I'm alone in a cold, dark, room. I turn around, there's a single candle sitting on the floor. I walk over to it.
"Hello, Kai."
I jump as I see Lord Garmadon appear in front of me. "What do you want?"
"Oh, nothing," Says Lord Garmadon. "The question is: What do you want?"
"What?" He's playing mind games. "What-What are talking about?"
"You remember when I kidnapped your sister, correct?" Says Garmadon.
I grit my teeth. "How could I forget?"
"What would you do if I were to kidnap her again?"
I feel like someone has just stabbed me in the heart. Again? How? " No...No, you can't...Please!"
Lord Garmadon grins at me evilly. "What are you going to do about it?"
"I'm gonna-I'm gonna-" I stammer. "I'm gonna stop you! I won't let you take her away again. Never!"
Lord Garmadon starts to fade. "I'm coming for her, Kai..."
The candle blows out, and the room goes pitch black.
I woke up screaming. Cole sat up and smacked his head on the ceiling. Jay rolled out of bed and fell on the floor. Good thing he has the bottom bunk.
"Brother Kai! Are you okay?" Cried Zane.
I sat up and looked at the familiar sights around the room: At my friends, the rising sun out the window. "It was...Just a dream." I said.
"Huh?" Cole asked.
"All of it...Just a dream!" I laughed out of sheer joy. "Hah! A dream! Haha!"
"Dude! You're freaking me out! What was just a dream?" Asked Jay. I told them about my nightmare with Lord Garmadon. When I was done, I may've been a bit more freaked out than before.
"Well, nothing to worry about now," Said Cole. He yawned sleepily. "After all, it was just a dream."
"I will cook breakfast," Said Zane.
"But...It's my turn to cook,"Said Cole.
"Yes, I know," The nindroid said happily, and promptly walked out of the room. Cole muttered something about his culinary gift not being appriciated, then followed Zane to breakfast.
"That was awesome!" Jay shouted. "I mean, I don't even think his humor switch was on!"
Jay followed them out, leaving me alone.
That was the creepiest dream I'd ever had. That's when I had a sickening thought: What if it was more than a dream.
