feeling that you don't appreciate something until it's gone, DK?"

Donkey Kong rubbed his chin as he nodded his head. "Yeah. I get that feeling occasionally. Mainly because I think about my Coconut Gun."

Bowser sighed as he shook his head, glancing down at the magma. "Well, I haven't seen Lucario for a while. It makes me wonder just what he's going through right now."

Unbeknownst to Bowser, Lucario was actually doing some training on the other fiery Metroid stage of Brinstar, with Mr. Game and Watch popping up and approaching Lucario, who just finished blasting one of the various white sandbags with an Aura Sphere.

"Hmm? Something's up, Mr. Game and Watch?" Lucario remarked as he approached the 2D flat character, folding his arms together.

"You can just call me Gaw," Mr. Game and Watch, or Gaw as he put it, stated as he moved up and down, jumping as he asked, "So, how do you feel about the new Smash tournament coming up?"

Lucario sighed as he placed his right paw on his forehead. "On one hand, I am quite excited for it, but at the same time..." He shook his head, turning around and looking out to the sea of bright, yellow lava. "...I feel that several of our friends won't be able to make the fight."

"...Aww, you don't have to feel like that." Mr. Gaw said as he tried his best to comfort Lucario. "They might not be playable, but they'll always be here to support you. And us, the other fellow Smashers."

Lucario smiled as he nodded, shaking hands with Mr. Gaw. "I guess that is true. I can at least always come back to do previous matches in older tournaments with them."

"That's the spirit!" Mr. Gaw stated as he then treated Lucario to a warm meal of bacon and sausages, with Brinstar's heat warming it up quite easily, making Lucario feel better overall.

The End
