Chapter 2

"Oh Armeda dear," my mother called from the couch, "come here please."

I walked to the couch and took a seat between my father and mother. Jacade sat across from me, his eyes boring into mine. I got lost in the pools of caramel, I could just imagine his arms wrapped around me, him pulling me in for a hungry kiss….

"Armeda!" My father commanded harshly.

I snapped out of my trance and apologized quietly.

A man with black hair and honey eyes, who I was assuming was Jacade's father looked at his son and then at me. He then smiled. "Welcome to our pack Armeda."

I just nodded, still unsure of why we came all this way to join this pack when there was one back home.

I saw my mother glaring at Jacade out of the corner of my eye.

"So Armeda, your father told me you're a very skilled werewolf for your age," my father's face showed nothing but pride.

I just smiled and looked down, blushing slightly.

"Oh Robert, isn't she just so pretty!" Jacade's mother gushed.

I looked at her for the first time, she had raven hair and deep sea green eyes. Her skin was also tan and flawless. She was gorgeous. I could tell she was Robert's mate by the way they looked at each other, just like my parents did. Nothing but love, something I hoped for one day.

"Have you mated yet, Armeda?" Lilian asked, I finally found out her name.

"No, not yet but I know I'll find him soon," I smiled at the thought.

She giggled and my father huffed, probably remembering exactly what he and my mom did when they were young and I didn't even want to know.

"My Jac hasn't found a mate either," she turned, looking at her son with adoration.

I just nodded. I listened to them talk for a while and then heard a familiar voice behind me.

"Devon!" I screeched, running into his arms.

"Ame!" He laughed.

I hadn't seen my brother in two years. He put me down and looked me over.

He smiled, "The change did you good, but now I'm going to have to protect you from every male in sight," he scanned the room.

I just punched him in the arm.

"Well I can't have all these teenage boy werewolves with even higher testosterone levels than your average teenage boys all over my little sis," he winked.

"Your little sis is a big girl now and likes to have fun every once in a while," I winked back and he just shook his head disappointingly.

"Never should have left," he mumbled.

I just smirked. He had no idea what I've done. I'm still a virgin but have almost lost my v card multiple times but I always backed out, wanting to save that for my mate. I wanted him to be the only man I ever sleep with, the only man I ever love. I sighed in contentment.

"So what's the line up around here?" I asked.

"Jacade's father is the Alpha and Lilian is the Alpha Luna. George Gracen was Beta until dad and mom came back. They'll now take over those positions and he will be knocked down to third, which means someday I'll take over the Beta and Jacade will be our Alpha when we turn twenty one." He explained. I still didn't know a lot about the werewolf thing but I was getting the hang of it now.

"So, why does mom want me to stay away from Jacade?" I looked over at him quickly, turning away blushing when his eyes met mine.

"He's a player, brings back a new girl every night. Girls only want to be with him in hopes that one of them will be his Luna but he waiting just in case his mate shows up."

I rolled my eyes, "And to think I thought we had a connection," I muttered.

"What?" Devon looked at me curiously.

"I didn't say anything," I lied smoothly.

His eyes searched mine, looking for any weakness and then he just shrugged his shoulders, "Whatever."
